Lightning was on her way to the Starter Squad Headquarters. She was suddenly attacked by a  Chikorita tackling her to the ground. "Rita, what are you doing?" Lightning questioned. She saw that her eyes didn't look normal and were now completely red. Something has happened to her that made her this way but what could it be?

The Keyring around Lightning's neck woke up and carefully unwrapped herself from her neck.

The key ring used Flash Cannon. The Chikorita backed up from Lightning in surprise. Lightning used this as an opportunity to put Rita in Pokecuffs. " Thanks for your help Klefki."

"You're welcome, Lightning." Klefki replied happily.

"What has happened to Rita? She would never attack me like that. Something strange is going on here." Lightning told Klefki.

"Well what do we do?" Klefki asked.

"I don't know, unless Paarthurnax has anything to do about it." Lightning answered.

"Well, why not ask him?" Klefki questioned.

"Alright then, let's keep going."

They continued on until they reached the headquarters. Lightning calmly knocked on Paarthurnax's office door.

"Come in!" He called, rather agitated.

She opened the door and shut it behind her. "Sir, have you noticed that Rita's been acting strangely today?"

At this, Paarthurnax sighed. "Yes. A few of the Starter Squad members have been going hostile. If this continues, we might be introuble."

"Then what do we do?"

"Didn't you know these two Eevees with these hats."

Lightning gasped. "Mario and Luigi!! They might be able to help!!"

"Come on Klefki. We need to get their help."

Klefki quickly followed Lightning out of the office and outside of the headquarters, dragging the restrained Chikorita with her.

"Are you able to open the portal?" Lightning asked, still keeping a tight grip on Rita.

"Yes. I can." She answered.

"Well hurry and bring them here then." Lightning replied.

"Alright, Alright." Klefki used The Mario hat key to open the portal to the Mushroom Kingdom.
