Before Emma met the super Hero Squad, she was on her last week in Hero Academy before graduation. She was in the training room.

Snowflake watched her as she ate her back carrots. The little kwami made small squeaks cheering her on. Iron Man entered the room as he looked and smile.

"You're in the last week of Academy, huh?" He held out his hand to shake, "the names Tony Stark I'm called Iron Man what's yours?"

Emma stopped and was in shock seeing the famous Iron Man in her school. Standing before her. "I'm...Becker. Emma Becker..."

He then smiles and ruffles her hair, "well it's a pleasure to meet you, Emma."

Emma giggled, "it's a pleasure to meet you, Mr Stark. Did Master Chen sent you in here? I was practicing for the finales."

"no I just decided to come here myself," he chuckles, "you know Chen?"

"Yeah he's my mentor."

"i've known him ever since I came into the hero business. How's he been doing?

"Good...still holding up since...you know. And he told me. He said it was your idea if something happened to Le Noir, you would form the team of Super heroes."

"Yeah that's right. So your parents weren't superheroes I'm guessing?"

"he's your dad?!"

"....was." She looked down remembering the night the police came and told her and her mother about his murder.

Iron Man became serious as he placed his hand on her shoulder, "I'm sorry for your loss, when it comes to superhero work you have to sacrifice alot especially family sometimes."

"Thank you. And you're right. He did everything he could to prevent Doom for coming after me... my dad said something that Doom was after me, but he never told me why. But he always promised me to protect me from him."

Iron Man sighs as he moves his hand away, "Doom always does what he wants no matter the cost. He's obsessed with power so I wouldn't be surprised if that power involves you."

"I don't know...I...I don't have powers. My father do...but I never gained those powers. Which make sense. He made those powers himself." Emma sighed.

"He made them? How?"

"Well many years ago, when Doom was...not evil, they were woke colleagues and best friends. They were also scientists. Soon Doom was like how smart he was to give himself powers that he grew greedy for power. My dad saw this and worry. Soon Doom snapped and cause havoc in the city so my dad used all the stuff in a lab to give him powers. Venom from an alien spider experiment to give him spider sense, powered his brain to have telekinesis, and a special concoction to give him both super speed and super strength."

Iron Man looks impressed but a little concerned, "how strong was your father. In terms of how powerful his powers were."

"I say your smartness equally, and half of the hulk's strength." Emma shrugged.

Iron Man had a small look of shock, but he tried remaining stoic at the information, "you're saying he was nearly as strong as me and the hulk?"

"Yeah, my dad really wanted to protect me as possible and everyone in this city if he was gonna face Doom...."

"And he was gonna face doom alone?"

"After several times, yes he did and always saved the day, but Doom was never caught. But then Master Chen joined him as The Kappa."

Iron Man gave a small smile, "that must've been a sight. How did your dad and master Chen meet?"

"My father was fighting some doombots one day, he was slowly loosing when Master Chen came as the Kappa and fought them off. They both never knew their secret identities until after they met the Chaser and after defeating Doom's first henchmen Punk Star." Emma explained.

Iron Man listens intently as his interest grows in the story, "the Chaser? Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. And did your dad and Chen fight together after that?"

"Until Doom murdered him..."

Iron Man sighs, "and Chen retired after that?"

Emma nodded, "and Chaser herself disappeared."

Iron Man looked concerned, "how does that make you feel?"

Iron Man nods, "sometimes people do dangerous things for the people they love. I understand you wanting to live up to you father's legacy. It shows you love him a lot."

"I do...you could say...I'm a daddy's girl...we were very close."

Iron Man smiled softly, "I bet you were. I could tell by the look in your eyes when you talked about him, you love him so much."

He then smiled and said, "Well, I thought I step in and say hello. It was nice meeting you, Emma. I have a feeling we will meet again...real soon."

Emma smiled, "and it was nice meeting you too Mr Stark. I hope I can get to know you more."

Iron Man nodded smiling and left. Once in the hallway, he saw Master Chen. "Hello, Chen. Nice to see ya."

"ah, Tony it's been awhile! What brings you here?" Master Chen.

"just came to see how's things were progressing here at the academy," Iron Man replied

Master Chen sighs, "well I suppose as well as they could be."

"Something wrong?" Iron Man asked concerned.

Master Chen nodded a little, "yes. Some of the students have been behaving rather recklessly lately. It's a little worrying."

Master Chen sighed and shook his head, "oh no it's not her. She's a good girl, very responsible, like her father. Just some other students."

"Well that's good to hear. I also heard from you that she really wants to join my team. The Super Hero Squad."

Master Chen nods, "yes, that girl has had her mind set on being a hero ever since her father died. I didn't want her to follow my path and be a hero, I didn't want her getting hurt. But she was determined to be a hero to continue her father's legacy..."

"I understand your concern. But with the Super Hero Squad, it maybe dangerous, but we all look out for each other. And I think she will be great on my team once she graduates."

Master Chen looked up, "I know you'll look after her. And I'm sure you guys could use a good kid like her. She has a good and pure heart like her father."

Iron Man smiled, "she does. I see it in her eyes. And she had re best teacher to teach her this far."

Master Chen chuckled, "thanks Tony...," he then got a serious look all the sudden, "Tony...can I ask you a favor?"

"Sure, what is it, Chen?"

He sighs and looks solemn, "it's about Emma..."

"What's wrong?"

"Yes. I made the same promise to her father and her mother before he died. And I promise to you too, Chen. She is safe with me."

Master Chen smiled, "thank you, Tony. That's a weight off my chest," he then looked at a window, "you should get going. The sky is getting dark, a storm must be coming."

"Ah geesh, let's just hope it's Storm o it there and not a real storm," Iron Man chuckled softly, "see you at the graduation ceremony, Chen."

"Yes, I'll be in the front row supporting Emma," he chuckled a little before giving a wave, "take care, Tony."

After Iron Man left, he didn't know he was being spied on of a hacked security camera. In the hideout lair of Dr Doom outside the city, Dr Doom was watching Iron Man his arch-nemesis leaving the academy.

Dr Doom: that blasted Stark. Always in my way," he grumbled to himself, "and a new squaddie. Le Noir's girl..." he got a smirk as he watched the school cameras, "I bet you're just as powerful as your father... I know just how to find out."

He got a sly smile on his face as he began to type some stuff on the computer, "time for you to experience some training..."

Inn the training room, Emma continued to train harder. Snowflake kept cheering when suddenly the missiles were activated.

"Uh...Snowflake, did you activate them?"

The little rabbit fairy shook her head.

"Uh oh...this is not good!"

The missiles start to fire, each of them targeting Emma. They all seemed to move much faster than a training simulation would.

Emma bolting around dodging the missiles, "Snowflake! See if you can hack in the controls!!!" But Snowflake was too frightened to move.

Emma had to find a way to disarm them. She sighed and looked around to see how to can stop them. "Come on, what would my dad do?" She sped towards the wall and flipped backwards to have one hit the wall. She then had an idea.

The missiles continued to fire at her, moving so fast to see how she could react against them. And each explosion they made was much more powerful than a normal simulation. Whatever this was, it certainly wasn't a training simulation.

Master Chen then walked in, "Emma is everything—"

"MASTER!!!" Emma ran to him, grabbed him and jumped out of the way before the missile hit him and hit the ground.

"Someone hacked into them!" She grabbed him and jumped out of the way again. "Snow! I seriously need your help! Can you atleast make a forcefield!"

Snowflake floated towards them and made a force field around them. It prevented the missiles from hitting them.

"Master Chen, where are the controls at?" Emma asked.

"The control room is down the hall! Hurry!" He yelled as the missiles kept hitting the shield.

Emma nodded, "Ok snow, on the count to 3. 1...2...3!" Emma grabbed Master Chen once Snowflake broke the force field and they ran down the hallway.

Dr Doom continued to watch and smirked on his throne he then decided to test her more.

Dr Doom chuckled to himself as he pushed a few buttons. One of the missiles broke away from the others and shot towards the control room, "let's see how she deals with that..."

Master Chen noticed the missiles coming towards them, he turned to Emma and yells, "Emma! Look out behind you!" He pointed to the missile behind them.

"SNOW, SHIELD!!!"

Snowflake, still floating beside them held his hands out and a force field appeared around Chen and Snowflake, but Emma pushed harder running to the control room. She slammed the door and dropped down as it blasted the door. She sighed in relief. She then rushed to the control panel.

"Ok what the heck is going on?"

Dr Doom smirked again and pressed another button.

Emma tried to hack into the system but Master Chen yelled, "EMMA!! THE DRONES!!!"

Emma turned around and doors opened around her and the fighting drones started attacking her.

"WOE!" She immediately dodged them. She then grabbed her ray gun and blasted lazer beams at the drones.

Doom seeing this was surprised. His smirk dropped from his face at this, "she has a ray gun? Le Noir never had a gun."

He quickly began typing some stuff on the computers so find out as much information on her and what weapons she had.

What he read was a ray gun Le Noir actually did make, it shot lazers, energy blasts, and electric shocks, she had bolas weapons, a grapple gun, and smoke marble bombs. It wasn't much but he was still surprised. *Dr Doom clenched his fist, he had underestimated Emma and didn't do enough research of her. He would have to make a mental note of that at a later time. But for now, a new plan was required*

"She's smarter than I thought."

He started to type something on the computers.

Emma continued to dodge the robots and blasted at them with the energy beams. They were quite resilient and fast but they slowly started to go down.

"I want to see how you handle this..."

He pushes a few buttons and some more robots came out of the walls.

Emma continued fight. She threw her smoke bombs down causing the drones have a hard time looking for her. She put on her goggles and rushed over to the control panel and continued to hack. "Oh so Doom, huh? Well how about this, bozo!?" She  managed to hack back in and into his system.

Doom didn't know what she did, but then his ankles and wrists were bounded holding him down on his throne. Dr Doom's eyes went wide as he watched on his screen, that was not what was supposed to happen. How did she hack into his system like that and bind him?

He gave a look of anger as he tried to break free of the bind. It was almost like he was powerless to stop it.

"This can't be! How did she break into my system so easily and bind me to my throne?! This is not part of the plan!"

Doom struggled, he yelled for Modok and Abomination. "MODOK!!! ABOMINATION!!!"

Modok and the abomination rushed in and looked at Doom. Modok chuckled at the sight of Doom being bound to the throne while the abomination looked at him with curiosity.

Dr Doom then yelled, "don't just stand there you idiots! Untie me!"

Modok smirked, "I don't know... you look so helpless it's kinda funny."

The Abomination nodded, yeah, it's almost cute seeing you like that."

"JUST GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!" Doom screamed in rage scaring them both.

Modok and the abomination went wide eyed and saluted before quickly walking over. Modok started typing in codes to free him while the abomination tried pulling the binds apart.

"Lord Doom, how this happen?" Modok asked still working on the codes.

"That girl did this...," Dr Doom looked at the screen and pointed to Emma, who was still at the control panel now with Master Chen and the rabbit fairy, "somehow she hacked into my system and bound me to this throne."

Modok and Abomination chuckled and soon Doom was free. He got up off the throne, and his eyes were filled with rage. How dare that girl make him look like a fool in front of his henchmen, "that little girl is going to regret interfering with my plans!"

"Ooooh, whatcha gonna do when they come for you?" Modok started to sing.

"Bad boys! Bad boys!" Abomination added in.

(I don't know why I put this in. I just thought it was funny)

Dr Doom shot a death glare at the pair, "you two idiots! Shut up! You're not helping!"

Modok and Abomination kept singing the song, "Bad boys! Bad boys! Whatcha gonna do when they come for you, bad boys! Bad boys!"

*Dr Doom's eyes twitched and he clenched his fist in anger, but he knew he had other matters to attend to*

Dr Doom: SHUT UP!!! When I get the chance I'm gonna kill you both for that!

He then looked at the screen and saw that Emma was still at the control panel,

"You ok, Master?" Emma asked catching her breath.

Master Chen he shook his head but smiled, "yes, I'm ok...but are you ok. You're breathing quite heavily."

Master Chen's eyes went wide at her words, "D-Dr Doom?! He hacked into the weapon controls?!"

"Yeah, but I hacked him back and he should be struggling in his throne as we speak."

Master Chen chuckled, and was impressed by her skills, "heh, that's my girl. But how did he get his hands on the controls to begin with?"

"To be honest, I don't know. Maybe you should asked Mr Stark what security SHIELD uses. It may protect it better."

Master Chen hummed at her words but agreed with the idea. He was going to have to talk with Tony about that when he had the chance, "that's something I'll bring up to him later. For now, we gotta deal with the mess the weapons caused."

"Oh man!"

Days later....

News reporter Zoey was outside of Hero Academy to announce this year's graduation celebration. Super Mayor was also by her. Several parents were outside of the academy looking through the window seeing everyone getting ready for the graduation. Some of the super hero students also saw the news and went to the windows to look.

"Zoey, we're live." The camera man said.

Zeoy nodded, "alright, thanks Jim."

She then looked at the camera with a smile as Super Mayor gave a wave behind her.

"hi everyone, you're watching the news live here as we are covering the annual Hero Academy Graduation. As you can see behind me, many Hero Squad students and their parents are getting ready for the ceremony that will be starting in a few minutes from now," she then walked out to Super Mayor, "How about you, Super Mayor, are you excited for all this?"

"You betcha! it's always such a beautiful day when young superheroes graduate and get the chance to make their way in the world."

"that's right. The students are all very excited about graduating and the new opportunities they will have to help out the world with."

"And from what I heard, Super Mayor, the leaders of every Hero team is here to choose the top best heroes and heroines to join their team, right?"

Super Mayor nods his head and gives the camera a serious look, "That's correct Zoey, the leaders of every hero team are here to choose the best and brightest to join their team. So the graduates are very much eager to find out who will choose them."

"Especially the top student herself, Phantom Girl correct? The daughter of Le Noir?"

Super Mayor nodded, "Correct, she's the top graduate this year. Every Hero team leader is going to want her for their team."

"Well in that case, I wonder which team she will go to if everyone of them wants her. And I even wonder for the Fantastic Four if they will change their name also." She giggled to her joke.

Super Mayor chuckled at her joke. He then saw the time, "oh well look at the time, it's time for the ceremony. So Zoey, what do you say we go inside and take our seats?"

Zoey nodded, "yes, that sounds good. Let's go inside and get the ceremony started. I am Zoey Millers and the rest back to you Tom until we begin the ceremony."

Inside the Hero Academy, Iron Man sat beside Master Chen in the front row. His team: Thor, Hulk, Reptil, Falcon, Ms Marvel, Wolverine, Silver Surfer, and Captain America were seating with other hero teams like the x-men, and the Fantastic Four.

"Hey, Chen, you excited?"

Master Chen nodded his head and smiled, "yes, I am. I can't wait to see her graduate.

He turned away for a second so the other heroes would hear what he says, "and I also can't wait to see which team she'll end up joining."

Chen then glanced at Stacy and back at Iron Man. "oh Iron Man this is Emma's mother. Stacey Becker. Mrs Becker, this is Iron Man, leader of the Super Hero Squad and the one that gave your husband the idea of making hero squads to defeat Dr Doom."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs Becker, Le Noir's wife I presume?" Iron Man whispered the last part.

Stacey gave a soft nod at Ironman's words, "It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Mr. Stark. Le Noir spoke quite highly of you."

She then sighed, thinking about her late husband. It had been years and she was still struggling to get used to him being gone, "yes, I am Le Noir's wife. I only wish he could be here to see our daughter graduate today."

Ironman gently placed a hand on her shoulder and smiled, "I'm sure he's watching from the heavens, proud of his little girl and the woman she has become."

Stacey then smiled.

That's when Super Mayor got on stage and made an announcement. Super Mayor walked onto the stage and over to the podium where a microphone was sitting. He then looked out to the audience with a smile on his face, "good evening, everyone. I hope you all are having a wonderful day and I'm very happy that you all could be here for this very special event. As you all know, today is the day we celebrate the annual Hero Academy Graduation. Our top graduates over the past school year are about to get the chance to show us their skills, knowledge, and powers they have learned while here, and today is the day they get the chance to show all of that to you, so let's begin!"

The audience cheered and clapped at Super Mayor's words, "so without further or do, let's welcome our Top Graduates!"

"Scarlet Strange aka Witch Girl," the daughter of Dr Strange stepped up and was handed her diploma by Super Mayor. As Scarlet Strange walked up and received her diploma from Super Mayor, the audience cheered and clapped. On the stage, Dr Strange gave her a proud smile.

Super Mayor then looked at who's next, "next we have...Theodore Richards! The son of the leader of the Fantastic Four! Let's give him a round of applause!"

Theodore walked up and Super Mayor handed his diploma. The Fantastic Four cheered for him.

"Up next, Edward Thompson! Aka Genius Boy!"

Eddie walked up and was handed his diploma.

"Stephen Quobert! Aka Robo Boy!"

Robo Boy walked up and nodded taking his diploma.

The next girl before Emma was shaking nervously.

"Portal Girl, it's ok, you got this," Emma smiled.

"Gracia Lopez aka Portal Girl!"

Portal Girl took a deep breath and slowly walked up. When she took her diploma, she almost dropped it, but she caught it before it fell. The audience giggled a bit, and Portal Girl blushed from the near fall.

Super Mayor then winked at Emma and then announced the last student who was Emma aka Phantom Girl.

The audience waited in anticipation as Super Mayor cleared his throat, "And last, but not least, the top graduating student of Hero Academy class of 2009, please welcome, Phantom Girl!"

Emma stood up and walked up to him as everyone stood up and cheered.

"New hero?" Hulk asked Thor excited and Thor nodded.

Eddie who was also Emma's best friend whistled in a cheerful expression to her. And everyone were happy since they knew she was Le Noir's daughter. Emma smiled as Super Mayor gave her the diploma and shook her hand smiling.

As Super Mayor shook her hand, a proud look on his face, every pair of eyes in the audience were glued to her. Almost every hero team leader in the room was waiting anxiously to see which team she will choose.

"Alright, can I have the leaders of all hero teams come up to the stage, please?" Super Mayor asked.

All the leaders nodded and started to walk up onto the stage. The heroes watching the scene could hardly contain their excited for who she'd choose.

Super Mayor nodded, "alright, let's have you one by one state your hero names and your team name before she chooses."

Captain America was the first to take a step forward and speak, "I am Captain America, leader of the Super Hero Squad. We look forward to the chance of having you join our team, Phantom Girl."

The next leader step forward of the Fantastic Four. Reed Richards, "I am Mr Fantastic from the Fantastic Four. We also look forward to the chance of you joining our team."

Next was Professor X of the X-Men.

"I am Professor X, the leader of the X-Men. We greatly look forward to the chance we get to have you on our team."

Dr Strange then stepped forward. He didn't have a team yet, but he was forming one. "I am Dr Strange, Sorcerer Supreme. I hope that you will consider joining the team I am forming, as I would love to have you on it."

Super Mayor then turned to Phantom Girl, "alright, Phantom Girl, the choice is yours. Choose your team!"

Emma smiled and looked at the leaders. She then turned to her mother Stacey who was giving her a small smile. Even Master Chen. Emma then turned back to Super Mayor.

"There was one team I always wanted to join since I knew my dad became Le Noir and his team The Main Trio...I wanted his team...but since he's gone...there is another team I wanted to join...because I see my father in one of the heroes. Iron man...I choose the Super Hero Squad." She walked up to Captain America, "If that's alright with you, Captain?"

The audience cheered upon her answer and the other leaders looked a little upset. For the Super Hero Squad leaders, they were thrilled.

For Iron Man, he felt proud and honored to be picked, since he looked at Phantom Girl like a daughter of his own.

Captain America smiled, "Of course. We're excited to have you on our team, Phantom Girl."

Emma smiled, "thank you!" She then turned to her mother and ran to her and hugged her. Stacey smiled and hugged her daughter tight, "I'm so proud of you, honey."

On the stage, Captain America and the other Super Hero Squad members were smiling.

"Thank you, mom. I just wish, daddy was here."

Stacey nodded her head, a feeling of loss for her late husband in her eyes, "I know. I wish he was here too. But he's looking down at you very proud. We both are, our little Phantom Girl."

Master Chen nodded and patted her arm. Emma then hugged him as well. "Thank you. You are the best mentor I ever had. And you picked the right kwami for me."

Master Chen chuckled at her words and hugged her back, "I'm happy I was able to do that for you. Your father would be very proud of you," As Master Chen pats her on the back, he then whispers in her ear,  And don't ever forget, I will always be here, as a mentor and a friend."

Emma smiled, "I won't. You have my word, master and thank you."

Captain America smiled at their exchange. The other Super Hero Squad members also smiled. The leaders of the other teams still looked sad and a bit disappointed that she didn't pick them, but they had to accept it.

Iron Man had a smile on his face as he held out his hand to her, "welcome to the Super Hero Squad, Phantom Girl."

She took his hand, "thank you. It's been my whole life to work alongside you and your team."

Iron Man gripped her hand firmly, giving it a strong, yet gentle, shake. The rest of team Super Hero Squad also stood with smiles on their faces, with Captain America and the other team leaders smiling with proud smiles.

Iron Man smiled, "I trust that you will do great on our team. And I'm proud to have an amazing young woman like you alongside me."

Ms Marvel then stepped in, "how about we show her around the hellicarrier?" She took Emma away with the other heroes excited. Stacey then turned to Iron Man, "promise me something, Mr Stark?"

Iron Man looked down at her, giving her a questioning look at her words, "What is it, Mrs Becker?

Stacy took a deep breath and looked up at Iron Man with a serious look in her eyes, "please promise me that you'll look after her. My Emma is a strong girl, but I want to know that you'll protect her, no matter what."

Iron Man nodded his head while giving her a reassuring smile, "I promise, Mrs Becker. We will keep her safe and watch out for her."

"Thank you...someone has to protect her from Doom since my husband is gone...ever since he was gone...Doom hasn't bothered us, but that doesn't mean...he isn't plotting anything..."

Iron Man's eyes darkened a bit and he grumbled a bit. He could feel a burning hatred inside of him at the words "Dr Doom" being spoken, "don't worry, Mrs Becker. Me and the team are not going to let Doom get his hands on her. And if he dare tries to harm her, we'll stop him."

"Thank you, Mr Stark," Stacy teared up.

Iron Man gently placed a hand on her shoulder, offering her a reassuring look, " it's no problem at all. And like I said, you don't need to worry. She'll be safe under my watch and the team's watch."

Zoey was in front of a camera in front of the school, "that's right folks! Today, we have witnessed the most important event a hero graduates from Hero Academy to become a professional hero! And today, we have quite an amazing announcement here, folks. The one who everyone was watching the most is now on the Super Hero Squad Team! That's right, the top graduate at Hero Academy and the daughter of the late Le Noir will be joining the Super Hero Squad team! Isn't that exciting news, guys!?"

Dr Doom had been watching every second of the news and he roared in rage grabbing the tv and ripped it off the wall.

"Hey, we were watching that!" Modok said as Abomination and Mole Man munched popcorn.

Doom roared and smashed the tv against the table in anger, "Why her!?!? Why did she have to join Stark's team!?"

"Wow, you really upset about this," Abomination said.

"Shut up! I knew there was a chance she might join his team! But I thought for sure she'd join one of the other teams! Or at least reject all offers and find a new team on her own," Doom yelled. He slammed his fist down on the table in anger, cracking it slightly."

"Well looks like the Hacker Girl will be defeating you easily now that she is on Stark's team." Modok laughed.

Doom yells, "don't remind me!"

He clenched his fists tightly, feeling the rage building up inside him, "that damn Stark! What does he have that I don't!? What makes him better than me in her eyes!?"

"Did she say he reminds her of her father, your top arch-nemesis, Le Noir?" Mole Man asked.

"Yes! She did!" At hearing the name Le Noir, Doom clenched his fists so tight his knuckles turned white. He hated her father, and hearing her say that Stark reminded her of her father only angered Doom even more.

"Was he around before we all met, Lord Doom?" Modok asked, trying to remember.

"Yes. Le Noir was around before we all met. In fact I have been fighting him way before we all met," Doom grumbled to himself as he spoke, his eyes darkening at the mention of Le Noir.

"Why do you want her anyway?" Abomination asked, "she doesn't have any powers."

Doom looked up at Abomination and gave him a dark look, "I have my reasons. But it's none of your business. All you need to know is that it is important that I get my hands on her in any way I can. Understand?"

Doom's intense glare sent a shiver down Abomination's spine and he quickly nodded.

"Y-y-yeah. I understand, Lord Doom."

"Good," Doom smirked a bit and sat down in his throne, "now, if you'll excuse me. I need to come up with a plan to get Phantom Girl into my grasp."

In the Helicarrier which was the Super Hero Squad's base, Ms Marvel showed Emma around. Emma looked around in awe as Ms Marvel showed her around. From the hangar, to the bedrooms, and finally to the living room.

Emma didn't know where to look first. All the various tech and equipment, the furniture, etc. Everything took her breath away.

Ms Marvel then led her to a spare bedroom, "and this your chambers. For you spending the night of course."

Emma walked around the bedroom, looking at the furniture and bed, "this is beautiful...but, isn't this someone else's room? I don't want to steal their room."

Ms Marvel chuckled at her words and shook her head, "no, no. Don't worry. It was given to you, just for you. I promise you won't be stealing anyone's room."

"Thank you, Ms Marvel, I love it."

"You're very welcome."

Ms Marvel gives her a smile and watches as Emma looks around her new room. She couldn't believe how excited and amazed Emma was, which was sweet to see, "How about we introduce the rest of the team to you?"

Emma looked at her and her eyes lit up. She was clearly excited to meet the rest of the team, "yes please! Let's go!"

Ms Marvel led her to the other heroes in the lounge.

"Hey look the newbie is here," Falcon smirked.

"Hopefully, I'm not the youngest member finally!" Reptil said.

"What's all the racket!?" Wolverine snapped.

"It's Ghosty!! New girl!!" Hulk smiled.

"Who thou is this?" Thor asked, blushing shyly.

Silver Surfer smiled, "another female amongst us. Interesting."

Emma smiled a bit, a little nervous to meet everyone. She took a deep breath to calm herself and gave a little wave to the rest of the team, "Um, hi. I'm Phantom Girl. I'm the new member."

The team smiled and started to gather around her.

"Hey there, new girl. I'm the Falcon. That's Reptil, and Silver Surfer."

He pointed towards each person as he said their names.

Iron Man chuckled, "of course you met, Cap, and Ms Marvel, plus myself, the green giant is Hulk, claws guy is a ex member of the X-Men Wolverine, and the guy blushing with gold locks is Thor."

"H-Hi," Emma smiled shyly.

The team could see that she looked nervous around them.

"Aww. She's adorable." Reptil smiled.

Emma blushed a bit, feeling a little embarrassed as her being shy earned a few chuckles from the team, especially Reptil.

Iron Man smirked a bit as he saw Thor staring at her and blushing, "you better stop staring at the new girl, Thor. You're drooling."

The team couldn't help but laugh, while Thor blushed a deep, deep red.

Thor blushed darker, "I-I was not drooling!!"

Wolverine smirked, "are you sure? 'Cause I'm pretty sure I saw drool coming out of that mouth of yours that you kept open for so long."

Thor blushed a deeper red in embarrassment and closed his mouth shut. The team started to laugh and snicker at his embarrassment while Emma couldn't help but smile a bit, finding the whole thing cute.

"I think you're gonna fit to the squad just fine, Emma," Iron Man smiled, "You and your kwami."

Emma smiled and looked at all the team. She was starting to feel more and more comfortable as they were all so welcoming to her, "thank you. You and the team have all been very kind to me so far, and I appreciate it a lot."

Emma turned to Thor for a moment and blushed a bit, noticing that he was still staring right at her, the blush still on his face.

"I really don't understand what's in that guy's head half of the time," Silver Surfer said.

That night, Emma was getting ready for bed. Snowflake was in her little bed on Emma's nightstand. Emma looked out the window once she was in her pajamas, but froze seeing a building out of the city beyond the wall. She knew instantly it was Dr Doom's lair. She shivered seeing it. She took a step back, feeling a shiver crawl up her back and down her spine as she recognized it.

Snowflake looked at her, sensing her unease. The little rabbit kwami looked out the window at Doom's lair, also feeling a shiver when it came to them.

"He is still plotting something...and I sense he will start something big. That hacking he did at the academy...he had to be sending a warning...he's gonna be on the move again...I can feel it, Snow."

Snowflake nodded her head in agreement. Even though she was a tiny fairy rabbit, Snowflake could also feel that Doom was planning something big. She knew Doom had something evil in plan, and there was a feeling of dread building inside her.

Snowflake sat up in her bed and looked up at Emma with concern in her eyes.

Emma looked down at her, "I will be fine, Snow. I just need some sleep." She then crawled into bed and turned off the lamp, "good night, Snow."

Snowflake curled up into a tiny, fluffy ball in her bed and shut her eyes, trying to sleep.

Emma laid down and tried to get comfortable in her bed, but for some reason, there was a pit in her stomach. As she closed her eyes, a feeling of dread washed over her and she suddenly had a sense of foreboding. Emma tried to shake the feeling off, but found it difficult to do so. It was late at night and most of the team was asleep, but Emma couldn't seem to get any sleep herself. She laid there, her eyes wide open, as the feeling of dread grew stronger and stronger inside of her. She then looks up, and spoke up, "God, it's me...I haven't spoke to you for awhile, but...I thought I could talk to you...?"

There was a pause.

"I'm scared...you think...you can let my dad know I still miss him. And that I still love him? Thank you."

She then laid back down and felt a little better that she prayed.

Emma closed her eyes again, trying once more to get some sleep. This time, the feeling of dread started to slowly fade away and the pit in her stomach started to diminish. As the feeling of dread left her, there was a sudden sense of comfort and peace that went through her body and started to soothe her. As if someone was sitting by her bed and watching over her.
