Chapter 5 (Revised)
Things have been starting to go more smoothly since your arrival. Hoodie and Toby had been assigned to work with Masky on some of his "work projects" as he called them. The three of them would go out as the sun set, and often wouldn't come back until the wee hours of the morning. They often shared Masky's spare room, which was equipped with two small cots, and an empty dresser. When the three of them would leave you would blitz through all of the cleaning Masky left for you, and you'd leave three meals for them in the fridge when they got back. When you finished your work you got some well deserved alone time. Masky's off the grid cabin didn't have any internet access, so you occupied yourself with books Masky had laying around.
By the time you got back you'd be asleep on the couch. Masky had allowed you to sleep on the couch, instead of his dusty closet. Upgrades people, upgrades. Days went by fast, the three of them started to see you as just a part of their normal lives, albeit Hoodie and Toby were a lot colder towards you than Masky was. Which didn't say much really.
You found Masky was a very closed off individual, the only emotion you found he would ever openly express was anger. Masky had a short fuse, and when something pissed him off he'd go out and kill. He wasn't afraid to tell you when he thought you were doing something wrong, and he was very blunt and straightforward.
However Masky was bad at hiding certain things. Whenever he thought he had been too harsh with you or if someone had treated you badly he always shared a dessert with you. He'd serve you a plate and sit adjacent to you, and the two of you would eat in silence. You found this was the closest thing you'd ever get to an apology.
You woke up one morning to beams of sun shining on your face. Rays of morning sunlight peeked through gaps in Masky's worn curtains. You sat up on the couch, looking around to see Masky walking down the stairs. He wasn't wearing his signature mustard colored jacket, but instead a red and black flannel over a black t-shirt, and some blue jeans. He noticed you, and stopped.
"Oh perfect timing sunshine, I had something I wanted to tell you." He walked over to the couch, and leaned on the back of it.
"So one of the guys from the mansion is coming over today to pick something up, now I want to be honest with you, but I don't know your gross tolerance." He paused. Just staring at you, waiting for an answer.
"I really don't do well with gro-"
"They're human kidneys, I have a jar with two human kidneys in the fridge." You gagged, and covered your mouth so you wouldn't throw up.
"There's just kidneys sitting in the fridge? Masky, I don't want kidneys in the fridge with all our food!" Masky raised his arms in the air dramatically.
"Don't get mad at me sunshine! It's not like they'll be there forever! He's coming to pick them up today." He explained it to you like you were five years old. You found yourself unusually fed up with his antics today.
"So should I go upstairs and make myself presentable?" Masky nodded.
"I killed this girl about your size last night, I stole and washed her clothes and they're folded upstairs for you." You sat there, processing what you just heard.
"You killed a girl and stole her clothes...?"
"I didn't steal ALL her clothes, just the top layer." You rubbed your eyes, and stood up. Walking past Masky to walk upstairs.
"Uhh you're welcome!" Masky called out sarcastically. You ignored him and looked at the clothes he folded messily in the bathroom. It was just a pair of blue jeans and a cream colored t-shirt. You put everything on, and everything fit somewhat normally. The jeans were skinny and the shirt was just slightly too tight. You didn't need to keep these forever, it was just a temporary solution. You brushed your hair and teeth, and made your way downstairs. You looked out over the railing and saw another guy you didn't recognize. He was about the same height as Masky, with a black hoodie and a blue mask, painted black tears decorating it.
The masked man turned to you.
"Tim, who's this? She smells delicious." You walked down the stairs and stood next to Masky.
"This is (y/n), she's helping out around here." The masked man tilted his head, seemingly in confusion.
"You brought in an outsider? How does the operator feel about that?" Masky tensed up, but remained calm and collected.
"The operator recognizes this as a form of torture, and I have full permission to keep her here." Masky's voice was tense, but he hid it well.
"Your snack is in the fridge." The man pushed by Masky and made a beeline to the fridge, grabbing the jar and holding it close to his chest. He walked by the two of you, and stopped next to you, leaning in to whisper something in your ear.
"You may want to go to the bathroom, trust me on that." You were confused, but ignored him. Masky held his tongue until he left, but was insanely curious.
"What did he tell you?" You were about to answer, when you suddenly felt the sudden call Aunt Flo.
"Oh god..."
You ran to the bathroom, slamming the door behind you. It completely slipped your mind that you were due for your next period. You panicked, realizing your only option was to ask Masky for help. You opened the door, sticking out your head, and called out for Masky. You waited there in a panic, until Masky slowly walked up the stairs, and stood outside of the door.
"I need you to go to the store, and get me a box of tampons and some painkillers!" Masky just stared at you, not saying anything.
"Please Masky, I try not to ask you for much but I really need this." You stared at him desperately, waiting for him to say something back.
"What's in it for me?" Dear god, he's delusional.
"How about this? You buy me a box of tampons and I don't bleed all over your stuff." There was another long pause. He stood there, seemingly enjoying watching you suffer.
"You'll need to convince me more than th-" You slammed your fist down onto the countertop.
"Go get me a goddamn box of tampons before I rip that mask off you and shove it so far up your ass it'll come out the other end!" Masky stumbled back, shocked you raised your voice at him. That was the first time you've ever exploded on him like that.
"I'll go get that for you right now." He turned around but you grabbed his shoulder, and he turned back around.
"Please get me Tampax Pearl, super absorbency." You smiled at him, and he just nodded. He walked down the stairs and out the door. He was shocked you raised your voice at him the way you did. He walked down the stairs and out the door, locking it behind him and beginning his trek out into the outside world. He pondered the interaction he just had with you.
"Damn... that was kinda hot..."

It had taken Masky a while to figure out what he was looking for but eventually he found them. He walked out of the store wearing a cloth face mask and sunglasses. If people asked he just told them he had pinkeye. He walked back through the forest as the afternoon sun shining high in the sky, the summer heat blistering, and humidity hung in the air. Being out during the day made Masky sick, he hated the fresh summer air, and the friendliness of the people living in this podunk hick town. He walked through the thick forest, double checking the items he bought were in fact correct. He peeked inside the plastic bag, Tampax Pearl supers, a bottle of Advil, and a pack of cigarettes for himself. He figured he deserved something for his troubles. He happened back upon his cabin, seeing Toby and Hoodie standing outside. He cleared his throat loudly, standing behind them.
"Can I help you?" The two of them turned around. And looked at Masky in his incognito outfit, Toby snickering.
"What?" Masky was dead serious, staring at the two of them. It was way too early for them to want to go out for work, so what could they want? Toby jigged the door knob, trying to get inside. Masky dug around in his pocket and pulled out the key, twirling it around on his finger.
"Why are you here?" Masky closed his hand, holding the key in his palm. If they weren't here for a mission then what were they here for? Were they here for food?
"W-We wanted to see the s-stowaway." Ah, so that's what they wanted. Masky sighed, and pinched the bridge of his nose.
"You wanted to come see (y/n), so you decided to break into my cabin when I'm not here." Toby looked appalled that he even suggested that, but Masky saw right through the idiotic teenager.
"N-No... We didn't know y-you weren't here." Masky rolled his eyes behind his sunglasses, but Toby immediately changed the subject, running over to grab the plastic bag out of Masky's bag.
"W-Whats in the bag?" Masky went to pull it away, but Toby was too fast. He snatched the bag out of Masky's hand and looked inside at the content of the bag. Toby immediately busted out laughing, and pulled out the box of feminine products. He waved it in the air, and Masky tried to grab it.
"N-No way! There's n-no freaking way!" Toby tossed the box to Hoodie, and he looked at the box from all angles, and looked back up at Masky, not saying a word. Toby continued to laugh, doubling over, wheezing.
"Y-You totally have gone soft!" Toby walked over and poked his chest. He turned his back to Masky, walking in the direction of the mansion.
"Wait until t-the boss hears about this!" Toby laughed and walked away, and Masky felt his heart sink to his stomach. If the boss finds out about this he'll be in big trouble for sure. Going out of his way to make an outside comfortable; he'd lose his independence and have to move back into the mansion. His fear quickly turned to anger, he got yelled at and bossed around this morning by the woman he was holding captive, and now this twitchy weirdo wanted to walk all over him? No chance. Masky walked over to Toby, grabbing his shoulder. Toby turned around with a smile on his face, but it quickly faded when Masky's fist collided with his face.
