"Alright now we just need to move this over here." Iceburg says.

"Got it." You and Kaku say together, moving the tool rack together.

"Heh, you're stronger than you look." Kaku gives you a smile.

"Actually this is really heavy, but I wanna help." You chuckle, partially out of breath. The rack slips slightly but Lucci swiftly grabs hold of it, helping you finish placing the rack. "Thanks."

"Heh, that's sweet, you really like the guy huh?" Kaku teases.

"Sh-Shut it," You blush and check your phone. "According to Franky, we got fifteen minutes before they get here." You alert.

"Good. All that's left is to put the tools up." Iceburg chuckles as you and the others swiftly move to finish up.

"Alright, get into position." You breathe before going out to stand on the sidewalk, looking up at the covered sign. Excitement pulsed through your veins right now, trying to imagine Kid's face.

"___!" Sunny cheers, making you look over as he and Kid appear around the corner. He runs up and hugs your leg cheerfully. "What are you doing here?" He asks with a big grin. You smile back, you had spent most of yesterday planning this out with him, and you were proud of his acting skills.

"Well, I was looking at this shop Kid liked, seems that someone bought it..." You look back at the covered sign again.

"Damn, lucky bastard." Kid sighs stepping beside you. "Wonder what they're gonna call it."

"Hmm. Lets see." You go over to one of the ropes as Sunny goes to the opposite one. You and your sibling share a smirk before uncovering the sign that had once been on Kid's old shop. Kid straightens, blinking in confusion.

"No way..." He murmurs in shock.

"Yes way, here are your keys Mr. Eustass. Be sure to thank the siblings, this was all because of them." Iceburg comes out, handing the keys to Kid before giving you a nod and heading off with his helpers. Kid watches him go briefly before looking at the keys then to you and Sunny, pointing at the keys as if to ask if they were really his.

"Go have a look, we literally just got done installing everything." You tilt your head toward the garage door. Kid goes over to it and opens the garage, walking in to the center of it, turning around slowly to look at everything.

"Do you like it Kid?" Sunny asks, going over to him. A huge grin comes to Kid's lips at that, picking him up and hugging him.

"I love it! Check this stuff out!" He gasps starting to show Sunny everything he could, explaining what they were for. "And this is an anti-gravity panel so we can turn cars on their side to work on them or make them float overhead." Kid puts him on a panel before turning it on. You giggle as Sunny starts to float with a gasp.

"This is so cool!!! ___! Can I be a mechanic and a Super Analyst when I grow up!?" Sunny gushes with a grin.

"You can be whatever you want Sunny." You smile then pause as Kid comes at you suddenly. "Wh-What?" You ask before he suddenly pulls you into himself, kissing you deeply. You pause in surprise before kissing him back, touching his cheek.

"Yes!" Sunny cheers quietly, holding up his arms victoriously. Kid pulls back to look into your eyes and smiling widely.

"Thank you, you beautiful, amazing, and kind person." He breathes, pink dusting his cheeks. You blink at him, blushing lightly before giggling sheepishly and looking away.

"Im glad you like it..." You murmur. He chuckles and kisses your cheek before picking you up and putting you over the panel, letting you go. You gasp from the sudden weightlessness, flailing slightly to their amusement.

"Heheh! Isn't this cool ___?" Sunny giggles happily.

"This is so weird..." You mutter, grabbing onto Sunny and looking around warily.

"Alright reach for me, I'll pull you back out." Kid chuckles holding his hand out to you. Taking it, he pulls you into himself, holding you close as he backs up from the panel. "Better?" He smirks down at you. You stick out your tongue and pull away from him as he sets you down. "So mature." He jokes lightly.

"Yeah yeah, come on Sunny, we still have those reservations with Kid." You grab your little brother, pulling him from the anti-gravity.

"Oh yeah! I hope their food is as good as Franky says!" Sunny grins.

"Huh?" Kid huffs in confusion.

"Oh yeah, we're not done with you yet Kid." You smirk at him.

"It's Kid appreciation day!" Sunny chimes.

"So come on, you're not done being spoiled." You hold out your hand to him. He searches your face for a moment before taking your hand, smiling as your fingers intertwine with his. "Lead the way Super Sunny!"

"Aye!" He squeaks out before leading the way, bouncing slightly as he goes ahead.

"Heh, he sure is happy today." Kid hums.

"Yeah, today's perfect so far." You smile softly watching your brother thoughtfully. Kid peers at you and smiles, giving your hand a gentle squeeze.

"It really is." He agrees, drawing your gaze. You return the smile before you both give another kiss. Kid's smile grows wider as he pulls back, letting go of your hand to pull you closer into his side.

The restaurant didn't feel suiting to you and thee other two, so you took them to play lazer tag. There weren't many people but you all still had a blast before eventually returning home. "Then the guy turned around and bam! I got him right in the heart! And he did- he did this! 'Bleh!'" Sunny falls back on his bed and sticks out his tongue, going cross-eyed.

"Hehe was that when we got separated?" You hum covering him up.

"Uh huh! Can we pull lazer tag again soon?" He asks with a yawn.

"Sure... How about on your birthday? We'll go do activities all day." You breathe resting your head in your hand. "Then we'll play with everyone we know."

"Yeah... Hey! My birthday is in ten days!" He suddenly gasps.

"Yep, my favorite day of the year." You giggle lightly.

"More favorite than Christmas?" His eyebrows raise.

"Mhm, because Christmas didn't give me the bestest brother in the world." You coo kissing his forehead. He giggles and smiles up at you.

"I love you ___!" He grins.

"I love you too Sunny." You smile ruffling his hair before turning off his light and going out. Kid smiles at you leaning on the wall.

"I'm starting to wish I had a sibling." He hums. You chuckle sheepishly before going to the kitchen.

"You kinda do now." You point out with a light blush. Kid joins you in the kitchen, rubbing his neck.

"Th-Then... How a..." You look at him as he starts to blush, and becomes flustered. "H-How about we... We skip school tomorrow and go on a... Date...?" He peers at you, being adorably shy. You start to giggle at him, blushing. "What?"

"You're so damn cute right now." You giggle cupping his face and looking into his eyes before pecking his lips. "A date sounds nice." You breathe.

"Yes." He whispers pulling you into hug, kissing your shoulder. You smile and hug him back, resting your head against his shoulder.

"Hey, do you think the principal would have a heart attack if he sees us kissing?" You snicker as soon the thought comes to your head. Kid chuckles, turning his head to you.

"I think that would work on all of our teachers... Wanna try?" He smirks lightly.

"Yeah lets do that, after tomorrow of course." You murmur.

"Of course... You'd make a great villain, just for agreeing to trying to give our teachers heart attacks." He rumbles. You hum and nod.

"Seems legit," You agree. "Come on Cuddles, lets go cuddle." Kid laughs and picks you up.

"Just you wait until I think of a nickname for you." He tells you, carrying you into your room.

"The Boss is up for grabs." You inform him.

"What about... I got nothing... Does that make me a bad boyfriend?" He tilts his head.

"I don't think so just means I'm too awesome for a nickname." You boast. Kid chuckles and tosses you onto the bed, making you squeak out.

"Ah ha! Squeaky it is!" He points at you victoriously.

"Oh hell no Im kicking your ass." You huff, grabbing his wrist and pulling him onto the bed. You both chuckle, wrestling briefly before he pins you down. You giggle lightly, smiling up at him. He smiles in return, looking into your eyes softly.

"You're so beautiful." He whispers cupping your cheek. "If I wake up tomorrow and find that today was a dream. Im gonna be really sad..."

"Really?" You blink in surprise. He nods and lays beside you, not looking away from you.

"I've always, ALWAYS wanted to be this close to you..." He confesses quietly.

"Then why did you always fight with me?" You ask.

"Because I thought that's what you needed... Me being your enemy. " He shrugs. You search his face before cuddling up to him.

"I'm glad it ended up like this." You breathe nuzzling his chest. "And I'll make up for that lost time." You peek up at him. He smiles at you, fingers running through your hair.

"It's alright... Those fights were fun, even if they always got us into trouble." He muses.

"Hehe, I kept souvenirs from them... Weird beginnings." You chuckle. He smiles and kisses you.

"Weird seems to work."

"YESSSS!" Sunny cheers bouncing on his bed. "I KNEW THAT DRESS WOULD COME IN HANDY!"

"Shhh," You giggle. "You're so energized this morning..."

"Kid's going to be my brother in law!" He gushes.

"W-Whoa, slow down there bro." You blush.

"It's going to happen! You two are awesome together!" He grins.

"... Get dressed Sunny." You giggle before going out with a small smile.

"I think he's more excited about our date than us." Kid comments looking over from the couch with a smirk.

"I told you to sleep in, I can take him and come back." You breathe going over and leaning down to kiss him.

"But I wanted to listen to his reaction." He hums and gets up coming around the couch to hug you. "Besides the bed's warmer in you're in it." He adds resting his cheek against your temple.

"Can't let Cuddles get cold." You smirk.

"Hush Squeaky." He shoots back. You pull back to stick your tongue out at him. He returns the gesture until Sunny's giggle makes you both look over.

"School!" You cheer before leading them out.

After dropping off Sunny, you and Kid decide to jump straight to the date, going to breakfast, then walking through the park as you try to plan the day. Finally you both agree on going to the carnival at the edge of the city.

"Cotton candy here we come!" You cheer starting back to the car.

"I'm looking forward to the rides, we're going on the Death Spin." Kid chuckles.

"But I liked our breakfast." You joke.

"Heh, okay, maybe not that one, we can be cliché and go on the ferris wheel." He tilts his head.

"What if we lit it on fire first?" You look at him. He meets your gaze and chuckles, pulling you into his side and stealing a kiss.

"You, are scary villain indeed."

"I was kidding, that would be so screwed up." You giggle. As you both reach the car, there's a sound of an explosion, and the earth shakes. You stop and look around until your eyes lock on a giant plume of smoke. "Kid..." You murmur paling. He follows your gaze and freezes.

"N-No... That cant be the elementary... Get in, lets go check." He says and you both get in before Kid turns the car around, speeding for the elementary. You were already shaking, the sense of dread starting to smother you. Kid takes your hand and you both share a worried look.

Then the rubble came into view and your heart drops. "No... No... Sunny!" You cry out jumping out of the car and rushing to the rubble, tossing pieces of rubble away as you call for your little brother. The children you uncover, aren't breathing, nor do they move when you shake them. "Sunny!" You call again, tears leaving your eyes.

"_-___..." Kid's broken voice reaches your ear and you look over as he sinks to his knees at shape. You freeze briefly before staggering to his side, finding your brother and Merry covered in ash, unmoving and holding hands.

"No... No..." You drop to your knees, pulling Sunny into your arms. "S-Sunny wake up... W-We're here to get you... Sunny... Please Sunny, this isn't funny..." You nuzzle his hair, breaking down. "Please... Please wake up little brother..."

He never did wake up. There were only two, maybe three children that survived the blast. The explosion was caused by a villain that had demanded ransom from the government, and 'accidentally' pulled the trigger. He was put to death but, the damage was already done.

Kid peers into Sunny's room, finding you sitting on the bed, hugging Sunny's favorite belongings with tears in your eyes. "___... The funeral will start soon, lets go." He murmurs softly, heart aching when you look at him blankly.

"... Okay..." You whisper, getting up and going out with the belongings. Kid leads you put and downstairs, rubbing your back gently since he didn't know what else to do. He and Law actually had to work on the arrangements since you were... Emotionally unresponsive. It hurt seeing you like this, and knowing his adopted little brother was gone. Still, he couldn't imagine your pain.

The funeral was even more painful. No matter how close he held you, it felt like you couldn't feel his warmth. Your hands didn't leave that small coffin until it's lowered from your reach. Kid holds you tightly as the tears come back.

"___..." A voice he never heard before makes you stop instantly and you both look back at the man. "I am so sorry..."

"Now you show up?" You whisper gritting your teeth. Kid pauses, glancing at you. "You weren't there when mom died bringing him here. You never came to a single birthday party... Do you even know that his... His birthday is in three days? Do you know how old he would've been?" Now Kid realizes who the man is.

"___, I-"

"Do you!?" You snap, body flickering. Kid blinks in surprise, what was that just now. "Go away." You glare at the man.

"___-"

"GO!" You shout, body flickering again as static invades your voice. He hesitantly leaves and you break down again, crying for your little brother again.

***One Month Later***

"Hey ___, I brought you some food." Kid says coming in and setting the to go bags on the table. "I ran into Law, he's worried about you, you should really..." He trails off, peering into your room as you zip up your suitcase. "Wh... What's this..?" He asks, stomach already dropping.

"I'm leaving. I'm going over the wall." You tell him, picking up your suitcase and keeping your gaze down.

"___... Please... W-We can find another apartment if it'll help." He murmurs softly as you come to your doorway.

"No... I can't stay here... On this side... I just can't..." You whisper tearing up.

"P-Please ___... We can get through this... Together... Please don't go..." He pleads, trying to catch your gaze. You meet his eyes briefly before kissing his cheek.

"Goodbye Kid." You breathe before walking out the door.
