Chapter 18: The Dark Bomb

As our heroes climbed out of the ship, they noticed a castle. There also was a catapult. Along with tons of arrows on the ground.
"Hm, the archers here were clearly bad shots," Shadow stated.
"This place looks like a ghost town," Ash said.
"Well. Let's keep moving," Mario said. Our heroes moved along. It was then that they noticed a giant circle in the sky. This, again, was of Master Hand's creation. It was a bomb that would release something like a black hole. It would start swallowing everything in sight. As well as releasing more purple dots, creating more primids, which would destroy any survivors. Our heroes approached the black hole like an object left by the bomb. It was then that more of the purple dots surrounded our heroes. There was nearly triple the size before. And the primids were stronger. Some had super scope guns. Some had beam swords. Some were metal. Some were taller. However, they were still very easy to defeat. They were able to defeat most of them. Except a beam sword one. It jumped up, preparing to strike Zelda!
"Princess!" Luigi cried. However, just before the primid attacked, a stranger jumped up, and attacked the primid, defeating it.
"Link, you saved me... you're not Link," Zelda realized. The stranger was thin, with blue hair. He dressed up in somewhat noble clothing. He also had a cape. But the thing that stood out was the very sharp sword that he held.
"I do not know you, but I'm willing to save anything from these creatures," the stranger said quietly. He sheathed his sword.
"Thank you, kind sir. May we have your name?" Zelda asked.
"My name is Marth, prince of Altea. And yours?" Marth replied.
"Zelda, princess of Hyrule," Zelda answered.
"A young ruler yourself. I understand how you feel. Now, I am a disgraced prince. I failed at my job; protecting my own people," Marth's voice was very quiet, almost a whisper.
"What do you mean?" Zelda questioned.
"When that giant purple hole appeared, those monsters came and took my people captive. I was left basically helpless, as those monsters dragged my people away. I am a disgrace," Marth said, obviously disgusted.
"You can't help that, Marth. There are times that a dark force takes over my kingdom, and I couldn't save them. You are fine, don't worry," Zelda replied assuassuringly.
"Prince Marth, are you alright?"a voice called out. Four more swordsman came running to the area. One had a head of red hair, along with a sword similar to Marth's. Another was looked like Marth, but with longer hair, with a similar sword. Zelda realized that this was a woman. Another had whitish gray spiky hair, with a black jacket. He had a funny shaped sword, shaped like a lightning bolt. The last one had dark blue hair, nearly purple. He so carried a two edged sword, which he had on his shoulder, seeming to have no trouble holding it.
"Yes, I'm fine. Thank you Roy," Marth said to the red head.
"I aim to please, Prince Marth," Roy replied. During this whole time, Mario and the gang just stood, watching the whole encounter. They weren't sure what to do.
"Who is this maiden with you? The grayish haired one asked.
"This is Zelda, princess of Hyrule," Marth replied. Hearing the word "princess," Roy, as well as the other three swordsman, bowed.
"It's no big deal, really. You don't have to bow. I'm not your princess," Zelda insisted.
"These people with you, are they your people?" The woman swordsman asked.
"No, only one. It's a long story. I can't really explain," Zelda answered.
"Well, is there someone who can?" questioned Roy. Zelda had to think back. The answer was the two people dragged into this in the first place. Two noble plumbers trying to save all these worlds from all this destruction. She had an answer.
"Um, Yes, I do. Two in fact. Please, shall we go to your castle?"
"That sounds fine. You and your friends are welcome, even if they appear to be a handful. I would like to hear your two friends," Marth replied. Zelda beckoned Mario and the rest of the team to come. Eventually, when everyone was settled in the castle, Zelda met our heroes.
"Mario, Luigi. Can you come with me? Link, you might as well come too," Zelda said.
"Sure! If you need us. It's an honor," Mario replied. Zelda led the three into the throne room of the castle, where Marth and his other swordsman were standing.
"You are..."
"We're the Mario Bros. I'm Mario, and this is Luigi."
"And him?"
"It's okay. He's Link, a friend of mine.
"Alright, now that's out of the way, please, tell me your story."
"Well, grab your popcorn, cause we're gonna be here a while."
The Mario Bros. told the story of almost all the events, starting from the morning, where they'd been finishing up their yard work.
"Hm, that's quite the tale," Marth spoke once Mario and Luigi finished.
"Are you going to believe them? They're story is a bit strange," commented the dark blue haired one.
"It's fine, Ike. I believe them," Marth answered.
"Are you sure about this, your majesty?" said the gray haired one.
"After everything that has happened, I'm willing to believe anything, as long as we are rid of these monsters, Robin," Marty answered bleakly.
"Well, what do you think we should do, my prince?" Roy asked.
"Well, I'm not sure. I need some time to think," Marth replied.
"I don't mean to sound harsh or anything, your majesty..."
"Just call me Marth."
"Oh... okay. Anyway, not to sound rude, but we don't have time. Whatever, or whoever, is out there. He's destroying all the worlds out right now. It's only a matter of time. If we let you think about it, by then, it'll be too late. Our home, Link and Zelda's home. They'll all be devoured by this dark force, just like your home. In all honesty, you don't have time," Mario said boldly. Luigi looked shocked. Mario had never spoke with a passion like that before. It was quiet for what felt like a long time. Ike, Roy, and the other two swordsman looked at Marth, wondering what he would do. Zelda looked at Marth. Mario and Luigi looked at Marth. So, basically, EVERYONE looked at Marth. Luigi couldn't stop wondering what he would say. If he said no, that might hurt them. Link was a good swordsman, but these other ones seemed like they knew how to wield a blade too. Especially Ike. This whole time, He'd carried this giant two edged sword on his shoulder, not even bother to take it off his shoulder. Finally, Marth broke the silence.
"You're right. I'm going with you. But I want you four to stay," Marth said.
"Marth, I'm not going to stay. My friends, my family, were captured by those monsters. And you know me. I fight for my friends," Ike spoke boldly.
"Ike...," Marth started. It was quiet. Everyone stood there.
"Roy... I want you to stay and protect the castle. If any trouble occurs, find Corrin. She will help you. You have Robin and Lucina with you now. I want to make sure that whatever is out there... Is destroyed," Marth spoke again.
"Yes sir," Roy replied. Marth turned to Mario.
"Gather your friends. We leave right now," ordered Marth. Our heroes boarded Falcon's ship. And were headed the black hole, as a portal.
