Meanwhile, in the middle of the what was known as the Subspace, Waluigi sat on a throne, admiring the three glowing stones in his gauntlet. The shining colors of purple, blue, and orange reminded him of the power of he now possessed.
"Well, that's three stones. I just need three more. That shouldn't be difficult," Waluigi thought to himself. That was when Wolf approached him from the shadows.
"Did you capture him?" Waluigi asked Wolf, who kneeled.
"All according to plan, boss. Bring him in, boys," Wolf calles. The robots walked in, dragging in Sonic.
"Waluigi...," Sonic growled.
"Well, if it isn't Mario's blue rat," Waluigi scoffed. Sonic wanted to break from these robots and attempt to try and get a shot at Waluigi, but he knew that wouldn't work.
"Thank you, Wolf. You will receive you pay in full," Waluigi said. Wolf grinned and walked off. This left Waluigi, along with Sonic(and the robots apprehending him).
"Well, what do you want? I've got things to do. Like figure out how my friends and I can kick your butt," Sonic said.
"Oh, I'm sure the Mario Bros will try and stop me. But they will fail," Waluigi said. "In the mean time..."
Waluigi presses the intercom in his throne.
"He's all yours," Waluigi said. He turned turned to the Blue Blue.
"Well, I'm off to find some more stones. Don't be a hassle, please," Waluigi said in almost a mocking tone. He disappeared in a portal. That was when Sonic heard evil laughing.
"What... oh no...," Sonic said. The laughs had belonged to his nemesis, Dr. Eggman, and an old man he didn't recognize.
"Well, if it isn't Sonic! It's nice to see you! For once, you've decided to slow down, I see," Eggman mocked.
"You won't get away with this, Eggface" Sonic growled.
"Take him to the operation area," the other man said. The robots dragged Sonic away, leaving Eggman and his partner alone.
"Well, Dr. Wily, what's the plan?" Eggman asked to the other man.
"What? Isn't he your rival?" Wily questioned.
"Just seeing if you had any suggestions. I do have a plan," Eggman replied.
"Well, let's here it!"
"I recently have been studying about an old ninja clan known as the Lin Kuei. At one point in time, the clan's grandmaster had an operation almost all of the clan into cyborgs!" Eggman explained.
"Wait, are you saying we could do that to Sonic?"
"Perhaps. While it may be hard to do, we both have experience in robotics. Also, I've put animals into robots. Why not turn an animal into a robot, so to speak."
"I like it, Doctor! Let's get planning right away!" Dr. Wily piped up. The two then shared an evil laugh.
Should all six be collected, a the person wearing the gauntlet will have all power in the world.
"Are you serious?" Shadow said to himself. With help from Fox, had found a book on what Shadow has been looking for. While Shadow questioned how Marth had even got the book, he was still glad that he'd gotten things figured out. Once all was said and done, he could be back on the battlefield, where he belonged. That was when a portal opened up. Mario walked out with a young girl behind him.
"Mario. Your timing couldn't be any better. Where's Sonic?" Shadow asked. Mario cringed in the inside. He was hoping he could avoid this question at all costs.
"Well..."
"What!? He was kidnapped?"
"Whatever Wolf did, he perfectly planned it so that he could get Sonic and escape. He had it planned all along," Mario said grimly.
"Well... add that to the bucket list," Shadow grumbled.
"Did you find any information? You said my timing couldn't have been better," Mario said. He was glad that he was able to change the subject.
"Right. I've written out a quick summary of the important stuff," Shadow said, while handing Mario a piece of paper. Mario began reading. Apparently, the gauntlet was called the Power Glove. It was made with six power stones, by the Guardian Council of the realms. But one of the members, known as Thanos, got greedy, and desired to have to Power Glove's power for himself. However, the guardian council stopped him. They scattered the stones and the glove all over the realms. They would appear once every one hundred and fifty years. If the Power Glove was not found, it would disappear. However, if the Power Glove was found, then the stones would stay until they were recovered. Each stone had its own abilities. For example, the green stone, or the Time Stone, had the power to reverse or speed time. The purple stone, or Power Stone(this is obviously confusing due to the fact that the stones as a collection are call the power stones), could give it's user more power. By the time Mario finished, he was horrified. Waluigi had found The Power Glove. Since the stones were all in different worlds, Waluigi was attacking all these worlds, just to find where they were.
"But why?" he wondered. Mario eventually finished reading the summary. He set the paper back on the table where Shadow had been reading. It was quiet for a minute. Eventually Shadow broke the silence.
"Wait, you had someone else with you. Who was she?" Shadow asked.
"Oh she's... wait, where'd she go?" Mario said, looking both ways.
"She must have run off. Who is she?"
"You're not going to believe this, but...," Mario started. After a few minutes of Mario explaining, Shadow closed his eyes and crossed his arms.
"This is becoming hard to process," Shadow said, shaking his head.
"Sorry about that. But I feel like she's a piece to another puzzle. She said she wasn't attacked by Waluigi. That means there's another puzzle that needs solved."
"Well, I've got enough information. Waluigi has already got about three, according to Fox, since he got the Power Stone," Shadow said. "I should be able help you out with recruiting."
"I'm going to keep going on my own for a bit. I don't want Waluigi going after you too."
"Hmm... that's a good point. But what are they gonna do to him?" Shadow asked.
"I'm not sure. What I am sure about is trying to get the other three Power Stones before Waluigi does," Mario said.
"Well, you could talk to Falcon. I'm sure he'll be itching to help," Shadow said.
"Good idea. I'm on it!" Mario said. He set the coordinates in, and he was off to find the F-Zero racer.
