Star #1: Save the Toads

Mario and Luigi finally reached the second world: The Piranha Plants Garden. While they were walking around the place, they saw many Piranha Plants doing different things. Some were sleeping, others were trying to bite some Goombas. Also, there were some piranha plants, or in this case, Fire Plants that were burning some Koopa Troopas.

"Hey Luigi. Do you hear that?" Mario asked.

"What is it?" Luigi replied.

"I'm hearing some screams".

The screams were coming from the Toads, the ones that were captured inside the airship that stoled some of the Power Stars back at Peach's Castle, and they were inside a cage. Mario and Luigi saw them and ran to save them. But suddenly, a group of some guys came from nowhere and stopped Mario and Luigi from saving the Toads. Those guys are known as "Spear Guys", and they look like indians.

"Look Mario! Those are Spear Guys!" Luigi shouted.

One of the Spear Guys tried to attack Mario, but Mario got his hammer and hit it, sending it flying away. The other Spear Guys ran to attack both of them. Luigi was trying to get his hammer out, but he accidentally threw it far away, and it felt on a tree. Desperately, Luigi started to run, directly to his hammer, while some Spear Guys were following him behind.

Mario was surrounded, and since he though that all of them will jump on him at the same time, he decided to power-up himself with a Fire Flower. He then started to spin while unleashing fire from his hands, burning all the Spear Guys nearby. The fire power-up vanished,so he got his hammer to keep fighting the rest of the Spear Guys.

Luigi got to his hammer and tried to get it, but it was stuck in the tree. The Spear Guys were getting closer, but Luigi managed to take his hammer out and started to swing his hammer back to the Spear Guys, but since he was scared, he did it in a crazy way. He didn't noticed it until he stopped, but he managed to hit all the Spear Guys, so he started to celebrate.

Mario got rid of the Spear Guys closed to him, and the key of the cage appeared. He got the key and opened the cage to free the Toads. All of them started to celebrate. "Freedom!!!" The Toads shouted. Luigi arrived in time.

"Thank you Mario" one of the Toads said. "You don't know how much we been through inside that airship back at the castle and inside this cage".

"It was nothing Toad" Mario said. "But you have to tell me: Have you seen the princess?".

*The Toad remained silent*

"I think they didn't Mario" Luigi said.

"I'm sorry Mario, but I have something that may help you on your quest".

The Toad got a Power Star out of his pocket. Mario was surprised, but Luigi was thinking in another thing:

" Where does he have his pocket?" He said.

Mario hit his arm with his elbow. He then touched the Power Stars and sent it straight to Peach's Castle.

"Ya-hooo!!!" Mario yelled in celebration. "We got the first star of this world".

Suddenly, The Mario Bros. and the Toads heard a big roar. They looked straight where they heard it; a flying Piranha Plant was flying towards them, but he didn't noticed.

"Everybody, HIDE! The leader Toad said.

Mario and Luigi hid with the Toads under a big tree. The flying Piranha Plant didn't saw them and continued forward. Mario saw that him flying toward a tall windmill.

"What was that!?" Luigi yelled.

"That must be Petey Piranha" The leader Toad said. " It looks like she resides on this garden, along with all the other Piranhas".

"He got to that windmill" Mario said. "I wonder if all the other Power Stars are inside".

"Probably" The Toad replied. "Please be careful if you're going in there".

"Mario, you got to be joking" Luigi said.

"eeeehh... nope" Mario replied.

Luigi though about it, but he then got some courage and followed Mario straight to the Windmill.

Star #2: Big Piranha Plants

The way to the windmill was blocked by a big gate. Mario and Luigi were trying to figure out how to open it.

"Doesnt look like we can go any further Mario" Luigi said.

While Mario and Luigi were heading back to the Toads, three Piranha Plants came from the ground and stopped them; one of them tried to bite Luigi, but it failed. "Hey! Watch those teeths!" He said angrily.

"Get closer" One of the Piranhas said. "I'm going to eat you very slowly".

"I don't taste good" Luigi replied.

The ground started to shake, forcing the Piranha plants to retreat. Mario and Luigi tried to not fall, but Luigi felt on his face.

Something big was coming from the ground. It was a Big Piranha Plant.

"Mario! What the spaghetti is that!? Luigi said.

The Piranha tried to crush Mario, bud he did a jump and dodged it. He then rolled on the air and made a Ground-Pound on the Piranha's head. The Piranha got dizzy.

"Is my turn! Look at this Mario!" Luigi said.

He tried to Ground-Pound the Piranha's head too, but the Piranha moved to his right, and Luigi felt on a rock. He broke the rock and didn't got any injury, but he got mad for failing. Mario did a facepalm. Suddenly, the Piranha got back to his sense and saw Mario. Mario got scared and ran away. The Piranha got into the ground and started to persecute him.

While running, Mario was looking behind him to see how far or close was the Piranha. After been close enough, the Piranha got out of the ground and tried to crush Mario once again. However, Mario jumped again and did another Ground-Pound on his head. The Piranha got dizzy again, and Mario used that chance to do another Ground-Pound on his head. The Piranha got damage, but quickly got back to his sense.

" I'm coming Mario!" Luigi shouted from the distance while running to him.

The Piranha heard his scream and looked at him. Luigi yelled and ran back from where he came from; The Piranha got into the ground again and followed him behind.

Luigi jumped to Ground-Pound his head, but he jumped before the Piranha could get out of the ground. Luigi felt behind the Piranha and broke another rock. "Oh spaguetti sauce!" Luigi said angrily.

The confused Piranha was looking for Luigi. Suddenly, Mario appeared behind the Piranha, jumped and hit his head with the hammer. The Piranha got dizzy once again. Mario tried to Ground-Pound his head once again, but Luigi suddenly appeared with a big rock on his hands and break it on the Piranha's head. Not only the Piranha got damaged, but it remained dizzy.

"Take this and this and this!" Luigi shouted while hitting the Piranha multiple times with his hammer.

Mario saw that funny and joined Luigi. They both started to hit the Piranha's head, who couldn't find a way to escape from them. Finally, the Piranha dissapeared. A Power Star came from the Piranha after dissapearing. Mario tried to touch it, but Luigi moved more faster and touched the star, sending it back to the castle. "It was mine this time!" Luigi said with a "DEATH STARE".

Mario got scared of his "DEATH STARE". Moer, Mario noticed something shinning on the ground. It was some kind of wheel, and it had the same colors of the gate that was blocking the way to the windmill, where Petey Piranha is.

He got to the Windmill to place it on the center of the gate. The wheel started to spin, opening the gate on the act.

"Come on Luigi! Let's keep going". Mario said.

Star #3: The Sunflowers

On the way they saw a bunch of talking Sunflowers. They were healthy, but they looked very worried whatsoever. Mario and Luigi walked toward them to see what's wrong.

"Greetings" Mario said.

" Huh? Oh you came in a great timing" a big sunflower said.

" How rude of her. she didn't greet Mario back" Luigi said on his mind.

"What's the problem?" Mario asked.

"Well you see, we sunflowers are afraid to end withered because of those Piranha Plants over there, behind you".

Mario and Luigi looked back and saw six piranha plants along with a bigger one (not as big as the last one of course).

"They are just losing time around there" Luigi replied. "I don't think that you should worry about it".

"Of course I should! They are close to our roots. If they plan to eat them, we are going to end whitered. Please I beg you: help us by getting rid of them. I will give you a reward if you do it. Deal?"

"Sure. We'll help you out" Mario said.

They ran toward the Piranha Plants. The big one saw them and ordered the others to attack (while he hides underground). The others agreed and went to fight them. One of them went under Mario to bite him from there, but Mario sense it, so he jumped and Ground-Pound the Piranha when it got out of the ground. Luigi was surrounded by three Piranha Plants. He started to look at all places and didn't know what to do. Suddenly, all the Piranha Plants tried to attack Luigi at the same time, but Luigi (desperately) jumped, and all the Piranhas hit they're heads one with another and fainted. Luigi ended hanging on a tree.

"Phew. That was close" Luigi said.

There were two Piranhas left, but Mario could only see one. The other was somewhere underground, who got out behind Mario and trapped him with his vines. While trapped, the other Piranha was ready to attack him. Luigi saw that Mario was in danger, but he was afraid to fell from the tree. However, he got some courage and let go, although he accidentally hit himself in the back, but he didn't break any bone. He got his Fire Flower, shoot a breath of fire from his hands and burned the Piranha Plant that was going to attack Mario. The Piranha Plant holding Mario got scared and got away after letting Mario go.

"Thanks Luigi. That was very brave of your part" Mario said happily.

"... really? I mean yeah! Of course it was" Luigi replied.

The big Piranha Plant finally got out. However, he was in front of the big sunflower. It was willing to eat all of them. Moreover, the Sunflower got angry and smashed the Piranha with her head. The Piranha Plant got stomped, then he dissapeared. Mario and Luigi got back to the sunflowers.

"I think we got rid of all of them" Mario said.

"Oh thank you very much gentleman" The big sunflower said. "We really appreciate everything you've done for us. As promise, here's your reward".

The sunflower got a Power Star out of the ground and flew at Mario. He then touched it sent it back to Peach's Castle. Mario and Luigi continues their journey.

Star #4: Whomp Attack

As Mario and Luigi kept walking toward the windmill, they were ambushed by a very familiar enemies: The Whomps. Mario and Luigi looked around and saw six of them: three at Mario's side and the other three at Luigi's side.

"ATTACK AND CRUSH LORD BOWSER'S RIVALS! One of the Whomps said.

One tried to crush Mario, another tried with Luigi. However, both of them dodged and Ground-Pound their backs on the same time, destroying them on the act. Another tried to crush Mario, same for Luigi. They dodged it once again and destroyed them with another Ground-Pound.

"Hey Luigi. Don't you think that this is actually pretty fun?" Mario asked.

"Oh yes it is" Luigi agreed.

The last Whomp on Mario side and the one on Luigi's side tried to crush them simultaneously. Mario managed to dodged it, and once again Ground-Pounded it's back, destroying it on the act. However, Luigi got distracted and got crushed by the Whomp on his side.

"Aaaauuuch! Sorry mario" Luigi said while been under the Whomp.

Mario sighed and ran to Ground-Pound the Whomp and free Luigi; he successfully did it. Luigi was weak and decided to eat a 1-up Mushroom to recover health. A Power Star appeared after destroying the last Whomp. Mario touched it, sending it back to Peach's castle. The next step for Mario and Luigi was to finally climb the Windmill, where they'll be fighting Petey Piranha. But they had to pass a difficult trial first.

Star #5: The Twompstairs

The only way to get to the top of the windmill is through a path that was full of Whomps and Twomps, mostly of Twomps. Mario and Luigi weren't afraid to pass through, but they knew that they needed to be careful. The good news is that a Power Star was waiting for them at the end of the path.

Mario and Luigi proceeded with caution, although they were running to pass quickly. They passed under and over many Twomps, they jumped to far ledges, dodged and destroyed many Whomps, passed through fragile floors until they managed to get to the finally, where the Power Star was. Mario touched it, and the Power Star got back to Peach's castle.

Now, the entrance to the big windmill was towards them. While going forward to enter, they saw that the entrance was locked, and only a key could open it. Suddenly, five Spear Guys came from some bushes and stopped them. Each Spear Guy had a Silver Star, but only one was holding a Silver Star and the key to open the way to the windmill. They ran away into an abandoned farm, and the Mario Bros chase them.

Star #6: Searching for the Spear Guys

Mario and Luigi got separated in order to find all the Spear Guys with the Silver Stars. Mario got into a barn, where three of them were hiding. Mario saw a Koopa Troopa entering the barn. he decided to stomp it; once the Koopa got into his shell, Mario grabbed and threw it to the Spear Guys. The Shell hit all three of them, and the Silver Stars started jumping around. Mario grabbed them one by one and put them away. Suddenly, Mario saw the other two Spear Guys passing in front of the barn's entrance, and with Luigi tighted. Mario pursuit them; he was lead directly to the Windmill, where Petey Piranha is. The Spear Guys couldn't escape anywhere else. Rapidly, Mario ran and hit them with his hammer, freeing Luigi on the act. The remaining Silver Stars were free, and the key to the windmill fell to the floor. Luigi (after been untied by Mario) got the key, while Mario got the Silver Star; a Power Star appeared. Mario touched it and sent it back to Peach's Castle.

Luigi got to the Windmill's entrance and put the key on the door to open it. Mario and Luigi entered, ready to fight Petey Piranha.

Final Star: Petey Piranha Battle

Petey Piranha was in the middle of the windmill's arena, watching Mario and Luigi coming closer.

"Mario" Luigi said.

"What is it Luigi?" Mario replied.

"Do you have any idea on how to defeat this thing?" Luigi asked.

" ........." Mario remained silent.

Petey Piranha started to growl, making Mario and Luigi cover their ears. Suddenly, Petey Piranha ran straight to them, but it fell on the way. With his face looking up while on the ground, Mario saw his weak spot on his belly. Petey Piranha got up, hid his weak spot and looked at Mario. He then started to inhale amd threw a ball of goop to him. Mario quickly got out of the way and avoided the goop, which got the arena a little dirty. Mario was looking for a way to get his weak spot out once again. Luigi got behind the Petey Piranha.

*Petey looks at Luigi*

"Hello mr. Petey Piranha" Luigi said scaredly.

Petey Piranha started to roll his head around and hit Luigi, sending him flying to a wall. Luigi got dizzy for some seconds, but got back to his sense. Suddenly, Luigi got his "DEATH STARE".

Petey Piranha almost felt to the floor after rolling his head. After that, Mario noticed that Petey Piranha's foots were pretty weak. He knew that, with a simple knock, he could make it fell on the floor again, exposing his weak spot.

Luigi, with his hammer in his hands, ran angrily toward the Petey and hit one of his foots, making him fall on the act. The weak spot got revealed again, so Mario used the opportunity to jump and do a Ground-Pound on it. Petey got damaged, and it also vomit some Goombas that he ate a while ago. The Goombas were celebrating their freedom, but they quickly ran out of the windmill to escape.

Petey Piranha got up once again, but forgot to hide his weak spot. Suddenly, he started to move his feathers, making him fly. Mario and Luigi hold themselves from the Petey's foot: one on each one. Petey got out of the Windmill and flew to the place where the Toads were hanging around. They saw the Piranha flying and panicked.

Mario tried to reach Petey Piranha's belly to hit his weak spot with his hammer, but Luigi was way more closer than Mario. With his hammer in hands, along with his "DEATH STARE" he yelled "FOR THE MUSHROOM KINGDOM!" and hit Petey Piranha's weak spot. Petey Piranha lose all his life and felt to the ground. He then dissapeared, and the last Power Star of the Piranha Plant Garden appeared. After getting up, Mario reached the Star and touched it, and the Star got back to Peach's Castle. Luigi got out of his death stare state and got normal again.

The Toads started to celebrate now that Petey Piranha was defeated, and now they wanted to get back to their world. Mario and Luigi agreed and lead them to the portal, back to Bowser's Castle.

Mario and Luigi finally reached Bowser's Castle, along with the Toads. The Toads reunited with Toadsworth.

"Good job Master Mario and Master Luigi. You saved all the Toads that were kidnapped by Bowser back at Peach's Castle. But what about the Power Stars?" Toadsworth asked.

"They are safe and sound now" Mario replied.

"Excellent News. However, I think  there's still a long way to go before we recover all of them. Also, I'm wondering how Princess Peach's Castle is coming up now that you recovered those stars. I think that I'll sends some Toads to investigate. I also think that I have an idea to know how the Castle's state is progressing while you are on your adventures".

"Understood Toadsworth" Mario said.

Toadsworth showed the Mario bros. the next door that opened after recovering all the Stars from the Piranha Plant Garden, which had a portal too; they could find it by going down some stairs. Mario and Luigi entered to continue with their quest.

Meanwhile, Bowser was in his throne room talking alone.

"Oh yes" Bowser said. "This sure is one of the most wonderful and terrifying plans I've ever planned. There's no way that the Mushroom kingdom will stand against such powerful plan. I'll rule all the Mushroom Kingdom, and with Peach by my side. Not even Mario and Luigi can stop me this time. In fact, I'm sure that they'll be gone before even reaching my throne room. They wouldn't stand a chance in my castle, Bwahahahaha!"

Suddenly, an alarm started to make noise.

"Grouuugh! What now?!"

Bowser sit in his throne and pressed a button. It was an message from Piranha Plant Garden, and it was advertising that all the Power Stars in that area got recovered by Mario and Luigi.

*Bowser strongly growls*

"I can't believe they managed to defeat Petey Piranha and get the Stars".

*Bowser makes a call*

"I think that Mario and his stupid brother are going straight to you. I command you to let it free!"

*Bowser ends the call*

"Yes. I'm pretty sure that they won't stand a chance against this boss enemy" Bowser said happily.
