Chapter 17: Failure Again

When Falcon's ship landed, and everyone got out, Mario and Luigi noticed a familiar place.
"Wait, are we...," Luigi started.
"Yoshi's Island!" Mario shouted.
"Wait, you two know this place?" Fox asked, shocked.
"No time. Let's-a-go!" Mario said frantically, taking off.
"Mario, wait up!" Luigi called out, following. Falcon, who was at the front, turned around.
"Come on!" Falcon said. Everyone bolted to find Mario and Luigi. When they finally caught up, they found Mario staring longingly.
"Bro, it's too late...," Luigi said.
"I failed... again...," Mario muttered.
"Um, Mario, you didn't fail. We understand about the Halberd. And it's not your fault that it's gone," Luigi said.
"What's gone?" Sonic asked.
"Please... Let me alone," Mario muttered again.
"But, bro...," Luigi started.
"I said, LEAVE ME ALONE!" Mario shouted. Realizing he meant it, Luigi turned to the group.
"We need to let him have time to himself," Luigi said.
"We can't do that. Whoever, or whatever, is out there, is no doubt at work as we're talking. If we wait for Hot Head over there to cool down, all those worlds out there, they will fall. What, then will be left for us?" Shadow asked.
"That's... the nicest thing you've said this whole time," Sonic said, with widened eyes.
"I try to avoid that," Shadow replied dryly. It was silent for a few minutes. Finally, someone spoke up
"You're right," Luigi was surprised to see Mario step forward.
"I'm not going to let these past failures keep me down. Especially, my friends down. I'm going to make whoever it is out there, causing my friends and I so,much grief. They're going to PAY!" Mario shouted.
"Ow, the edge," Falco said, wincing, as if he was punched
"Get your ship ready. We leave right now," Mario ordered. As our heroes prepared to leave, another voice spoke up
"Yoshi!"
"Wait," Mario said. He turned around. Everyone turned around to see a green alien like creature. He and Mario began to talk.
"I'm guessing your friend over there doesn't speak proper English, does he?" Falco asked.
"He doesn't, but Mario has learned to translate the Yoshi language," Luigi explained.
"That's neat," Sonic said. After a little bit, Mario and Yoshi turned around.
"He wants to come," Mario explained.
"Well, at this rate, the more, the merrier," Fox shrugged.
"Ash, hop on Yoshi. He'll get you around, especially those places you can't reach," Mario said.
"Awesome!" returned Ash. Soon, our heroes found a portal. On the way there, Yoshi explained, while Mario translated, that Bowser Jr. was pestering the Yoshi clan again. This time, he and the seven koopalings were attempting to steal the Yoshi's Super Happy tree, a tree that whenever a Yoshi ate of it's fruits, became super happy. And Jr. was attempting to steal it. The Yoshis attempted to stop the wicked Koopas. This was when they threw these pocket monsters out of red and white balls. Which Ash identified as Pokemon. While the Yoshis were attempting to fight off these creatures, they were returned to their balls, as the Koopalings had taken the tree. The Yoshis, without the tree, started to fall into a state of sadness. As one of the heads of the Yoshi clan, he was determined to defeat the Koopalings, and get back the Super Happy Tree. And he eventually ran to Mario and his friends. Finally, Falcon's ship entered into a new world.
