All our heroes finally landed safely on the ground. They took a look around. It was another bright colored place.
"Man, these places are getting more and more colorful!" Fox said, taking a look around.
"Where are we, anyway?" asked Mario.
"This is the land of Pokemon," Shadow said out of nowhere. Everyone stared at him.
"Dude, how do you know that?" asked Luigi.
"I'm the Ultimate Life Form, Luigi, I know these things," Shadow answered.
"Any other info?" Sonic asked.
"These Pokemon are trainable monster like creatures. They are caught using these," Shadow said, with a ball in his hand,"This is a pokeball. These are used to obviously, catch these Pokemon. They are then used for things like battle, and they can be used as pets as well. They..."
Suddenly, another pokeball appeared out of nowhere. It hit Shadow on top of the head. Shadow was then sucked into the ball!
"Huh... SHADOW!" cried Sonic. They turned to see a young boy with a yellow mouse like creature. The boy, obviously, had been the one who threw the pokeball.
"That yellow thing must be a Pokemon!" Mario thought. Luckily, Shadow was able to pop out of the pokeball.
"What's the big idea, child?" Shadow demanded.
"Uh, sorry. I thought you were a legendary Pokemon no one had been able to catch," the boy said sheepishly.
"Well, let it be known, you insolent child, that I am no Pokemon," Shadow growled.
"Okay, sorry," the boy said, "I've looking for new Pokemon. I haven't seen any Pokemon in the past few days. It's like they all,just disappeared!"
"They just... disappeared?" Falco asked.
"Yeah. The only Pokemon I've seen the Pokemon of other trainers, as well as my own," the boy protested.
"Strange, that our arrival to this world is the same time as these Pokemon mysteriously disappeared," Shadow thought out loud.
"Your arrival? I'm confused..."
"It's a long story. What's your name, kid?"
"Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town."
"Well, if you let me explain, I'll tell you the story..."
"Hey, bro, can I be the one who writes it?"
"Knock it off, Luigi!"
"Chill out!"
"Everyone calm down! Mario, continue."
"So as I was saying, it all started..."
The light flashed. Everyone was blinded, (except for maybe Shadow). The only thing heard was a scream, or howl of some sort.
"Pikachu!" Ash cried, as he apparently knew what his Pokemon sounded like. The light finally faded, and Pikachu was gone, just as predicted.
"Man, what is with this guy stealing best friends?" Sonic asked.
"Well, it's not right. And I'm going to make sure whoever it is is going to get a taste of his own medicine," Mario said. It was then Fox yelled, "GET DOWN!" and everyone took cover. It was another one of those black arrows.
"One of those arrows!" It must have came from...," Falco said.
"The Dark Cannon!" Zelda cried. Our heroes looked up where the shot had come from. There was another creature. He was floating in the air, as Wolf had been, but it appeared to be at will And of course he had a Dark Cannon.
"Who's that Pokemon?" Fox asked.
"I am Mewtwo, the strongest Pokemon in the world!" the Pokemon said.
"I've seen Mewtwo before, and he's not joking!" Ash warned.
"Well, looks like it's time to prove him wrong!" Falco said. He rushed towards Mewtwo.
"Falco, wait!" Fox shouted, but it was too late. Falco jumped up, then attempted to attack Mewtwo. At least, he attempted to. Just as Falco went in for an attack, Mewtwo just disappeared!
"Wha-!" Falco, who was dumbfounded.
"Falco, behind you!" Fox shouted. Mewtwo appeared behind of Falco. He used a move, that flipped Falco, then hit him with a dark ball. It was powerful. Falco was sent spiraling to the ground.
"What was that?" Mario asked Ash.
"That was a Shadow Ball, one of Mewtwo's strongest attacks!" Ash said. It was almost immediately that Mewtwo pulled out the Dark Cannon, and fired at a recovering Falco. Falco was unable to get out of the way, and within an instance, was turned into a statue. Mewtwo, to everyone's surprise, pulled out a Pokeball, then threw it at Falco. It bumped into Falco, then sucked it in the ball. The ball came back to Mewtwo. Falco was caught!
"That adds two to my collection," Mewtwo cackled.
"Wait, two?" Fox asked.
"That must mean..."
"YOU kidnapped Pikachu!" Ash cried out,"Please, Mewtwo, let me have him back!"
"I don't think so, boy," Mewtwo said.
"Well, I won't have someone else's best friend caught, much less mine! I'll take him on!" Sonic declared. He dashed towards Mewtwo.
"Um, Sonic, I don't think that's a good idea!" Luigi yelled. Sonic didn't listen. He jumped up in the air, do his signature homing attack towards Mewtwo. Same result. Shadow Ball. Dark Cannon. Caught.
"Anyone else?" asked Mewtwo, letting his three Pokeballs float around him.
"I've had enough of this," Mario said, pulling out a cape feather.
"Wait, WHAT? Bro, you can't be serious! Don't do this!" Luigi begged.
"Sorry, Luigi, Mario has to do what Mario has to do. Let's-a-GO!" Mario shouted, charging towards Mewtwo. Mario surprised Mewtwo with his quick speed and strong attacks.
"Come on Mario!" Luigi cheered nervously.
"He's actually doing it!" Zelda said. Then a downfall came. Mario went for a spinning jump on top of Mewtwo. But Mewtwo had a set a trap. He disappeared, then appeared behind of Mario. He then fired his Dark Cannon. Mario didn't see the shot until it was too late. Within an instant, Mario was turned into a statue.
"MARIO!" Luigi cried as Mario was caught in the Pokeball.
"Anyone else?" Mewtwo asked. No one was willing to fight.
"Well, I guess I have to take you all my prisoners," Mewtwo said. He pulled got the Dark Cannon ready to fire. However, just before he could fire it, a blue ball, similar to a Shadow Ball, hit the Dark Cannon out of Mewtwo's hands! Seeing the opportunity, Fox pulled out his blaster, firing at the Cannon. Shadow jumped up, then did a homing attack, splitting the Dark Cannon in half. The Dark Cannon was destroyed!
"Wait, what? Was that a Shadow ball?" Luigi asked Ash.
"It wasn't a Shadow ball, I don't think. It looked more like an Aura sphere!" Ash said.
"What's an Aura sphere?" Fox asked. Mewtwo looked behind the group. Everyone turned around see another creature in a on top of a tree. It was clear that he'd shot this "Aura sphere" that Ash had talked about.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't my nemesis, Lucario. How nice of you to join the party!" Mewtwo sneered.
"Enough, Mewtwo! Release their friends! And tell me what's going on!" demanded Lucario.
"You'll find out soon enough, Lucario, my dear friend. In the meantime, fare well!" Mewtwo said. Then, the light came again. By the time it faded, Mewtwo was gone!
"Not again," Luigi groaned.
"I have a feeling I'm going to be blind by the time this is over," Fox said, rubbing his eyes.
"Well, it's a good thing Lucario showed up when he did!" Ash said.
"Oh yeah, him," Shadow said.
"It was the power of the aura. I sensed you were in danger," Lucario said.
"Excuse me, but what is this aura you keep talking about?" Zelda asked.
"Well, there's really no way to explain what it is...," Lucario explained,"However, if I am damaged in any battle, the power of the aura makes me stronger."
"I wish I had that," Luigi said quietly to himself. It was then that Shadow felt something. It was the power of Chaos, and it was sending him something. An attacker of some sort.
"Zelda, look out!" cried Shadow, jumping up and, with the help of his rocket propelled shoes, kicked away the weapon of the attacker, which happened to be a giant sword. He looked at the attacker. He was wearing a green hat and shirt, as well as white pants. Another thing Shadow noticed was that he had golden eyes, as well as being surrounded by purple waves of what looked like negative energy.
"Wait, is that...," Luigi started
"Link!" Zelda cried.
"Is he OK, he doesn't look that great!" Fox commented.
"Something tells me that's not your friend," Shadow replied.
"B-But it has to be Link! It looks just like him!" Zelda protested.
"I think Shadow has a point. He's surrounded by what looks like negative energy," Fox pointed out.
"<Sigh>, you may be right," Zelda said sadly.
"No time!" cried Shadow, stopping Link from striking again.
"I've let you attack long enough. Now it's my turn. Chaos SPEAR!" Shadow cried, leaping in the air. Then, with the wave of his hand, sent little yellow arrows of energy at Link. They caused mini explosions, but as the dust cleared, Link was there, obviously blocking most of them with his shield.
"Let me try! Go, Greninja!" Ash shouted, pulling out a Pokeball, then throwing it. Out came a dark blue colored creature, with a pink scarf like thing around his neck.
"OK, Greninja, USE WATER SHURIKEN!" Ash ordered. Greninja then put his hands close together. As Luigi saw, something blue was forming in the space between his hands! It finally got large enough, and Greninja released it. The Water Shuriken went towards Link. It was blocked again.
"Zelda, tell us about Link, when he's in battle!" Luigi said desperately.
"He can shoot arrows better than anyone. He can block just about any projectile attack with his shield, as long as he isn't attacking," Zelda said.
"That's it! Guys I have a plan!" Luigi said.
"Well, let's get it going! He's not going to wait for us to attack!" shouted Shadow.
"Fox, you fire your blaster at him!"
"You sure? My blaster doesn't do that much."
"Besides, Link will just block them!"
"That's the plan. I'll leap on the attack, then when I give the que, Shadow, use your Chaos Spear, Lucario, use Aura sphere, and Ash, have Greninja use Water Shuriken. He won't be able to dodge them if he's attacking me."
"Well, time's short, let's get this plan rolling!" Fox shouted, as Link immediately jumped up, attacking the group. Everyone was able to get out of dodge. Fox pulled out his blaster and began to fire. Link put up his shield, blocking the shots. This was Luigi's cue. He ran towards Link, leaped in the air, then sent a midair chop attack right at Link's shield. Link realized what was happening, and began to fight back. Luigi's plan now was simple; dodge, and stick an attack if he could. He knew that if he didn't attempt to dodge, he could easily be made mincemeat. Little did Link know that Fox kept shooting the blaster. Meanwhile, Shadow prepared his Chaos Spear, Lucario charged up an Aura sphere, and Greninja got a water shuriken slowly charging. All the while, Luigi stayed frosty. He made sure he had plenty of time to get out of the way of Link's attacks. Finally, Luigi faked getting hit, falling to the ground. Zelda gasped, but a reassuring thumbs up from Luigi calmed her down. Finally, as Link dove for a finishing blow, Luigi rolled out of the way, then snapped his fingers.
"NOW!"
Within an instant, the Aura sphere, water shuriken and the Chaos Spears came flying at Link. Unable to pull out his shield, he was hit by everything. Link was sent flying, finally crash sliding onto the ground.
"Alright, everybody, let's all merge one final blow! He won't be able to take it!" Luigi ordered, as he pulled out a fire flower. Fox charged up his blaster. Greninja prepared another water shuriken, as Lucario prepared another Aura sphere. Shadow prepared for another move in his arsenal, the Chaos Blast. Luigi began to charge up a fireball. Zelda, who'd stood back, stepped forward.
"Alright, NOW!" Luigi shouted as Link got to his feet. A charged blaster shot, an Aura sphere, a water shuriken, a fireball, a large blast shot, as well as a red circle formed fireball type object, shot by Zelda, all came, then hit the recovering Link. By the time the dust cleared, Lucario and Greninja were out of energy. Fox had fallen to his rear end from the impact. Ash was knocked back into a sitting position as well, and Zelda was sitting down, looking at the carnage. Luigi, who'd used a lot of power for the fireball, lost his Fire ability. Only Shadow remained standing.
"It's OK, Greninja, you did great! Take some rest, you deserve it!" Ash said, returning Greninja to his Pokeball.
"Hey, everybody, look!" Luigi said. Link was back in his statue form. Everyone went up to him.
"What do you think we do with him?" asked Fox.
"I don't know. If someone gets turned into a statue, there must be a way to turn him back," said Luigi.
"Maybe we can bring him with us," Ash suggested.
"Eh, that seems too... risky??? What in the world?" Luigi cried, in shock like the other. The Link statue had turned into a lot of purple dot objects. The form of purple dots rose off the ground and flew away.
"What? But... Link...," Zelda started.
"That only proves that he was an imposter," Shadow said.
"Hey, I found our portal! It's looking' small, so we better hurry!" Fox said. The flight situation was figured out quickly. Ash rode with Fox, while Zelda rode with Luigi, and Shadow and Lucario drove their own. Shadow used another technique, known as Chaos Control, to warp the Tornado 2 back to his and Sonic's world. They all flew safely into the portal just as it was closing.
Meanwhile, back in the world of nothingness, Master Hand was pleased to see the large amount of Pokeballs that were put in his large basket. However, he was shocked when he saw Mewtwo put only one in the basket.
"What is this, Mewtwo? Only one? You're the strongest one here, and you only bring me one?" Master Hand demanded.
"Oh, I have three more, Master Hand, but believe me, they're much more valuable than a Pokemon," Mewtwo said.
"You mean... you caught three other people other than Pokemon?" asked Master Hand.
"Of course, Master Hand," said Mewtwo, throwing them one at a time. The Mario, Sonic, and Falco statues popped out of each of them.
"Oh, this is perfect. We will have these trophies taken to my 'trophy room'," Master Hand cackled.
"As you wish," Mewtwo said, taking the statues away. Meanwhile, Master Hand had a dilemma. In the end, he would destroy all these worlds with his brother Crazy Hand once he was released. However, despite telling all these baddies of how when the carnage was done, they would rule the world, and have their own domain! The only problem was, that in all reality, he would have to destroy them too. But then there was Ganondorf, who was in all reality his right hand man. He was loyal to Master Hand, always acknowledging him with "My Lord" and always bowed when he spoke to Master Hand, or when Master Hand gave him an order.
"Oh well, this is just business. I'm afraid poor Ganon will have to understand that," Master Hand sighed. He quickly put that in the back of his mind. His newest bunch of baddies were bringing in a lot of golden bananas, as well as normal ones.
