HAEUN
Jaemin didn't say anything but I could tell that my question might have ruined his mood a bit.
"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked the question." I sighed, fixing his jacket.
"No, no...it's..." He shook his head. "It's kinda got me thinking and now I realise...I regret a lot of things."
"Oh, boy." My hands rested right above his chest.
Jaemin gave me a half smile, before wrapping his fingers around my hands.
"Your hands are so cold." He frowned.
"Yeah, they are, no big deal." I withdrew my hands from his grip. "We were talking about you, Jaem."
He just shrugged. I stared at him with raised brows.
He then just sighed and immediately collapsed into my arms. It was all so sudden, that I almost lost my balance for a second.
"I'm sorry, I just need this." He mumbled, wrapping his arms around my neck.
"Mhm, I figured." I chuckled, holding onto his jacket for a few seconds before hugging him back.
I patted his back a little. I wasn't sure why we were hugging, but maybe it was because my question reminded him of something bad and he just didn't want to feel alone.
"Jaemin." I called out softly. "Tell me what you need."
"I need you to stop talking and stay like this." He chuckled.
"Ouch." I mumbled. "I thought you liked me yapping your ear off."
He pulled away slowly. "I do. I really do."
I turned to look at the Han river again. "Should we go back home?"
"Yeah, come on, I'll drop you." He smiled, patting my head.
We walked back to my apartment together, and I turned to look at him one last time.
"I had a lot of fun today." I smiled. "Wait- this does sound like we went on a date."
He threw his head back, laughing. "Don't tell Donghyuck. He'll get mad."
I laughed, tilting my head. "I'll see you tomorrow."
He nodded, and stepped closer to hug me, but I put my hand forward for him to shake. Don't ask me why I did that.
He noticed and put his hand forward, but by then I had opened my arms to hug him.
We both laughed awkwardly, as he finally wrapped his arms around me, and engulfed me.
I hugged him back, and patted his shoulder. "I should go."
He pulled away, "Yeah."
I watched him step back, and he waved at me, before turning around and walking away.
He turned around to look at me one last time, before he smiled and finally walked away.
I got into my apartment, and closed the door behind me. I leaned against the door and sighed deeply, trying to calm down my heart that seemed to be beating so hard, I was scared my neighbours could hear it.
I could not believe my luck.
I know I said that I have sworn off men, but God, this guy was making it really hard for me. How can someone be so charming and sweet?
