Sunshine for Sunshine-7

Happy reading 🙂🙂

Two years later....

Even though Haechan had proposed to Faazila, the love of his two years ago, they had wanted to enjoy being a courted couple. Faazila had moved in with Haechan after their little celebratory session. The day when Haechan had uploaded the picture of him holding her ring loaded finger was a blur. Articles rapidly went around. It all spread like fire. Comments everywhere around. Her insecurities about his recent dating rumours had died down, but she hated all the attention. It was at first a chase. Like a treasure hunt to find the lucky woman who had stolen the hearts of their favourite idol. Then after her consent, he uploaded a picture of them together and everything that happened was the opposite of what she had expected. There was so much support coming from the fans that it was quite overwhelming.

And now, here she was, at one of the top wedding boutiques in the city. A Vera Wang boutique. For the fitting of her wedding dress. She walked out of the fitting room to the front where all her friends were and stood on the podium. It was a white colour A-line strapless tulle gown that had a huge satin bow at the waistline. The bodice woven in a cross cross manner and the skirt being a little free flowing, not too puffy like the ball-gowns. Her hair in a low braided bun, that was just to see if it suited the style of the dress. But she did want a bun hairstyle and they were going to talk about that later. White ballerina shoes to match. She looked at the huge group of women around her and then twirled a little. Then looked at the mirror with a frown.

"Don't like it?" Ms. Choi, the stylist asked.

She was a patient woman. It was her eighth dress already and she hadn't even frowned. She was always on her toes, running in with the next dress she had in mind once she had figured out her taste and style.

"Not the right one Faazi" a voice said.

She lifted her head up to see Yui, Yuta's wife who shook her head in negative and saw that the others agreed to her as they sipped on their champagne.

"Want some?" Jenna, Jaehyun's wife asked.

"Can't drink" she pouted.

"Right" Jenna shook her head.

She was so glad to have them all with her. Literally the seventeen wives. She was going to be the eighteenth one to join the group. Their children either on their laps sleeping or staring into void or even babbling or some just running around. The men were with the groom to be, helping him select his suit.

"It definitely is not" Faazila sighed, looking at herself in the mirror.

"Try this one" Ms. Choi, walked back in with another dress.

It was an ivory satin ball-gown with bows on the shoulder and waistline dress. And it had a long train of fabric going behind it too. Faazila took the dress with a smile and walked back into the fitting room. She walked out a while later wearing the dress, her hair in a half updo, fringes out in the front slightly curled. Heeled pumps this time. She stood up on the podium again and she knew, like this time again, she and the others were not satisfied. Their nods in negative as they sighed, slumping back into their seats. But never forgot to click pictures to every dress she had tried on. It was just going to be with them. Never going to reach the men.

"Ms. Choi, sorry" she almost sobbed, turning to face the woman who was in her sixties.

She was tired. Today was not her day. Nine dresses and she had gotten nowhere. She let out an exhausted sigh as she slightly pulled at the long train. She still had to choose two more dresses and a hanbok for the pre-wedding photo shoot and another for the reception. Five dresses were too much, but who was she to complain when she was having a wedding that was way beyond her dreams and getting married to the love of her life.

"Zi, it's okay. You'll find your dress" Shreya smiled.

"I have the right dress for you" Ms. Choi smiled, walking away.

"We'll find your dress. We're not leaving this place without it" Ai, Kun's wife smiled.

"Come on girl, smile. It was not an easy thing for us either. Sooyoung literally switched three stores" Seri, Doyoung's wife laughed.

"I had to find the one" Sooyoung, Jeno's wife pouted "you get married only once! Everything has to be perfect!" she groaned, throwing her hands up in the air.

"True" Seri agreed.

"And the fact that most of us here got married at the span of those four years, like that was tedious as well. The men had to be there to set the dates and take part in their schedules as well. And if some of us got married with a gap of just a few months, we hosted our bachelorette and bachelor's party together. The only wedding we all couldn't be there for was, Mark and Shreya's since they got married with just their family's presence in Italy. It was a troubled time here at that time" Jie, Winwin's wife said.

"Sorry Shreya" she shook her head.

"It's okay. Sorry, we couldn't come to some of your weddings" Shreya smiled.

"Our marriages were literally like a whirlwind" Miyoung, Taeyong's wife laughed "it was such a blur. It went one after the other, that we didn't even have time to process. Our honeymoons, a mess because of the comebacks. So, we all had to wait till they got a break" she laughed again.

"It was a lesson well learnt. But I'm glad I had enough time" Genji, Renjun's wife smiled.

"127 members went on a hiatus just to go on a honeymoon. God!" Seri laughed.

"Where is Eunji?" Jiwoo, Taeil's wife asked.

"She was outside. She'll come in" Yu-Yan, Xiaojun's wife replied.

"You guys! I'm so glad you're all here! This means so much!" Faazila smiled, awarding them with flying kisses which they gladly accepted and shot some back to her.

"Here it is" Ms. Choi walked in "our newest collection. It has not been released yet. You're the first one to see. Try this one on. I'm confident with this one" the old woman smiled.

Faazila could feel her lips curve up into a smile as her fingers gently traced the fabric as far as she could reach. It was so soft that even the fluffy clouds could be put to shame. She knew it was going to be the one and heard the claps echo in her ear. But it all rested at the back of her head because all she could focus was on the dress. It was a voluminous princess lace gown with quite a long train behind her. The off shouldered sleeves that were intricately shaped into flowers. The bodice embroidered with flowers in fine silk threads as it continued down to the huge skirt and long train of fabric. Ms. Choi's assistant walked in with a chapel veil. Mind you, it was 108 inches. It was a plain one with little flower designs at the ends. Simple, yet classy.

"Yass! Go!" Yui cheered.

"We can't wait!" Sooyoung clapped.

Faazila walked in happily, more of relief coursing through her body. She slipped the dress on and her hair was neatly tied into a bun. A stone, floral veil comb was placed at her bun, little fringes put in the front making it look more like stray strands and the veil was attached as she was made to stand. A crown that matched the comb, sat proudly on her head. Her makeup that looked natural and flawless, she looked like royalty. Big pearl studs that proudly grabbed it's attention. Her heels that were in soft pink pastel colour that had flowers of  the same colour at the front and behind at the ankle. The heel had a spring like look. The look of leaves and vines creeping around a stalk. She walked out of the fitting room, breathing in a whoosh and she was sure she could hear all the gasps and oohs and aahs as she made her way to the podium. Loud cheers that she for sure knew had scared the children. Two assistants each held the veil and dress train up as she walked her way. She knew she was not dreaming, as the sound of the heels clicking the floor kept her in check. With a smile as bright as the day, she sure did shine as she stood there and slowly ran her fingers against the soft fabric and then looked up to see herself in the mirror in front of her. She did not want to turn around as she felt the girls straighten out and spread out the dress, it's train and the veil. She definitely was not seeing herself. She only saw a girl who was beautiful. Someone so happy, so radiant. A girl who was recklessly, hopelessly and passionately in love. The girl who was her man's sunshine. A happy girl who was going to marry the love of her life. She smiled with a small nod and the cheers roared through again. She had finally gotten her dress.

"This is the one!" they heard a voice.

Their heads snapped towards the voice. Dee stood there with Yoona, Faazila and Haechan's six month old daughter in her arms. The child was now fast asleep, her tiny head resting against Dee's neck as her tiny fists held on to her shirt tightly. All of them heaved a sigh of relief. Today had not been baby Lee's day as she had been cranky almost throughout. Now watching her rest peacefully in her aunt's arms made them all heave a sigh of relief.

"It was time you came" Jiwoo spoke.

"Eonnie, this little tot here" she sighed, pointing at the child "I walked all around the place and all that quieted her was the pigeons. And thank you for the baby food and milk bottle. That, and a lullaby worked" she replied.

"She's quiet and sleeping now. That's all that matters" Jenna smiled.

"NCT BABY!" she grinned, looking around at the bunch of children.

"Guys! This is the one! I'm so glad that you all are here to see" Faazila heaved a sigh of relief.

"Ma'am you still need to choose dresses for your pre-wedding photo shoot and the reception" Dee laughed, making sure to cover little Yoona's ears.

"Eunji-ah!" Ms. Choi smiled.

"Imo!" she grinned.

"Still need to shop for the bachelorette and for the bridesmaids" Yu-yan said.

"Let's finish up the rest tomorrow. The bride seems super exhausted" Ms. Choi chuckled.

"Ten dresses, no joke" Faazila wheezed out.

"There are girls who take days to find theirs. You at least found yours after trying on ten of them on the same day" she smiled.

"Let's go home" Faazila smiled, pulling the dress a little up as she stepped down from the podium.

She made her way to Dee and smiled running her fingers through her daughter's hair. She tapped her nose and walked back into the fitting room to get changed. Her phone vibrated as she was halfway through changing.

"Found your dress?" the text read.

It made her smile. He had been texting her nonstop and she had had no time to reply. All she wanted to focus was the dress. She could deal with her fiancé later.

"Yes!" she punched back a reply.

"Show me!" her phone buzzed.

"Nope! Against the rules" she replied.

"Come on!" she knew he was pouting at his phone now.

"Nope!" was her reply.

"How's Yoona?" the text read.

"She's good. Sleeping. See you at home. ;)" she texted.

"I'll be late.
Don't wait for me.
Love you ♥️" she read.

She sighed "I love you too" she punched back a reply and locked her phone.

She walked out and took Yoona into her arms. She smiled watching her baby push herself further into her warmth and snuggle comfortably. Feeling her baby's breath fan against her neck made her smile. She was so blessed to have her little miracle. She was not going to trade it for anything. They all left and prepared themselves mentally to come back to the same place again tomorrow.

"Take rest" Dee said "I won't be able to come tomorrow" she said.

"Why?" Faazila asked.

"Board meeting. And a shareholder meeting. It'll take time" she replied.

"Sad" Faazila pursed her lips.

"You know my size. Just pick one" she smiled.

"Bye" Faazila waved.

"Bye" she smiled and tapped on Yoona's nose, walking away.

Like said, the eighteen of them were back at the same store again and it seemed nothing like yesterday. It was quicker. Faazila picked a strapless white ball-gown with floating lace that had a voluminous long skirt and an A-line white tulle ball-gown with sweetheart neckline. The short sleeves with tulle ruffles for the pre-wedding photo shoot.

For the reception, she picked a princess white dress with tulle and long lace sleeves. The lace embroidery decorated the rounded neck and back with tattoo effect floral designs.

For the bridesmaids, off-white crepe mermaid dress with thin floral lace strips as sleeves and lace decorating the back with a fabulous tattoo effect. And for the maid of honour, who was her sister, she picked a white crepe dress with lace details around the shoulders and arms upto the elbow.

For the bachelorette, Faazila picked herself a maroon infinity wrap cocktail dress. For the others, the same design in black colour.

She and Haechan had both gone together to a studio run by a family for five generations in the morning, before meeting the women to have their measurements taken for the hanbok. Faazila picked a grey coloured material for the jacket and a dull rose coloured material for the skirt. Red, peach and dark green threaded medal accessory that blended with the jacket. Haechan picked the same grey colour for his shirt, brown for his jacket and a darker grey coloured material for the pant.

They still had to finalise the venue. They had two venues in hand and had to pick one. They and decided on a forest themed wedding since they were having a summer wedding. They had six more months to go. They were getting married exactly on Yoona's birthday. It was going to be her first birthday and they couldn't be any happier. It was a call for double celebration. After visiting both, they had decided to go with the first venue. It was a cedar tree forest that was filled with gravel close to the wedding altar and a small stage with wooden stalks there for the couple to have the the kind of arch they preferred. The best place to host one long, communal reception, tables winding through the woods.

"What's my little darling doing?" Haechan cooed as he walked into his daughter's nursery.

"Yoona-ah, my lovely daughter" he cooed again as he reached her little crib.

Little Yoona giggled and blew out raspberries as her hands and feet kicked up to get more attention of her father. She frowned when she saw that her father hadn't lifted her up in his arms already. Haechan smirked as he watched his daughter grow even more annoyed. She took after him by looks. But personality wise, it was her mother. Always had his one to one attention. Had him wrapped around their fingers. He bent down and took her tiny body into his arms. Her tiny fists grabbed onto his shirt tightly as her face was comfortably buried in his chest. He hummed in a low tone as he rocked and patted her back. He had been the happiest man when his Beary had told him that she was pregnant with his child.

One year and two months ago...

Haechan looked worried as he stood at the door, outside the bathroom. She has been looking sick for quite a while and she had refused to go to the hospital. And he blamed himself for not being there for her. His schedules, he wanted to walk out of them all to be there for her. To tend and take care of her. He cringed as he listened to her retching from the other side of the door. She was not letting him in and he wanted to break the door open.

"Beary?" he called out when he heard nothing.

No reply.

"Baby?" he called out again.

No reply.

"Faazi?" he called out, knocking the door.

No reply.

"Faazila!" he called out "I swear if you don't open, I'm going to break open the door" he bellowed.

He then breathed out in a whoosh when he heard the toilet flush and then the tap run seconds later. A minute later, the door opened to reveal his beautiful fiancé who looked back at him exhausted. She looked so pale as if the life had been sucked out of her. Water droplets that dripped down her face, soaking her shirt a little. She collapsed into his arms, unable to hold herself up on her feet.

"Beary, we need to go to the doctor" he said, helping her up on her feet.

"No!" she shook her head, hugging him.

"We have to!" he said.

"No!" she screamed "sit here, I'll come" she said, slowly pulling her weak body out the door.

"Do you want me to come?" he called out.

"Just shut up and sit right there" he heard her loud voice from the other bedroom.

What was she doing there? Before he could think of scenarios and possibilities, she walked back into the room with two boxes in her hands.

"What is this?" he asked.

"Open this one first" she gave him a weak smile and urged him to open the bigger box of the two.

He untangled the bow and opened the box for him to see something he had least expected. It was a board that had the words "BABY LEE ARRIVING SOON" written. Under that, a little onesie that had the words "Best Appa" written and cute little shoes and socks on the side. His shaky fingers dug further in to find a little frame of her sonogram. He could see a tiny little abnormal structure of the baby. Tiny head, hands and feet that looked like little buds in the middle of an empty space. And then next to it, a few of her different kind of pregnancy test sticks laid there. Ones that showed two lines, YES, + and the digital one that said PREGNANT. He just kept staring at them as he held onto the edges of the box. He felt her head rest on his bicep, just being silent.

"I didn't know that I'd be telling you like this. I wanted to tell you this over dinner, tomorrow" he heard her emotional voice.

"I thought I could hold it in till then" she chuckled, her voice shaky.

"You're pregnant?" he finally spoke, breaking out of his trance.

"Yes, I am" she replied.

He remained silent "what's wrong?" she asked, sitting up straight.

"You're not happy? You don't want a baby?" she asked, her voice trembling. She got off the bed, standing up to have a good look at him.

No reply.

"Well then mister, you must have been more careful with your willy. You and your insatiable.." her screaming came to a halt as his lips silenced her.

"You think I'm not happy?" he spoke, pulling away "baby, I'm way more than happy" he smiled, cupping her face in his hands.

"Then why didn't you say anything? You looked like you had seen a ghost" she sobbed.

"It's something that's so overwhelming. So raw. To have a child with the woman I love. To be a dad. To raise children with you. It just had my mind all fogged up" he smiled, pecking her nose.

"I thought you didn't want children" she groaned, burying her face in his chest.

"I do baby, I do" he chuckled, pulling her face so that she could see him.

"I'm way beyond happy. I just want to scream out to the world that I'm going to be a dad, but at the same time, I'm guilty that I couldn't be there with you when you found out. You were all alone and I'm so sorry" he whispered, resting his forehead against her's.

"It's okay. Only Jieun knows. And now, you. I can happily tell everyone now" she heaved a sigh of relief.

"The girls know I am hiding something" she said.

"Thank you so much for making me the luckiest man ever" he pulled her into his arms, hugging her tight.

"Thanks back" she smiled.

"Hi baby! I'm your dad. I love you so much! Thank you so much for choosing us as your parents" he smiled as his eyes welled up, tracing his fingers against her tummy.

"Hi Appa" she mimicked a baby voice that made them both laugh.

"How long has it been?" he asked.

"I'm ten weeks now. This little baba is two months old" she chuckled, holding her tummy.

"Two whole months? What had I been doing?" he asked, more to himself.

"Busy with schedules" she laughed.

"I'm so sorry baby" he sighed, looping his arms around her waist.

"Stop apologising. You have all the time now" she smiled, holding onto his waist.

"I love you" he smiled.

"I love you so much more" she grinned wide.

"Do you want to listen to the baby's heartbeat and see it wiggle?" she asked.

"Show me!" he nodded.

"Okay" she pulled her phone out "watch" she said, showing him the video.

It had been her first ultrasound, that was two weeks ago. He could hear Jieun's voice as she operated the machine excitedly. It was one of the nurses recording the video. The heartbeats so loud and rapid, his eyes went wide at it. He had never heard something like that in his entire life. He could see a little flicker and that was the tiny heart beating in such a tiny little body. 170 beats per minute was the heart rate which he heard was strong and perfect. His baby was super healthy. He saw little wiggles every now and then, he couldn't help but laugh. The measurements perfect and at the end, he heard both the girls scream. He felt jealous that Jieun was there. She was a doctor, but still it was not him with her and the pang of guilt hit his chest again. But from the next appointment, he was going to be there. For all of them. His hyungs had been there for their wives, he was going to be as well.

"Oh my god! That's real! It's real! That's so cute! So beautiful!" he whispered, eyes wide as ever, one hand cupping his mouth and the other that pulled at his hair.

"It is. Our baby is there" she smiled, watching him go crazy as seconds passed, trying to process it all at once.

"What do you want?" he asked.

"Love. Lots of love" she giggled, kissing his jaw.

"You still need to open the other box" she winked.

"Nothing matters now" he smirked, carrying her in his arms.

Her giggles filled the room as he laid her back on bed and they celebrated the news of the little miracle with happiness and love.

Lots of love.

..........

He smiled at the memory, rocking his daughter "girl you're my favourite" he sang, hugging her.

"What am I then?" he heard the voice he loved the most.

"You're both my favourite girls" he turned around to face his fiancé.

Faazila walked forward and ran her finger against her daughter's cute little plump cheek. She smiled watching her daughter babble and drool that covered Haechan's shirt.

"Good morning my little beauty" she smiled, kissing her head.

She looked up so see Haechan who was already staring down at her. She got on tip toes to peck his cheek and he bent down to kiss the crown of her head.

"Thank you so much for giving me Yoona, Beary" he said.

"Thank you too" she smiled, resting her head against his arm.

"You're going to be a talkative. Look at all that drool" she laughed.

"Talkative just like me" he said all proud.

"That, I agree to" she laughed.

"Are we going to finalise the wedding and bachelorette cake today? Have you decided on the bakery?" he asked.

"Yes, today" she smiled "it's obviously Dee's. Where else am I going to go?" she asked.

"Why do I sometimes forget nuna runs a bakery?" he chuckled.

"Your problem" she shrugged, taking Yoona in her arms.

"I'll pick you up in the afternoon. Bye" he pecked her lip.

"Bye princess" he kissed Yoona's head and walked out.

"Bye" she smiled, watching him walk further away.

Her attention was soon back to her daughter who had decided that it was the perfect moment to grab her long hair in her "please do not underestimate" strong tiny fists. She regretted not tying her hair and struggled to get the strands off of her baby's grip. She smiled, walking out of the nursery to feed her tiny sunshine some breakfast. Life had never been the same after having her and she was not complaining. She twirled her up in the air only to be awarded with those precious dimpled baby giggles.

She was living her best life.
