I stood at an open window. 15 meters in front of me was a tall thin orangish-red lady. She had a thin mouth with giant teeth like sabers sticking out of it.

SuperSushix:I don't like this Castor
Castor:who's going to stop us?
SuperSushix:I've got a better question, who won't try and stop us?

I rolled my eyes and slid in through the window. I braced myself for battle but the creature didn't seem to care too much about me being there. She didn't even seem to notice me. I slid past her with ease and snuck down the stairs.
SuperSushix: we aren't even in the same group Castor!
Castor:I know. I'm in.

I snuck down the stairs and looked over the railing. Two of these creatures stood in the hall. Both were looking into a glass corridor holding a tall thin black creature with a pure white face and no features. I slid past easily watching as the creature watched me pass by. Its arms were like tentacles and it seemed sad and like it wanted to kill all these creatures. I made a note of him and continued on.

SuperSushix:I can't believe we're going through with this!
Castor:found a hostage. Not who we're looking for though.
SuperSushix:ok good, which floor?
Castor:4th
SuperSushix:ok we'll come back for him
Castor:it.
SuperSushix:right, sorry?

I found the next set of the staircase. I looked down it and instantly had to hide. Two of the creatures were climbing up the stairs and walked right past me talking in a different tongue that certainly isn't English.

Castor:you OK down there?
SuperSushix:yeah I'm good. What floor?
Castor: still on 4th just found the stairs though
SuperSushix: there a problem?
Castor:yeah, it's swarming down on the 3rd flood
SuperSushix:great

Sarcasm is real. I looked up to find two boys. One with blonde hair and a red T-shirt and the other with brown hair and a red arm brace. I waved and they smiled.
"Why aren't you in the Nursery with us?" One boy asked.
I looked down into the crowd of these creatures.
"Oh no! They don't allow us down there!" The other said.
I pouted and hunched.
"They allow us up but never down below the 4th level," boy 1 said.
"Yeah, they scold us if we go down there," boy 2 said.
"You can try if you wish though," a girl with blonde hair and a red bow said.
I slouched.
"Do you not talk?" Another girl with blonde hair and a red dress asked walking up to us.
I shook my head no.

Castor:idea! Find something red to wear and get in here!

"That's alright, you don't need to talk," girl 2 said.
"Do you have any more friends with you?" Girl 1 asked looking around.
I nodded.
"Where?" Boy 1 asked.
I looked over the railing down into the sea of red.
"Oh," they all said quietly.

Girl 1 led me to a small room.
"Stay here," she told me.
I took my index and pointer fingers on both my fingers, laid them down on their side, crossed then together in an X formation, and lightly tapped them against each other. I silently was hoping they knew sign language. I don't know much but I know a few words.

"Oh, I'm Melody," girl 1 said.
She pointed to girl 2 and said, "this is Angel."
She pointed to boy 2, "this is Bennet."
She then pointed at boy 1," and this is Ken."
"What's your name?" She asked.
I signed C, then A, then S, then T, then O, then R. I smiled.
"Oo! What's your friend's name? Is it unique?" She asked.
I nodded and signed S, then U, then S, then H, then I, then X.

"Woah! Sushyx?" She asked.
No not shynx. He's not a pokèmon!
I nodded with a smile. She bounced on her toes and then left the room with Angel and Ken, leaving me with Bennet.

"You can talk, can't you?" He asked slowing getting closer. I inched backward. I let fear fill my eyes and my facial expression. He backed off and sighed.
"You're so unique," he said.
"But why?" He asked.
I didn't answer. Even if I did have the answer, which I didn't, I "couldn't" say anything.
"I'm sorry, we barely know each other and I'm already obsessing over you," he laughed nervously.

SuperSushix:I'm in and I instantly got found out and scolded for being down here on the second floor. I'm being dragged to the fourth. What do I do?
Castor:let it happen unless he tries hurting you
SuperSushix:where are you?
Castor:fourth floor. A girl named Melody is coming to see if she can find you
SuperSushix:Kay

"What are you doing?" Bennet asked.
I looked up and gave him an annoyed look. He bit his lip and sunk down back into the corner.

Melody, Angel, Ken, and Sushix came into the small room. Instantly I got up and hugged him.

Castor:they think I can't talk
SuperSushix:sweet. Good to know. Can we link with the others?
Castor:heck no!

Sushix sighed and looked at Ken.
"Where are we?" Sushix asked.
Then I noticed finally that he was wearing a red vest instead of his normal blue one.
"That's not important," Ken said.
Sushix grabbed my arm glared at me.

SuperSushix:we're linked with the others now
Castor:Sushix! No!
xXSlyFoxXx:guys? Where are you? We've been searching for you for about half an hour. Jess is passed out from a sudden sickness, Jose is gone missing, Katz has a headache, most everyone wants to leave, and you two have gone missing and silent over the chat! Not even Jose has gone silent!
Remix10tails:yeah guys. Where are you?
SuperSushix: Stuck between some 7-16 year old kids and tall, thin, almost but not quite human like, reddish orange creatures.
Castor:Still can't speak here Sushix!
SuperSushix:yeah. I'm glad, or else we'd probably be yelling at each other in front of these 7-16 year old kids while we're trying to hide from these red monstrosities!
Castor:can we just let that no face tall guy out and get out of here please?
Remix10tails:wait, tall man? No face? Does it look like he's wearing a suit?
Castor:yeah!
Remix10tails:omg! What floor are you on?
Castor:fourth, do you know which one you're on?
Remix10tails:the third!
SuperSushix:that's probably why they don't want any of them down there!

We bust out the door and ran for the stairs.
"Window," I say quickly and off we went.
We dashed for a window and slipped out it with no one and nothing seeing us. We dropped down a level and slipped in quietly. We snuck through the crowd and stuck to the more quiet back alley type areas.

We finally entered the main hall. Honestly, it wasn't that full. Two giant windows just begging to be jumped out of was standing on one side of the room. 6 doors around. Lots of exits, little people watching it. I suppose since I didn't see where they took him no one thought he'd have people come get him.

Pulled out my bow and an arrow from my quiver, I slid around the side to the giant window and Sushix crept unnoticeably to the tube holding Jose. He fiddled with the controls at the base of the tube and finally after anxious waiting, the door to the tube opened. And an alarm went off. Great.

Jose jumped out of the tube and the windows were slowly being covered by steel. I kicked the window and it shattered to pieces. I aimed my arrow at a chain making the steel cover the window. I aimed and fired halting the chain and the steel cover.

"Hurry!" I said ushering them along.
Jose jumped out the window onto the roof of the floor below. Next Sushix jumped out and then just as I was about to do the same Melody called out. My arrow started breaking. I didn't have time for this. I turned around to see Melody she was completely angry.

"YOU SAID YOU COULDN'T TALK!" she screamed.
"I didn't say anything dear," I said, glancing at the now moving chain.
"YOU'RE NOT LEAVING US!" she screamed.
"Sorry," I said. I slipped out of the window just as it was almost closed and said, "but I already have."
She came barreling at me. I ran past Jose and Sushix screaming, "come on, hurry!"

I glanced back as a giant loud metallic clank was heard. A giant dent was left in the steel so either that steel isn't that strong or she definitely isn't a human. Ah, but then again, who is anymore?

And in an instant, we were with the rest of the group. We were heaving with tears falling down our faces.
"That. Was. Awesome," I huffed.
"Never staying in the Twilight without someone else ever again," Jose said.
"Never disobeying Sly again," Sushix mumbled.
"But yeah, that was awesome," he laughed.
"Enough of that excitement, let's go home," Sly said.

"Agreed," we all said in unison.

Can we try to have an optimistic outlook? Can we buck up just enough to see the world won't fall apart? Maybe this year we decide we're not giving up before we've tried! This year we make a new start!
