Mario growled in anger. While Mario was distracted with Gabe, Lightning ran towards him with Iron Tail followed by Electro Ball.

Mario shook it off. "You'll pay for that!"

Mario used Shadow Ball But Lightning dodges it and used Thunderbolt.

Gabe put down the force field. "I should help too... Luigi is my friend. I have to protect him too... If I can learn protect, I can use other moves."

Gabe  raised his hands above his head and brings them forward to release multiple glowing light green leaves from his hands at Mario.

Mario was hit by the attack as a Critical Hit.

"Magical Leaf!" Lightning gasped.

Mario didn't look happy at all from the attack until he suddenly smirked. Lightning knew that Mario had a plan. He was about to take out his Fire Stone.

"Uh oh..." Lightning mumbled.

She used Thunderbolt to hopefully stop him from getting his Fire Stone out. When he was shocked he collapsed to the ground and his Fire Stone fell out of his pocket and so did his water stone. Lightning knew that the Fire Stone And Water Stone wouldn't have any effect on her so she picked them up and took them away from Mario.

"Give them back!!" He ordered.

"I don't think so Mario. This isn't the real you. You need to snap out of it. Luigi wants his brother back. He needs him. We need him." Lightning replied.

"Never!! I don't need Luigi!!"

"Mario!! Open your heart!! We know you're still in there! You have to be strong and fight it!!"

"No!!! Never... I don't need you! I don't need any of you!!" Mario shouted.

"You're not my brother!!! My brother would never treat me like this!!! My real brother would always be there for me, no matter what!!!" Luigi shouted. He rushed towards his brother and slammed into him with Headbutt.

Mario slid across the floor and collapsed. He didn't say anything at first. He slowly got back up. He closed his eyes tightly and shook his head. His ears fell flat and he looked down to the ground. "...Luigi... I'm... So... Sorry... I didn't mean to... What have I done to you... I-I swear I didn't mean to... It was K-King B-" Mario then collapsed again.

"Mario!!" Luigi rushed to his side and kneeled down to him. "Mario? Is that you?"

Mario didn't reply.

"Mario???" Luigi questioned.

"...Luigi..." Mario looked up with tears in his eyes. "Luigi... Please forgive me... I didn't mean to... I love you bro... I-I don't want to lose you again... When you were turned to stone... I-I felt like half of my heart was turned to stone too. I missed you... I thought I lost my little brother..."

"Mario... It really is you..." Luigi pulled him into a hug. "Don't worry bro, I knew it wasn't your fault..."

"Luigi-" Mario was suddenly interrupted by a familiar chuckle. King Boo appeared behind Luigi and used Psychic to pull him away from Mario.

"Mario!!!!!" He cried.

"Luigi!!!! Let him go, Boo!!! Don't hurt him!!!" Mario growled.

King Boo threw Luigi to the ground. He groaned as he slowly got back up. "It was you!!! You controlled my brother to make him attack me!!! I can't believe you would do this!! To try and tear us apart!!! Not only that but you're using the Starter Squad against us again just like before!! You'll pay for this, Boo!!!" Luigi gave King Boo a death stare.

King Boo cackled. "Your death stare has no effect on me!!"

"But this will!!!" Luigi took out his Thunderstone and evolved into Jolteon.

"So that's the source of your power..." King Boo grinned. "If only I can get my ghostly hands on those stones... Then I'll be unstoppable..."

Luigi used Thunder. King Boo was zapped by a sudden stream of electricity. He used Focus Blast. Luigi dodger it and used Thunderbolt. King Boo countered it with Focus Blast and used Sucker Punch. Luigi was hit by the attack. Lightning used Electro Ball while Mario and Luigi used Shadow Ball. Gabe used Magical Leaf.

King Boo growled. "This battle doesn't seem very fair don't you think??? I'll be back to settle the score. See you little gullible fools later!!" With that, King Boo's jeweled crown on his head glowed a menacing purple as he disappeared in front of their eyes.

"He's gone...." Lightning sighed.

"Atleast Mario's okay..." Luigi sighed in relief.

"You're right, Luigi... It's great to have you back Mario..." Lightning said. "Oh... here's your stones back... Sorry about that..."

"No, no!!! There's no need to apologize. I should be the one apologizing..." he replied taking the stones back, evolving into Flareon in the process.

"You don't have to either... It wasn't your fault Mario. It was King Boo. It wasn't you." Lightning replied.

"I know... I just feel terrible. I never want to hurt Luigi or any of my friends ever again."

Luigi gave Mario a smile. Mario gave Luigi a small smile back. "We should go guys. We need to find King Boo again before he causes anymore chaos." Lightning replied.

"She's right. We need to find him and stop him from ruling the Pokémon World."
