The door at the end of the hall looked like the other ones except for one feature: the red X on the upper half. Xavier looked at Patrick, Zoe, and Jason. They nodded in approval, and Xavier opened the door.

Inside the room lay a primarily empty pool with filthy water. Suddenly, the water started to bubble. Then, a book floated right out of the pool and hovered over to the group. Zoe grabbed it, and, to her surprise, it already felt dry. The book was entirely black, almost as if somebody had recently painted it. She opened it and found the author was somebody named Libricus.

"This is the book Jack Flynn received all those years ago... I never thought I'd actually see it," Jason said.

"Well, you won't see it for very long," Zoe decided. She threw the book into the water, but it lay in the air frozen above the pool, to everyone's surprise. Then, it opened up to a particular page to reveal a drawing of Libricus himself. A few seconds later, that drawing materialized above the book. Libricus had the appearance of a bald, elderly man with a silver beard that went down to his chest. For clothing, he wore a brown robe and black sandals.

"Did you attempt to throw this book away?" he asked with a threatening voice.

"Yes," replied Zoe.

"Then suffer the consequences," Libricus stated. He took hold of his face and pulled back to reveal a skull. Once the skin got removed, Libricus let out a screech that made the whole room tremble.

Jason shielded the three teenagers and shouted as loud as he could, "RUN!!!"
