Shadow sank to his knees after Waluigi snapped his fingers. Luigi, meanwhile, looked in confusion at what Waluigi had done.
"Get strong Luigi... let your wounds heal...," Waluigi croaked, with an evil smile in his face.
"What did you do?" Luigi asked, knowing it had been no good.
"We'll meet again... on my terms...," Waluigi said, then disappeared with a portal beneath of him. Meanwhile, outside, a quick flash of light caught everyone off guard. The villains stopped.
"It's over! Let's get out of here!" Wario said. The villains nodded and followed Wario through a portal.
"What's going on? Did we win?" Mario asked in confusion.
"I think it's worse than that!" Sonic cried. Mario looked, and to his horror, he saw that Sonic was disintegrating! Sonic was eventually dust.
"Sonic!" Mario cried, but it wasn't long before Mario began to disintegrate too. Ken and Ryu looked on. After seeing the battle had ended, they fist bumped, just before Ryu disintegrated.
"Cloud, what do we do?" Other Zelda asked, nervously holding on to him.
"Everything will be okay," Cloud said assuringly, before the two were disintegrated. Marth, Chrom, and Roy, soon were next. Falco soon followed. Meanwhile, the Belmonts stood together, watching the madness.
"I don't feel so good, Simon. I just wanted to say... it was an honor to meet you...," Richter said weakly.
"What? Richter, what's happening to you?" Simon asked shocked, as Richter began to disintegrate.
"Goodbye Grandpa...," Richter said, before he was gone.
Lucina had not let go of Ike since Ridley's attack. Luckily, she was unharmed. Ike, unfortunately, began to disintegrate. Before Lucina knew it, her love was gone. Seeing this, she went and retrieved Ragnell. She met up with the survivors: Falcon, Fox, Simon, and Ken. Also, the Kongs, as well as the Yoshi army were okay. The five looked at each other uncertainly.
Back in the castle, Luigi was still unsure about what had happened. He finally turned after hearing Sheik groan. As he looked, he saw magic surround Sheik's body, before turning back into a familiar face.
"Zelda!" Luigi cried in shock, running to her side. As he held Zelda, she slowly opened her eyes.
"Luigi... I... didn't... mean... what... I...," Zelda managed to get out, before eventually passing out. Luigi quickly checked her pulse, as Shadow walked up to him.
"Is she breathing?"
"Yeah."
"Luigi!" Luigi changed back to normal, and he turned to see Falcon, Lucina, Simon, Fox, and Ken heading into the throne room.
"What's happening? Did Waluigi's army retreat?" Luigi asked.
"Yeah... but that's not the problem. Everyone else, gone. They were just... reduced to dust... Marth, Roy..."
"Falco..."
"Ryu..."
"Richter...,"
"Ike...,"
Everyone? Even Mario?" Luigi asked. He was hoping that this was just a joke. Unfortunately, Falcon nodded.
"No...," Luigi said, falling to his hands and knees. Shadow walked up to Luigi, placing his hand on his shoulder.
"Luigi... I'm sorry... I remembered something from my studies... with the Power Glove... Waluigi is able to wipe out half of the world in a snap...," Shadow said. Luigi stood and looked at Shadow and nodded.
"You're fine. It's on me. I should've finished Waluigi when I had the chance,"Luigi said grimly. The seven stood where they were. They were quiet, wondering what would happen next.
