It had taken Sonic awhile to get used to his new body, but in know time at all, he was speeding around the castle(and occasionally blowing things up with his rocket launchers).
"This is great! I still get my speed, and I have a bunch of cool new gadgets!" Sonic boasted, as Luigi, Shadow, and Megaman has sat down in the dining area.
"Oh please, I've seen more weaponry in a toaster," Megaman replied sarcastically. Luigi raised an eyebrow.
"What kind of toaster is that?"
"Oh, Dr. Light made it. He was tired of Wily stealing it."
Meanwhile, Mario walked into the dining area. Luckily, he hadn't experienced anything unusual when recruiting Donkey and Diddy Kong, as well as recruiting the entire Yoshi clan. He knew the Yoshis were great in combat, so they were the castle's outside defense.
"Well, that's done. What should we do now?" Mario asked.
"Well, we should still try and recruit as many as we can. We have no idea how many people Waluigi has behind him," Shadow pointed out. Mario nodded. He pulled out the device out and began to look for locations.
"Huh... that's strange..."
"What is it?"
"This one just has a question mark,"
"Maybe somewhere knew?"
"It's worth a shot. Well, if I go," Mario said, unenthusiastically. That was when a hand grabbed his shoulder. It was Falcon.
"You're not going alone. I let you go alone too many times."
"Yeah, and when we did go together, we destroyed one of the most famous sports arenas in history."
"That won't happen this time. Promise."
"You sure!"
"Yes!" Falcon replied, startling the others. Mario grinned.
"Well, nice to see someone having a light side somewhat. Come on, let's go," Mario answered. After setting coordinates, the two headed in. When they arrived, they found themselves in a castle. Though it was much older looking than Marth's. Mario and Falcon found themselves behind some old statues. They looked from behind the statues to see a man on a throne. He had long hair, as well as dark robes. He also had long nails. He had a glass of red wine. He was being approached by a younger man. He wore a blue shirt and white pants. He carried a whip with him on his belt.
"Die monster. You don't belong in this world!" The man in blue yelled.
"Monster? Other than a lack of nail clippers, he seems pretty normal to normal to me," Mario whispered to Falcon.
"It was not by my hand that I am once again given flesh. I was brought here by humans who desire to pay me tribute," the man on the throne replied.
"Tribute!? You steal men's souls, and make them your slaves!" The man in blue retorted, reaching for his whip.
"Perhaps the same could be said of all religions," the man on the throne answered back.
"This is honestly so weird. Who is that guy?" Falcon asked.
"Well, he's definitely more than meets the eye, that's for sure," Mario replied, keeping his eyes on the two men.
"Your words are as empty as your soul, monster. Mankind ill needs a savior such a you!" The man in blue said boldly. He now had his whip in his hand.
"What is a man!?" The man on the throne was now standing. He threw his glass of red wine at the man in blue, white got out of the way. "A miserable little pile of secrets. But enough then. Have at you!"
With this, the man on the throne suddenly transformed into a swarm of bats flying away to the other side of the room. The man in blue started throwing axes at the swarm.
"This is insane! What's even going on???" Falcon asked. Mario ignores this. He wasn't sure if this was the weirdest part of their adventure. That was when a strange portal, different from the ones Mario and Waluigi appeared. A man dashed through the portal. He had blonde hair, wore clothes much different than the man in blue. He had a whip in his hand. Mario realized that the whip looked similar to the man in blue's.
"DRACULA! YOUR HEAD IS MINE!" The new man yelled, charging at the bat man. Mario and Falcon looked at each other in shock.
"That's Dracula???"
"Well, he's definitely not the 'I want to suck your blood' Dracula most people know," Mario said. Dracula looked in surprise.
"Simon Belmont... I seem to recall battling you millennia ago," Dracula said, sending fireballs at the blonde man.
"And I destroyed you! And now you've returned. So I'll destroy you again!" Simon said, throwing his own axes at Dracula.
"Simon... Belmont?" The man in blue gasped.
"Well, this is a treat. I get to destroy two of the Belmonts!" Dracula said defiantly. The two continued to battle. It eventually seemed that the two men were victorious over Dracula. That was when Dracula suddenly began to shake.
"Wait, what's he doing?" Mario asked. That was when Dracula transformed into a giant demon.
"Behold my power!" Dracula said. The Belmonts looked at each other, and both went toward Demon Dracula. Unfortunately, with one swipe of his claws, he sent the two to the ground.
"I finally achieve a great victory today. I destroy Simon Belmont!" Dracula said, stomping towards the fallen Belmonts. That was when Falcon started by running back.
"Wait, where are you going?" Mario asked, flabbergasted.
"Doing what I do best!" Falcon said, leaping over the statues.
"He's gonna get us killed," Mario groaned. Falcon kept toward Dracula.
"Falcon.... PUNCH!" Falcon yelled, connecting with Dracula's head. Dracula merely shrugged off the hit, before sending Falcon flying against the statues. Mario ran out from behind the statues. Dracula glared at Mario.
"Who are you!? Why are you interrupting my vengeance?" Dracula seethed.
"Just a guy trying to save the world," Mario shrugged. He charged at Dracula, dodging Dracula's swipes. He leaped up , swinging his hammer in Dracula's head. Dracula swiped at Mario, but a Mario was too fast.
"I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die!" Mario said to himself, continually to dodge Dracula's swipes. Luckily, he didn't have to worry. A coffin suddenly appeared, grabbing the demon. The combined effort of the Belmonts trapped Dracula in the coffin. They ranked it down with their whips, then prepared for the finishing blow.
"GRAND CROSS!" The two yelled, as spiritual energy showered the coffin. When the coffin reappeared and opened, Dracula was gone. Mario sighed with relief, then went to check on Falcon who was recovering from the attack.
"You good?" Mario asked, helping the Supersonic Slugger to his feet.
"I'll manage," Falcon said, stumbling along. Simon and the other man approached the two.
"You there! Who are you, and what are you doing here?" Simon demanded, directing his whip at the two.
"Honestly, I'm not sure. But we're kind of in a multidimensional crisis, so we got to get going," Mario blurted, trying to get the device.
"What are you talking about? And what does Dracula have to do with?" The man in blue questioned.
"You know what? I have NO CLUE!" Mario said, shrugging his shoulders.
"Well, the question is, how did he get here?" The man in blue asked, gesturing to Simon.
"Me? The question is, how did you get my Vampire Killer?" Simon demanded.
"How do I say this... my name is Richter Belmont. You are one of my ancestors," Richter said.
"So the Belmont legacy does live on, Simon said, surprised.
"The tails I've heard about you. You've defeated Dracula multiple times," Richter said in awe.
"You mean the guy who acted like my Falcon Punch was a pillow?" Falcon asked Mario. Mario rolled his eyes.
"Ha! It seems my reputation proceeds me!" Simon laughed.
"So you've fought that guy, who literally has the power turn into a demon person, and can take a hammer which can break through any material, and beat him?" Mario asked. Simon nodded in response. Mario had to think.
"I don't know if I should take these guys along. I mean, that Dracula guy looked pretty tough, but would he be able to tangle with someone as dangerous as Waluigi?" He thought to himself. "Also, how did Simon get here, if he's Richter's ancestor?"
"Well, where do we feature?" Richter asked. Mario had zoned out in thought, not knowing Falcon had explained what had been going on with Waluigi.
"Well, we need all the help we can get. So will you help us?" Falcon asked.
"I will. If Dracula is involve in any way, I won't let him get away with it!" Simon declared.
"I will too," Richter piped up.
"Well, let's get going. Times short enough as it is," Mario said. He quickly set the device, and the four quickly headed back to Altea.
