Mario and Luigi arrived at their destination; the portal dissapears after that. They watched the horizon and saw Bowser's Castle.

- "Mario look! There's Bowser's Castle in the distance!" Luigi said.

- " So that means that we're on the Mushroon Kingdom right now" Mario replied.

Moving forward, they entered into a stage that had Bowser's face drawed on it.

- "Gwaaaaaagh!" Bowser growled from above.

He felt in front of Mario and Luigi and hit both of them. Mario was sent out of the stage, but he felt on a safe land. Luigi felt, but he was still on the stage with Bowser.

- "Gwahahahaha! I knew that you two will eventually come!" Bowser said.

*Luigi stared at Bowser with a DEATH STARE*

- " I guess that you're asking yourself why I choose a place of the Mushroom Kingdom for our second battle. Well, I just wanted you to take a good look at my future kingdom, which i'm going to rule along with Peach, gwahahaha!"

- The princess, where is she!?" Luigi yelled.

- "Oh don't worry. She's safe on my throne room, waiting to witness all my excellency. You two had really made quite a mess around my castle. THAT REALLY MAKES ME MAD!!! DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I WORKED I TO TURN IT IN WHAT IT IS TODAY?!"

*Luigi remained silent*

- "Well, it doesn't matter. I shall repaired everything once I finish with both of you, and take all the Power Stars you've stolen from me".

- "They are not yours!" Luigi shouted while putting into a offensive position.

- " Gwahahahaha! You really think that you can stand a chance against me? You may be Mario's brother, but in the end, you're nothing more than his shadow".

*Luigi got heavily mad at Bowser*

- "Now, you two were lucky last time, but now I'm gonna make sure it doesn't happen again!" Bowser shouted.

Bowser took out a Metal Mushroom and ate it, gaining the Metal Power. Luigi got nervous and started to shake. However, while seeing from the distance, Mario knew that Luigi could still beat Bowser if he had the Metal Cap withing his body. Unfortunately, Mario wouldn't get into the stage in time, so he decided to throw it at Luigi.

- " Luigi, catch this!" Mario shouted.

He threw it at Luigi with all his strength; Luigi successfully caught it. He quickly break the Green Box and took the Metal Cap out of it, put it on and took the Metal Power. Mario decided to walk his way to the stage while Luigi fights Bowser.

Quickly, Luigi ran to Bowser and tried to kick him in the face, but Bowser blocked it with his left arm. Bowser threw Luigi; Luigi felt on the middle of the stage. For Luigi's next attack, he took his hammer (covered in metal) and tried to hit Bowser with it. While Luigi was attacking, Bowser used his arms to block all his attacks. While at it, Luigi left an opening, giving Bowser the opportunity to hit him. Luigi rolled and felt. Moreover, he got mad and quickly got up and ran to Bowser again. This time, he hit Bowser with his hammer at a higher speed. Still, all of his attacks were still blocked by Bowser when he hid on his shell.

- "What's wrong? It looks like you can't find a way to hit me. How pathetic that must be, gwahahaha!" Bowser said mockingly.

Luigi kept swinging his hammer at Bowser as hard and fast as he could.

- "Well, no point on staying on this rate" Bowser said.

Quickly, Bowser stopped Luigi and started hitting him multiple times. Luigi's hammer flew outside the stage and felt in front of Mario. The hammers metal skim dissapeared.

- " Oh no! Luigi's in trouble!" Mario said.

He got Luigi's hammer and quickly ran to the stage.

Bowser kept hitting Luigi; while at it, he threw Luigi up to the air. He then jumped and tried to headbutt him. However, Luigi reacted quickly and gave him a kick on his head. Bowser growled because of the pain inflicted by Luigi's kick. Moreover, Luigi kick him on both sides of the face, gave some punches on his belly and finally sent him to the stage with a kick on his head. Bowser crashed on the stage. Luigi tried to finish Bowser by stomping him. However, Bowser quickly got into his spiky shell and Luigi felt on it, making him fly and scream. Finally, Bowser ran to Luigi and finished him with multiple hits from his shell. Luigi felt on the stage and loses the Metal skin. Mario was still climbing up the stage.

- "Gwahahahahaha! I'm victorious baby!" Bowser shouted. "I told you: you're nothing more than a shadow to your brother. Don't expect him to come and save you. He's too far away right now. But enough about that. TIME TO FINISH THIS!"

Bowser start charging his fire breath, planning to use it as a final blow to Luigi. Mario reached the stage and noticed what Bowser was about to do.

- "Luigiii!!!!" Mario yelled.

Suddenly, a star has fallen from the sky and felt on Luigi. Finally, Bowser has let go his charged fire breath at Luigi. Once Bowser finished letting go all his fire breath, they couldn't see nothing more than smoke. Mario got shocked, thinking that he lost his brother.

- "Ugh... That charged fire breath was really the most strong one I've done so far" Bowser said. "Oh, hey there Mario. I see you've witness what I've done to your good for nothing brother. Did you liked the show? Gwahahahaha!"

Mario got really mad at Bowser and took both his hammer and Luigi's on both hands, willing to fight Bowser, even if he didn't have the Metal Power on him.

- " Gwah! Your effort is useless Mario. Your brother couldn't even beat me with the Metal Power. What makes you think you can beat me on your current condition?" Bowser said mockingly.

Mario didn't listen and got into combat position.

"Gwahaha! Very well then. I have no intentions of letting you walk around my new kingdom anyway. Prepare to join your brother!"

Suddenly, something strange was happening inside the smoke, catching Mario and Bowser's attention. An odd sparkle was shinning. Moreover, all the smoke dissapeared in a matter of seconds, revealing Luigi covered in a sparkling power.

- WHAT!? Bowser shouted.

- Luigi! You're still standing!" Mario said happily.

Luigi looked at his hands and the rest of his body. He was feeling a unusual power, much more differently than any of his other powers. He then stared at Bowser, confident of himself.

- "Gwhaa! You're still here!?" Bowser shouted. "You can't beat me! You've already lost!"

Bowser made a jump and tried to crush Luigi with his belly. Suddenly, Luigi jumped and punched Bowser's belly with his left arm, inflicting high damage at him. Bowser's metal power couldn't surpass Luigi's power. Mario was amazed by Luigi's new strength.

Quickly, Luigi start to kick and punch Bowser multiple times in midair. Bowser couldn't believe it. His metal skin started to break apart slowly. Finally, Luigi delivered a final blow by punching Bowser using both of his hands. Bowser felt on the stage, and his metal skin completely broke.

Luigi got back to the stage. Moreover, the sparkling power flowing through his body dissapeared. Bowser stood on his feet and said:

- "Noooo! My metal power is gone! That's it, now i'm gonna--

Mario has jumped in front of Bowser and hit him with one of the hammers, sending him to fly. But just like last time, Kamek appeared and opened a portal; Bowser felt on it and got back to his castle. Kamek closes the portal and dissapears.

- "Luigi! I'm glad that you're still standing!" Mario said.

- "I actually can't believe that I'm still standing" Luigi replied.

- " What was that power you used to defeat Bowser?" Mario asked.

- "...I really have no idea" Luigi replied.

He then gave Mario the Metal Cap back to him, and Mario gave Luigi his hammer.

And with that, the portal appears once again. Mario and Luigi entered and got back to Bowser's Castle. Once they got back, the portal dissapears, unblocking the way to the third floor of Bowser's Castle. All the Toads passed happily through the entrance, as well as Yoshi. Toadsworth walked toward Mario and Luigi and said:

- "Good job Master Mario and Master Luigi. Now let's us proceed to the next section of the castle".

The three of them entered and found themselves with three doors: There was one Big door towards them with Bowser's face on it, followed by two other small doors on both sides.

- "Master Mario, it looks like we're getting closer to the end of our quest. I'm pretty sure that the princess must be somewhere beyond that door... As well as Bowser" Toadsworth said.

- "Toadsworth, we've found ourselves with Bowser on the last portal. He revealed us that the princess is in his throne room, which may be on the other side of that big door" Mario said, giving hope to Toadsworth.

Suddenly, the small door on the left of the big door opened, revealing another portal.

- "Well, I guess that you'll have to deal with some things first before going after the Princess" Toadsworth said. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot Master Mario and Master Luigi! The reconstruction of Princess Peach's Castle is almost done, which means that there's only a few more Power Stars left for you to recover".

- "We understand Toadsworth, we'll recover all of them and save the princess" Mario said.

- We're counting on you" Toadsworth replied.

- "Waaapuuuuu! Yoshi growled happily.

Mario and Luigi moved onward to the next portal.

Meanwhile, at Bowser's throne room:

-Gwaaaaaaaaaahhhh!!!!" Bowser growled while spitting fire all over his throne room.

Kamek was jumping and crouching in order to avoid getting burned.

- "I had it with those plumbers! They may be more closer on entering my throne room, but they better not think that they'll enter that easily! KAMEK!"

-"Ye-Yes your excellency...?" Kamek said nervously.

-" I want you to prepare our last line of defense! Mario and Luigi must never reach my throne room, no matter the cost!"

- Understood your highness!" Kamek dissapeared from the throne room.

- " No matter what they do, I promise I'm going to rule all over this kingdom. And they will not take Peach from me thid time" Bowser said while looking at the crystal vessel holding Peach.
