It's been three years since Bowser and Princess Peach have been murdered. Which is Mario getting revenge on Bowser since he had burnt the princess alive. It's not so sure why Bowser did this, but it did. After Mario killed him, he wanted unlimited power! He so disappeared from everyone, to go embark on a quest. He also brought something with him to get this unlimited power. Mario soon came across the Temple of Galeem and Temple of Dharkon. He grabbed out his item and placed the liquid that can give him the powers of Galeem and Dharkon. But if he drank one, it would not let him have the other god's power, so he had to mix them. When he did, he started changing. One eye was light and the other was dark. He became The Lord of Light and Darkness. He then would catch the attention of Master Hand and Crazy Hand. They both were going to stop his madness! But it was too late, as Mario forced them both down to the ground. "You'll make the perfect minions!" Mario's dark and echoed voice would say, and they have been serving him ever since. He made evil run away. He then sought to find a power source to make him even more powerful, the Chaos-Emeralds. This caught the attention of Sonic, as Luigi told him everything Mario has told him. Sonic trusted Mario as a friend, but he saw his friend corrupted. Mario soon would gather some of the Super Smash Bros roster . It's up to Sonic to search for the Chaos Emeralds and the rest of  the people who are against  Mario to distract him and his army. This is the era known as... The Takeover!
