The weak Froakie, Litten and Treecko were almost fully recovered with the berries they consumed. The Froakie's Eyes fluttered open and he looked up to see Lightning and the brothers. The Litten and Treecko soon did the same.

"Are you alright?" Luigi asked the Starters.

"I think so..." they answered.

"Who are you anyways?" The Treecko asked.

"I'm Luigi and the Eevee in the red cap is my big brother Mario." He introduced. "And the Pikachu with the pink bow is..."

"Lightning. We already know her. She's part of the Starter Squad like we are." The Treecko interrupted. "I'm Churro."

"My name is Max" The Litten said.

"I'm Jake." The Froakie introduced.

"Wait... Max, Jake and Churro?! I almost didn't recognize you three." Lightning replied.

"What a shame." Max added.

"Well I mean we do look like any other Pokémon. We don't really stand out as much as you and these Eevees." Jake responded.

"Well I'm taller than an average Treecko and the slash mark on my body from fighting a Charizard should have gave a hint."

"You fought a Charizard as a grass type? Well you look like a grass type..." Luigi muttered.

"Yup and of course I'm a grass type." Churro told him.

"Oh wow!!! That must have been tough."

Churro just shrugged.

"So... Could you explain to us what happened and why you were injured?" Lightning asked.

Churro, Max and Jake were silent for a moment until Jake spoke up. "It was Paarthurnax. Back at the headquarters, he started acting rather strange. He wasn't acting like himself. He went on this whole temper tantrum and started slashing his tail and claws at many starters and attempting to roast them with his strong fire attacks like they're berries."

"We noticed it too. We need to figure out who is behind this. Would you three like to help us? We need all the help we can get." Lightning asked.

"Sure. We are the Starter Squad. No job is too big, no Starter is too small." Max replied with determination.

"Well then, let's get down to it!" Lightning announced.
