As the light cleared, Mario opened his eyes. Everything seemed pretty normal.
"W-What happened?" yelled Mario, dumbfounded.
"I don't know, but I feel like it's happening!" cried Luigi.
"Wait! The princess! We have to see if she's OK!"
"OK, we need to hurry!"
Mario and Luigi dashed in the castle as fast as they could. They finally reached the throne room, where the princess was nowhere in sight, just Toads running around, screaming.
"Hey! What happened here?" yelled Mario, getting some of the Toads' attention.
"T-That bright light! We heard her scream and then she was gone?"
"Who?" asked Luigi.
"The Princess!" said the Toad turning around, joining the party of screaming Toads.
"Well, THAT was useful," said Mario.
"Here we go again..." Luigi sighed. He shivered. "Brrrr. It's a bit colder in here than usual. Did the Princess install new fans or something?"
"I don't think so. Hey, wait a minute!" said Mario. He dashed towards the throne.
"Wait, Mario! What is it?" Luigi replied, following him. Mario pointed up from the throne. Luigi's mouth gaped open. There was giant hole in the ceiling! Not only that but there was a purple hole, or what sort of looked like a purple portal.
"What is that?" asked Luigi.
"Not sure, but I'm sticking around to find out. Let's go," said Mario, pulling out a cape feather.
Wait! Mario, what are you doing?" questioned Luigi, as Mario turned into Cape Mario.
"Let's-a-GO!" snapped Mario, grabbing the back of Luigi's overalls, he flew up through the ceiling, and through the portal.
