Level 10- Puzzles From Hell

Zoe, Xavier, and Patrick continued down the secret passage. It was pitch black, but luckily there were no turns, so they moved straight.

A few minutes later, they came across another hallway, but this one looked radically different from the one before. The floor's red tiles had green diamond shapes inside them, and the maroon walls gave the area an ominous feel. On the left side of the hall lay three teal doors, similar to the one that led to the red room. The right side also had three doors.

"Okay... so where do we go now?" Patrick asked out loud.

Almost as if responding to his question, the first door on the right opened on its own. It had what looked like a houseplant next to it.

"Right there," Zoe said, pointing.

The trio found themselves in a room with a leather chair and a table with a lit candle on it. However, the bookcase at the far end of the room caused everyone's blood to freeze.

"This... this is the same library from the game," Xavier said, trembling. "Fuck this. I'm outta here!"

Unfortunately for Xavier, the door leading to the library slammed shut and locked by itself. Three seconds later, the books started to poke out of the bottom shelf on their own. They kept repeating the same pattern.

"So... do you think one of us has to go over there?" Patrick pondered.

"I'll do it," Zoe declared. She went up to the bookcase and observed the pattern. Once the books stopped moving, Zoe pulled out the correct order. The second and third rows were just as easy, but the fourth row proved even more challenging than before. It took all of Zoe's concentration to pull out the right books.

Once she finished, the door unlocked, and the trio went out back into the hallway. This time, the door on the far left end opened.

"I guess that will be round two," Zoe stated.
