POV 1st Inheritor Bryan K, Peterson
Washington DC United States of America
Whisky Hotel AKA the white house
02/24/20XX 01:32
I blended in with the local Military/Militia forces as a support gunner for the first few days of the outbreak forces from Anacostia to Andrews any and all branches went to defend the capitol of the United States of America. From then on though we lost more and more ground till all we held was the Washington monument, Capitol building, US Treasury and Agriculture buildings, White House, and Several Command Posts scattered in-between.
The mental and physical toll on both solider and civilian was unfathomable as wounded both mentally and physically were put wherever there was room and medics/surgeons had to pick who was worth trying to save. As time went on medical supplies dwindled however ammo, food, and clean water were still in plentiful supply but at the rate we were receiving wounded especially at the white house where I got stationed we would have to start cleaning the dead pretty soon but putting them outside seemed wrong on a very personnel level. The dead had to start being pilled just outside on the white house lawn while the wounded lined the hallways their moans mixed with the radio operators and sporadic gunfire. It smelled like blood, sweat, and death for every three we killed they wounded or killed one of us.
(Above is helmet cam footage of a wounded solider Corporal Henderson Peterson receiving a weapon to defend a road section north of the department of agriculture building.)
"Hey pig I need you to take your shift early we lost one of our gunners the general is calling all of us to take up positions!" A runner came running up to me then continued yelling at all the support gunners to take a position that he clearly memorized needed to be filled.
I ran up the stairs of the white house and zigzagged around collapsed rooms and destroyed hallways till I made it to one of our makeshift ladders to the roof. Climbing quickly, I saw why I was needed a few positions had mutilated and destroyed bodies gunfire had ripped apart a line of soldiers facing the south lawn.
I set up my M249 LMG prone on a bloody tarp that was once occupied by a beheaded gunner. Once I set up, I heard the shuffle of soldiers moving bodies so they could set up positions I did not have much time to reflect before we had more females charge across the body strewn battlefield.
(above is a picture taken by solider on a destroyed section of the white house roof overlooking Washington DC)
"Contacts fire at will!" The chorus of gunfire that followed was thunderous. We continued to fire soldiers yelling callouts for help, orders, and everything else frantically.
"Ammo!"
"Medic!"
"Sniper in the 3-story building 2 floor left side!"
"My ammo is black I need more over here!"
"FUCK IM HIT!"
"Take this you bitches!"
"My cover is gone moving to another location!"
"Take that sniper out!"
"Negative no shot!"
It kept going the city looked like it was on fire as we fought desperately to keep the enemy at bay. It was then that I saw an APC with a megaphone on it drive down the lawn. I looked around and saw that the soldiers were just as dumbfounded as I was.
"Cease fire!"
"Cease fire!"
The order came over the radio we obeyed but reloaded and some resupplied the many soldiers that had joined me on the roof. One of the soldiers next to me went over to a stack of crates grabbed one and dragged it near my position opening and taking out a Javelin rocket launcher setting his aim on the APC.
"Solider don't fire unless I give the order!" the officer with us yelled.
The crackle of the megaphone came to life as we held our fire a few warning shots from different locations from all over the roof deterring would be opportunists was heard.
"Attention soldiers your government has fallen and a new one has taken its place surrender now and all crimes committed by you will be forgiven. Many of you have families lets end this senseless and pointless violence. You have fought valiantly but the time to surrender has come."
I heard the crackle of Whisky Hotels speaker system turned on.
"We gave an oath to our republic to the constitution of the United States of America and we don't recognize your authority to order us to surrender we will fight to our bitter end so help us god! Send your forces were not afraid to die!" The colonel yelled back.
Shouts of defiance reverberated throughout the white house as well as above it as we shouted our approval of what the colonel said. Even I got caught up raising my fist and voice with soldiers. Once the shouting died down, we got our response back from the APC.
"Your time is over this is your final warning surrender now or we will use force to subjugate and kill all of you!" The voice from the apc yelled back.
The officer next to me put his hand to his hear as he received an order. He tapped the solider with the javelin and spoke to him words I couldn't make out.
"We our soldiers of the United States of America our spirit of freedom and our duty to god, country and family will never waver even if we lose here we will fight you anywhere and everywhere you will never truly win you want my answer how about you take your new government and fuck yourself." The colonel replied. As he finished, I heard the officer next to me yell on word.
"FIRE!!!"

POV Hailee Paxton News Reporter
News chopper hovering over the battlefield Washington DC
"Are we live?"
"Yea."
"This is Hailee Paxton from VNN As you can see from these live pictures of the white house a small hold out of soldiers of the now former United States of America's Armed forces still hold several locations here in DC. We also have received reports that male citizens are fleeing to these holdouts and are joining the former US armed forces in holding buildings critical to the new government of North America. Hopefully within a few more days the soldiers will realize the hopeless nature of their situation and surrender to our new government. Our leaders are still offering amnesty for their actions as they integrate into our society."
The camera zooms in on the Whitehouse roof*
"As you can see plenty of dead men's blood stains the white house roof as you can see from"
"LOOK OUT!"
The camera women yelled as the helicopter dipped to avoid a rocket missing only slightly.
"Are you okay Hailee it's not safe here we got to pull out!" The chopper pilot yelled.
"No the people need to see this!" I yelled back. We need this footage to get out there.
The camera accidentally zooms in a bit further to see a solider looking lost on the white house lawn get surrounded.
The solider drops his weapon and has his hands in the air and in quick fashion his body was ripped apart by a shotgun from one of the women that surrounded him. I got my wish, but this was seen and recorded live to the entire world to see and judge.
"Another rocket!"
"Shit!" The pilot yelled this time failing to evade the rocket.
I felt brief pain before everything went blank.
