Mario woke up in bowser's castle

Mario: huh? How did I get here?

He saw Luigi and ran up to him

Mario: Lou! I'm so glad your ok! What did I miss? Where is everyone?

Luigi: gone...

Mario: ...What?

Luigi: I thought we won... this is all your fault bowser returned and you just stood there and let him destroy the mushroom kingdom and Brooklyn

Mario: listen I may not remember what happened but I would never do that!

Luigi: what was it you said? That everything's going to be alright as long as we're together?

Mario: I mean that! I would never lie!

Luigi: I'm sorry Mario but I have to stop you!

Mario: Luigi please I can't-

Luigi tried to attack Mario but he ran away

Mario: this is a nightmare!

Meanwhile in reality In what was left of bowser's ship kamek was using his magic to keep Mario sleeping

Kamek: Hahahaha! Soon this nightmare will be permanent!

Suddenly Pauline peach Luigi and toad burst in ready to fight

Luigi: *gasp* what have you done to my brother?!

Toad: that's my best friend your messing with!

Kamek: he deserves this nightmare after defeating my master! Soon Mario will be trapped in his own mind forever!

Pauline: we won't let you get away with this!

Peach: Pauline you keep Mario safe toad and I will handle kamek!

Peach and toad attacked kamek and Pauline ran up to Mario

Pauline: Mario wake up! Come on your never this lazy!

Toad: don't worry I got this

Toad smacked Mario across the face and started shaking him

Toad: wake up!! Stop sleeping like a baby!

Pauline: that's not helping!

Toad: you got a better idea?

Pauline: no but you don't want to hurt him!

They were both almost hit by a blast of kamek's magic

Toad: take cover!!

Toad Pauline Luigi and peach took cover and kamek used his magic to move Mario closer to him

Peach: Mario!!

Kamek: it's time for the real fun to begin

Back inside Mario's nightmare he ran into the dungeon and saw Pauline

Mario: Pauline there you are! Do you know what's going on? Luigi just tired to-

Pauline: you know mario I was so happy when I met you and then we started dating and things got even better but that didn't last long did it?

Mario: we both didn't feel any-

Pauline: you broke my heart and the only reason I stayed your friend was so you wouldn't feel guilty. Then I met donkey Kong and he makes me more happy then you ever did. So after all this I want you to pay for what you did!

Pauline attacked Mario but he ran away again

Mario ran in a room with a piano and saw toad

Toad: well if it isn't my old friend! Stupid Mario and your the the biggest jerk ever!

Mario: toad I-!

Toad: everyone helped you find your little brother and then you stab us in the back by helping bowser destroy my the place I swore to protect!!

Mario: I swear I would never help bowser! He's a monster!

Toad: tell that to the princess!!

Mario: no... not peach to...

Back in reality Toad and peach were able to get kamek's wand

Toad: how do we save Mario?!

Peach: Mario has to wake up on his own or someone has to go inside his nightmare and help him wake up

Luigi: send me inside his nightmare! Mario risked his life to save me and I'll do the same for him!

Peach: but you'll have a nightmare to!

Luigi: i don't care! I'll do anything for my brother!

kamek got back up

Kamek: GIVE ME MY WAND!!

Peach used Kamek's wand to send Luigi in the same nightmare as Mario making him fall asleep. Then Kamek attacked her and got his wand back

Kamek: I realize now that Mario isn't the only who deserves to be in a nightmare

He used his magic to keep everyone from moving

Back inside Mario's nightmare he ran into the throne room and saw Daisy

Mario: Daisy I don't understand what's going on! I forgot everything!

Daisy: I wish I could forget to. I didn't get to know you as well as peach and toad but you still seemed like a nice guy after all you are Luigi's brother but now I see your a monster just like bowser! Lying and tricking the people the people we thought you loved! Especially her!

Peach and everyone else walked in the room

Mario: peach...

Peach: I did everything in my power to protect my people to keep everyone happy then I met you mario. You were more then a friend to me and then you were more then happy to see me fail! Why?! Why did you do all this?

Luigi: I'm sorry Mario but for the sake of everyone you hurt and Mario and Luigi's plumbing we have to take you down!

Mario: no wait-!

Luigi was about to attack but stopped and everyone else froze

Luigi: mario? It worked!

Mario: Luigi? Is that really you?

Luigi: yeah it's me!

Mario and Luigi hugged each other

Mario: what's going on? Did I really help bowser?

Luigi: no of course not! this is all a nightmare! We have to stop kamek and we have to wake up!

Mario: kamek? Wake up? how?!

Luigi: remember when we were kids and I always had a bad dream? You turned on the light

Mario was now holding a small super star

Mario: what if all this becomes real eventually?

Luigi: we won't let that happen I promise. Everything is going to be ok as long we're all together

Mario nodded and the super star became really bright

Mario and Luigi both woke up from the nightmare and saw kamek used his magic to keep peach pauline and toad from moving

Pauline: mario! Luigi!

Peach: Your ok!

Toad: yeah! Thats my best friend!

Kamek: WHAT?! Your fear should've made you to weak to fight back!!

Mario and Luigi attacked kamek and Mario took

Mario: I was scared but I didn't let that stop me from giving up!

He broke kamek's wand in half

Kamek: NO!

peach Pauline and toad were set free

Kamek: you may have won this time but I'll be back! You haven't seen the last of-!

Peach punched him across the face

Toad: Ha!

Pauline picked up the book about nightmares kamek had

Pauline: this must be what kamek used to create the spell

Peach: we should hold onto it for safety-

Toad grabbed the book and threw it into lava

Toad: there problem solved!

Peach: I guess that works to

Pauline: you ready to go mario?

Mario: yeah... yeah

Everyone headed back to the mushroom kingdom

lifted at last I see all

is warm real bright a

shifted everything at
once it does all look
different now that I

peach saw mario on the balcony and walked up to him

Peach: are you alright mario?

Mario: yeah it's just... it all felt so real

Peach: I understand I'll get you a blanket in case you get cold

She went back inside to get a blanket and mario looked at the stars

Mario: all those days
chasing down a day
dream and all those
years living in a blur
In all the time I never
truly seeing the thing
this way it was now
she's here shining in
the starlight now she
is here now I know If
she's here now its all
crystal clear and I'm
where I'm meant to
go

Peach came back with two blankets

Peach: may I stay out here with you?

Mario: I would love that

They both looked at the stars together
