YunGi ¦ #9

"Baby?! I have your sunscreen!" The rather tall male yelled, holding a bottle of Banana Boat Sunscreen between his slender fingers as he leaned against the front door, his black hair falling over his forehead.

"Okay! Do you have my hat?!" A response came, loud scrambling heard throughout the shared house as the other male searched for his belongings.

"Yes, Yuni-bear, yes I do! Don't worry, I have everything you need!" Mingi yelled, waiting for his caramel haired husband to come bounding down the stairs like an overly excited golden retriever.

And sure enough, moments later an excited Yunho came down the stairs with a white T-shirt, shorts, and his sunglasses resting on top of his head.

"Let's go, Minnie!" Yunho exclaimed, grabbing Mingi's arm as he pulled his husband out the house.

Mingi laughed loudly, allowing himself to be led to the vehicle and pushed into the driver's seat as Yunho then ran to the passenger seat and hopped in.

"What's got you so excited?" Mingi asked, knowing full well what the reason was but enjoying the way Yunho would explain with sparkles in his chocolate brown eyes.

"Oh Minnie! The beach of course, you silly thing!"

Mingi laughed loudly, interlacing their hands as they drove to the sea for a day of fun. The two left their house early that morning, hoping to be at the water's by 10AM so they could have fun for a while before going out for lunch.

The weather was crisp and cool, the sun hiding behind the clouds and the wind ruffling their hair gently as they drove with open windows. Along the way, Yunho turned on some music, singing loudly along with Mingi and laughing as they purposely hit wrong notes.

Mingi smiled warmly as he looked at his husband. Sparkles gliterred in Yunho's eyes and his cheeks were red from laughter. He was beautiful inside and out and Mingi was proud that he managed to find himself someone as perfect as the one he could call his husband.

"Minnie?" Yunho asked, his voice tired and sleepy. "Are we almost there? I'm tired of sitting and my behind hurts!"

It hurt Mingi to hear the tiredness in his husband's voice. Yunho deserved the best and only the best. He deserved all good and Mingi worked hard to provide everything that Yunho needed to stay happy at all times and of course, Yunho did the same. They went out and beyond for each other and both knew they wouldn't do it for anyone else.

"I'm sorry, Princess, we still have half an hour to go," Mingi apologized, squeezing their interlaced fingers gently. "Go to sleep, yeah? I'll wake you up once we get there."

Yunho nodded, kissing the back of Mingi's hand before resting the chair to the back and getting comfortable to sleep. The air hitting his face and Mingi's warm hand wrapped with his allowed him to lull off quickly, a smile on his face as he fell asleep.

The next time Yunho awoke, it was to the gentle voice of Mingi as he was gently shaken awake.

"Yuni-bear? Princess? Baby?"

"Huh?" Yunho asked sleepily, his hair all over the place as his eyes blearily opened.

"We're at the sea now!"

It was as if a switch had been turned on, Yunho's eyes widened and he sat up, frantically opening the vehicle door as he dashed out in full glee. His cheeks lifted as he smiled brightly and stretched out his arms to feel the air, his adorable smile melting Mingi's heart.

"Hey! Yunnie! You haven't even put on your sunscreen!" Mingi scolded lightly, a smile on his face as he couldn't bear to even be upset in the slightest.

"But I don't wanna! I'll do it later!" Yunho whined, running along the shorelines while kicking the water.

Mingi sighed. It was just past ten which meant the sun was at its hottest. Yunho was out there running around with no protection which meant his pale skin would burn badly if not protected. Mingi, on the other hand, rubbed lotion all over his tan skin and chased after Yunho with a giant dollop on his hands.

The two giggled and screamed as Yunho tried fighting off Mingi. Yunho knew he was supposed to put it on but suddenly, he didn't want to. Besides, he didn't like the stinging he felt once it was smeared all over his skin.

"But it tingles!" Yunho whined, pouting as Mingi held him in his strong arms. "I'll bite you!"

"Bite me, I don't care," Mingi responded, smearing the lotion all over his hands in order to spread it on his husband. "It would be nothing compared to the bruises you'll get after being toasted."

"That's not fair! You know I wouldn't bite you anyway!" Yunho whined, staying still as Mingi lathered his face and exposed neck with the white substance.

Mingi laughed, kissing Yunho's head top right after he was finished. Yunho smiled at the warm gesture, unable to even pretend to be upset. He loved the affection, he loved being treated as if he was small, he loved everything about the way Mingi handled him, and he especially loved Mingi.

The two spent their morning having fun and laughing loudly, families steadily arriving as the day progressed and the sun rose higher into the sky. The two were tired by the time it was lunch and collapsed under the large umbrella Mingi had set up as Yunho poked at crabs and starfish in the tide pools.

"Minnie? I'm hungry," Yunho whispered, hugging Mingi as he looked at him with puppy eyes. "Will you feed me?"

Mingi's heart melted, how could he possibly say no to him?

"Of course I will! Come on, lets just put away our things and go get food."

Yunho nodded, whining as he did it but didn't stop, wanting food already. It didn't take them long, their combined effort making the process easier and soon enough, Yunho was once again sitting in the passenger seat and bouncing in place with joy.

"I want chicken nuggets!"

"Alright, alright," Mingi laughed, driving in search of a place that sold Yunho's favourite food.

His eyes didn't spot the chicken nugget place and he almost drove past if it weren't for Yunho screaming.

"MINNIE WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! DON'T YOU SEE THE NUGGET PLACE?!"

Mingi nearly swerved off the road, his husband's loud screech scaring him.

"Yunnie! Don't yell at me! We nearly crashed!" Mingi scolded, calming himself down as he pulled into the parking lot.

Yunho pouted in a mix of embarrassment and sadness at the fact that Mingi scolded him but it was okay, nothing he couldn't handle. The two walked into the restaurant, Yunho already at the counter before they could properly look around as he rattled off the food he wanted to eat. Mingi leaned beside him and waited for the final decision to be made but it seemed it would take too long for Yunho to settle on something so Mingi took the responsibility of just ordering what he would assume Yunho would eat and then ordering for himself.

It turned out to be the right decision, Yunho happily eating as he chattered away about what he saw at the sea. Mingi simply listened fondly, gently massaging Yunho's thigh with his hand. Now, Mingi was an extra slow eater but with Yunho talking with excitement and only occasionally stuffing his mouth with food, Mingi managed to finish before his husband which allowed him to simply stare at the puppy like male while gently running his hands on him.

"I'm tired!" Yunho suddenly said in the middle of his chattering. "I want to go home already!"

"Oh? I thought you wanted to be at the ocean side all day."

"Well, I did but you chased me and then I got tired and then I ran around so I got more tired and then that one random person there had me playing beach ball with him and his friend so I got even more tired and now, the carbohydrates in this food is making me exhausted," Yunho concluded, slouching over as his exhaustion kicked in.

Mingi chuckled, getting up and packing the remaining food from Yunho's plate to take with them before leaving the restaurant. Along the way, his adorable husband fell asleep, causing Mingi to smile fondly at him. And even though it was nearly two hours in complete silence, he didn't care because that was what he called the ending to a perfect day.
