Chapter 3: God Tier Luck

"So let me get this straight, all of you are Hero?" Isabelle questioned.

"Yes" The four heroes replied.

Currently, Isabelle was in the main hall sitting down with the newest addition to the Super Smash Ultimate Roster. However, what she didn't expect was four different warriors all given the title of Hero from Dragon Quest.

"This is confusing" Isabelle commented.

"Maybe we can sort of give them names to differentiate them, like how we have different names for the two Pokémon Trainers" Robin suggested.

"That is a good idea" Link agreed.

"Ok then, do you all have different names?" Isabelle asked.

"Yes, my name is Luminary" Hero from DQ11 answered.

"I am Erdrick" Hero from DQ3 added.

"I go by the name Solo" Hero from DQ4 stated.

"My name is Eight" Hero from DQ8 finished.

"Eight?" Simon questioned.

"My parents were not that creative" Eight exclaimed.

"Well, it's good to know that you guys have names to differentiate on another, welcome to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate" Isabelle greeted.

A week later

Currently, on the training field, Marth was having a spar with Luminary while Roy was sparring with Erdrick. They were going at each other, one on one battles. Marth noticed that Luminary was firing a lot of different moves. There were multiple different flame projectiles, different styles of sword swings, and even some dark looking magic.

"Hey Luminary" Marth called out.

"Yeah?" Luminary replied.

"What's with the many moves?" Marth questioned.

"Well, I have this move called Command Selection which lets me pick between four random moves to use every time I use it" Luminary answered.

"Four random moves" Marth commented.

"Yeah, so I have a lot of different choices" Luminary added, "I also have a move called Hocus Pocus which gives me random effects"

Before Marth could even question it any further, Roy suddenly came flying past them and landed on a nearby tree. Walking closer to him, Marth could see that he was in a state of high percentage. He looked back to see Erdrick scratching the back of his neck with a sheepish look on his face.

"Eh heh heh, that can happen" Erdrick sheepishly said.

"What did you do?" Marth questioned.

"Sometimes when I attack, I have a 1 in 8 chance of doing a critical hit which will do more damage and knockback" Erdrick answered.

"What?" Marth exclaimed.

"He has it in his normal moves while we have it locked to our Final Smash?" Roy questioned as he got up.

"Well, we just have a lot of random luck in us" Luminary stated.

"Can't help it, we strive on luck" Erdrick added. Marth and Roy looked at each other and sighed, this will be a long day for them.

A few days later

At the casino building, a lot of the fighters were playing around with the slot machines. Many were testing their luck with everyone having mixed results. Chrom lost every single time making his wife annoyed, Cloud and Tifa managed to get at least 1 jackpot, and Ganondorf had always been too close, but never got it. Eight casually walked in and saw everyone trying their luck, so he decided to ask about it.

"Hey Cloud, what do you do in this?" He asked.

"Basically, you pull this lever, and the three dials will spin" Cloud explained, "Get three of the same things, you can win certain amounts of money"

"Ok then" Eight said.

He proceeded to put some tokens into the machine and pulled the lever. After the dials were spinning for a minute, all three of them landed a seven. Tokens started pouring out of the machine while Eight frantically filled up his buckets. Everyone else in the casino was shocked to see his luck. Deciding that he'll do it again, Eight pulled the lever again and got another jackpot.

"What the hell?" Samus questioned. (I will refer to ZSS as Samus because I don't want to write more)

"How in the world is his luck this good?" Ken asked.

"I HATE THIS!!!" Ganondorf yelled as he punched one of the slot machines, destroying it.

"Hey, Ganon, those machines cost a lot of money to fix" Jaden scolded.

"Oh, sorry about that" Ganondorf apologised.

"That will be on your bill next time" Jaden sighed.

"So, what can I do with all these tokens?" Eight asked. Afterwards, Eight walked out of the casino pushing a wheelbarrow full of money.

The Next Day

Ever since the Heroes were brought into town, they just kept getting all the good luck. Solo walked around town for 15 minutes and managed to find at least 30 coins. Every time Erdrick went grocery shopping, he somehow gets more things than asks for like 5 things in a 4 pack of food or a watermelon with barely any rind. Luminary would always get the prize whenever he plays on the claw machines at the arcades. Lastly, Eight would always get the best pulls whenever he opens card packs. At the main hall, a bunch of the fighters were talking about the current situation.

"Man, how do the Heroes get all this luck?" Red questioned.

"It's almost as if they get good luck every single time" Robin exclaimed.

"Now that I think about it, we never see them have any bad luck situations" Link stated.

"Yeah, and a bunch of us already have randomness in our playstyle, so why do they get the better luck?" Roy complained.

"I wish we had luck like them" Ness sighed.

Out of nowhere, there were some loud sounds outside. Everyone ran out to see what had happened and it was an unexpected sight. It seems that the Heroes had all tripped and something happened to each of them. Luminary landed in a rose bush and got some scratch marks, Erdrick got a bucket stuck on his foot, Solo fell into a hole, and Eight landed in a puddle of mud. After seeing this, everyone realised that they aren't always lucky and went about with their day. Sometimes, good luck must come to an end.

Just to clarify, I am not trying to poke fun at Hero mains. I am one myself and there are times when I am lucky and when I am not.
