A normal day, that was all they both wanted. Athena was training to exhaustion, even though she didn't need Jungkook's energy to keep her flames burning, her body still had a limit and it was up to him to make sure his guardian was getting enough rest. Therefore, he had convinced Miss Panaria and coach Kosari that all the guardians needed a day off.

Athena and Jungkook had stayed in bed until noon, he had made sure to pamper his girl, breakfast in bed, they cuddled, had sex, a normal day for a couple in love, right? They were happy, he was happy, and she seemed to enjoy his attention, especially what his body was giving her. They were calm, resting, laughing, Jungkook told her how he met Taehyung, funny stories from his childhood, he promised her to take her to the movies in the evening, a perfect day.Jungkook had to assume that nothing was ever perfect and that something, or rather someone, would step in and ruin everything. And of course, that's exactly what happened.

"Athena!" have you ever watched someone rip your heart out of your chest and squeeze it so hard in front of your eyes that your soul screams out loud? "No, Jungkook, don't!" I screamed, looking back. "Athena!" they need you, not me, come back! I wanted him to be able to read my mind, to understand that I love him, that I do everything just so that we can be together.

Today was the perfect day, he is divine, so kind, smart, always knows what I want even before I say it out loud. I know there is no perfect person but he is perfect for me, my knight, my Jungkook, my Mars and ever since I realized I'm in love with him, every beat of my heart, every breath, it's all because of him, everything is so easy and simple, when he is next to me.

I never would have guessed what would happen at the end of the day, when I woke up in his arms in the morning, realizing that today was just for the two of us. But here I am, watching my friends suffer, Alina was badly injured, shapeshifting is useless against the Sakrans, Tyra, Tenari and Kira are at the edge of their powers, Mykena was trying to protect their minds from the attacks of the cursed creatures, Miss Panaria was trying to heal their wounds.

Even the weapons that Tenari had been working on for weeks after the Sakrans first appeared were almost useless, but at least they managed to buy us time, buy me time. Zika was trying to get everyone behind Kira's shield, that's what I needed, they needed to be in one place so I could focus the fire I used to reinforce the shield to make it thicker so I could help Mykena to protects their minds.

Jungkook, why do you refuse to listen to me? I turned again to the three Sakrans that had appeared about an hour ago. Tenari had put together some sort of radar to detect a change in the energy fields around Seoul, so we had detected them, their portal to be exact, and managed to get to them before they have reached the city. But they weren't alone, some small creatures had arrived with them, small compared to the Sakrans, but they were much bigger than human height.

It was obvious they were trying to surround Jungkook and Athena was too far away to react. She turned to look at the three Sankranis advancing towards her. If they continued like this, she would be pinned down too far to support Kira's shield and help the others. And the monsters knew it, that's why they tried to push her away from them, away from Jungkook. Her power may have been great, but there was a zone limitation, great, but a limitation.

So Athena did the only thing she could think of. "Mykena, get Zika to transport you all to campus!" Mykena turned her head in her direction in astonishment, her eyes widening at the sight of her friend. Her body, literally her whole body was on fire, the flames were trembling under the pressure of the hot air and probably if they were any closer, they would all be dead. Kira was losing control of the shield that was helping her protect their minds, the smaller creatures were crowding around them, it was the only way out, letting her focus on the Sakrans instead of worrying about them as well. "I understand you!" she thought and relayed Athena's orders to Zika, who gaped at Athena in disbelief.

"Damn it!" Taehyung stood back to back with Namjoon and Hoseok, across from them Yoongi and Jin had taken up the same position, Jimin and Jungkook were fighting alone, their swords barely hurting the creatures, yet their attempts and keeping their guardians' energy was literally knocking them down, making their blows weaker and weaker. Athena clenched her teeth, she looked at the Sakrants again, and then the seven knights and Mr. Kosari, who were trying to protect the remaining guardians behind a living wall.

Jungkook and the others gasped and looked at Athena in surprise as their swords flared. "This is my girl!" he could almost see Athena smile before she turned her back on them and crouched down, placing her palms on the ground. "Back!" he yelled and everyone backed away in the direction of the guardians and Miss Panaria. Jungkook was trying to watch Athena when someone grabbed his shoulder just as everything around Athena burst into flames and the fire engulfed her and the three Sakrans along with some of the smaller creatures and they disappeared from his sight. "You're coming with me" was all he managed to hear before his body went numb and he closed his eyes from the searing pain that shot through his temples - Zika!

"No, no, Athena!" Jungkook, Jimin, and Tenari found themselves in the middle of the field, dazed from the jump with Zika, but before Jungkook could protest, she disappeared again. "I have to get back there!" Jungkook tried to stay on his feet, but he wobbled heavily and fell on top of Tenari, who couldn't support his weight and they both fell to the ground. "You're not going anywhere" Jimin mumbled, trying to help Tenari up, but his body was in shock as well.

"Athena can't fight with her full strength if we're around" Tenari muttered, leaning on Jimin. "Zika will bring the others so Miss Panaria can help them, this is Athena's order" Jungkook turned his head sharply at Tyra's voice. "We could have helped her, our swords were burning..." Tyra cut him off. "That was Athena's fire, she can't fight multiple fields, Jungkook!" he lowered his eyebrows, his tattoo was pulsing insanely strong, he could feel her, even from this far away, but it wasn't enough for him.

Athena looked back, the only ones left behind Kira's shield were Kira herself, Yoongi, Namjoon and Mr. Kosari. One or two more jumps was all Zika had to endure before Athena could fully ignite her flames. She dropped to her knees and mentally formed the area where she would have to pin the smaller creatures. Once they had lost Jungkook, they had turned on her, forming a circle around the three Sakrans.

Who would have guessed that she, the quiet, closed Athena, who only a few months ago was afraid of her shadow, would now be fighting a life and death battle. And not only did she fight, but she was on the front lines, protecting her friends and family, the man she loved, as well as the world, which although not her own, in which she was born and raised. She looked back again, just as Namjoon and Mr. Kosari disappeared with Zika, Athena nodded to Kira and Yoongi and stood up, stepping forward, she spread her arms and closed her eyes.

The voices in her mind kept telling her that she didn't belong in this world, that there was no point in fighting her fate, that Mars didn't love her, that he was only with her because of her power, that she belonged with them, that is one of them. "I'm not Venus!" she screamed at them and her flames burst out, sweeping everything in their path and engulfing her and the Sakrans' bodies, their minions writhing in the flames as the three huge monsters just retreated, but the fire seemed to barely hurt them.

Athena couldn't care less what the voices were telling her. Not only she is not Venus, but Jungkook wasn't Mars, maybe in the past, in the beginning, they were only connected by their love for each other, but this between Jungkook and her was much more, escaped the chains, more than connection and love, they belonged to each other. The truth of their relationship was written among the stars and it would endure regardless of everything, it would be eternal and boundless, like time itself. 

"Athena!" she turned again. Zika stood at a distance, breathing heavily, looking at her imploringly. "I'll contact Mykena" Athena smiled and nodded to her, Zika hesitated to stay, just in case, but her energy wouldn't allow her another jump with a passenger if she didn't rest, so she trusted Athena and mentally wished her luck. "Let's do it" Athena thought, hearing the voice of her flames along with those who were convincing her that she couldn't succeed.
