Our heroes landed. After they all jumped out, they examined the scenery. It appeared to be outside some sort of racetrack. This was backed up by the fact giant car-like vehicles racing down sed race track.
"So, what now?" Ash asked.
"So, whoever is here wants something. It's our job to try and retrieve whatever these villains are looking for," Luigi said.
"And probably fail miserably on the process," Shadow replied.
"Man, way to go and drop a bomb on us, Shadow," Luigi rolled his eyes.
"Luigi, look out!" Fox shouted. He quickly jumped in front of Luigi, and using his reflector, reflected some sort of laser shot.
"Who shot that?" Luigi said.
"THAT THING!" Fox replied. Luigi looked where Fox had pointed, and to his horror, was a giant robot! The robot was called the Robotic Operating Buddy, or R.O.B. He'd been created as a prototype by Master Hand. If these heroes were trying to meddle with his plans, he'd have to crush them. Or fry them with R.O.B.'s lasers. This thing was HUGE. Of course, since it was a prototype, he'd have to make more, but these... They could be bigger. Better. STRONGER!
So anyway, R.O.B. stood before our heroes, striking fear into... well, just Ash and Luigi. Luigi, however, refused to let it show. He was taking a leadership role! He couldn't just cower and run with his tail between his legs!
"So far, I've seen big guns, big aircrafts, big bananas, and now, bug ROBOTS! What's next, one of those giant racing vehicles?" Luigi shouted.
"Yes," Shadow answered.
"That was a rhetorical question, Shadow. I don't need anymore sarcastic remarks," Luigi growled.
"Before you start growling at me, look behind me, you'll see that I'm not lying. One of those racing vehicles is coming!" Shadow said. And He was right. Sure enough, one of the racing machines was coming! It was a blue racing vehicle, with the number seven. Luigi was prepared to move out of the way of the vehicle. But, to his surprise, the door to the cockpit opened, and the driver jumped out of the vehicle! He was dressed in a purple jacket, along with purple pants. He had golden boots, and he had a red helmet with a bird on top. It had a dark visor, so his eyes, according to the mask, were just two upside down triangles. He went towards R.O.B.
"Falcon PUNCH!" yelled the driver. He launched a giant, fiery punch at R.O.B. The robot fell backwards, onto it's back, where it self-destructed, harming none of them. The driver came to a sliding stop.
"That was... AWESOME!" Ash said in astonishment. The driver turned around.
"That robot was about to fry you. It's a good thing I showed up," the driver said.
"I think we had it," Shadow said. Luigi slapped his forehead. He'd only known Shadow for a couple hours, and yet, he'd already figured out that this guy took a lot to be pleased.
"Anyway, nice to meet you. I'm Captain Falcon," the driver said, offering his hand. Luigi, not sure if this guy would break his hand, to the offer.
"Um, thanks. Sorry for my friend He's a bit...... arrogant," Luigi said.
"No problem. So what are you here for? The F-Zero Grand Prix just ended," Falcon asked.
"Grand Prix? You mean, racing?" Fox asked.
"YES!" Falcon said. Realizing he'd scared the group, he said,"Er... yes. Sorry. I do that sometimes."
"No problem. So, did you win?" Fox asked.
"I wasn't able to. Someone sabotaged my racer, the Blue Falcon. By the time she was fixed, the Grand Prix was almost over.
"Wow. That's sad," Luigi said.
"So who did win?"
"Oh, James Mccloud did," Falcon said. Fox felt like he'd been punched in the gut. James? Mccloud? Surely his father wasn't alive, right? He'd been betrayed five years ago by Pigma Dengar, who betrayed Star Fox. James and Peppy Hare, also on the mission, were caught by Andross, a crazy scientist, working on some giant weapon. James had created an illusion to save Peppy and sacrifice himself for Star Fox. Five years later, Fox himself had brought his father's team out of retirement, including Peppy. He'd also brought in Falco, and one of his other friends, Slippy Toad, a brilliant inventor. And now, they traveled through the Lylat system, defeating Andross, as well as his mercenary team of Star Wolf.
"Um, is your friend okay? Asked Falcon. Everyone turned to finally see Fox. He looked dazed.
"Um, Fox?" Luigi asked. Fox just stood there, being overcome by his thoughts.
"Earth to Fox Mccloud, leader of Star Fox, greatest team in the Lylat System!" Shadow said, snapping his fingers.
"I don't think Earth is part of the Lylat system."
"You get my point."
That was when Luigi caught something out of the corner of his eye. A large aircraft! However, this looked different than the ones before. it was slightly bigger than the ones seen in DK Island. In fact, Luigi, saw a familiar symbol on the aircraft.
"That's not ordinary aircraft," Luigi said to himself. Luigi looked closer. He finally figured it out. He'd figured out how he knew those aircrafts. They were Koopa Airships! Bowser was here! Or, Bowser's army.
"If there are any purple holes or anything, get in them. I gotta chase that airship!" Luigi said. He got a cape feather, turned into cape Luigi, then bolted after the airship. As Luigi got closer, he heard conversation. It wasn't Bowser. It was the 7 Koopalings! They were being led by Bowser's son, Bowser Jr.
"Those fools! We got that trophy so easily!" laughed Bowser Jr.
"Think of what we could buy if we sold it!" Roy laughed. The Koopalings began throwing in ideas.
"NO! We're not selling it. Dad needs it for his boss!" Junior said.
"Hey, I think something's following us!" Larry cried. Luigi realized that he might get caught. In fact, he was going to get caught. He needed to hide fast.
"Why hide, when you can shrink?" thought Luigi. He quickly got a mini mushroom. He gulped it down. With in an instant, he was small. So small, that Junior didn't see him.
"Get your nerves together guys!" Junior said. The airship finally flew into the portal. Little did they know, that Mini Cape Luigi was clinging on the ship.
