JAEMIN
It was 9 pm at night and I decided to walk Haeun home. Jeno said he'll go back to the dorms.
We walked in silence, but it was comfortable. She was looking up at the sky with a soft smile.
"The moon looks so pretty today." She smiled widely.
"It does." I chuckled, looking at her.
"How was your day today?" She stepped a bit closer to me, since it was getting chilly.
"Well, it was boring at first, but then the little gossip session we had at the cafe made it better." I chuckled, putting my hands in my pocket as a cold gust of wind blew.
"It's getting colder, isn't it?" She asked.
"It sure is." I smiled.
"Can I ask you something?" She looked at me. "It's weird but I just have to."
"Yeah, sure go ahead." I said.
"Can I just...hook your arm with mine?" She motioned something with her hands. "It's just that, I crave physical touch a bit too much, and I just get a bit too impulsive and I didn't want to cross any line."
I raised my brows and chuckled, "Yeah, sure."
She smiled before looping her arm around mine, while I kept my hand inside my pocket.
"My friends back in Japan got so annoyed every time I did this." She said, sighing.
"Your friends in Japan...you still keep in touch with them?" I asked.
"Some of them, yeah." She said.
"And how are you liking being back in Korea?" I asked.
"I'm loving it. It feels like being back at home." She smiled, gripping my arm tighter as a chilly wind blew.
"Have you visited the Han river at night?" I asked, lowkey enjoying the way her fingers wrapped around my bicep.
She shook her head.
"You wanna go right now?" I asked.
"We can?" Her eyes lit up. "It's near?"
"Walking distance." I smiled.
"Let's go!" She smiled widely.
I pulled her along with me.
"Can I say something weird?" I giggled. "Don't get weirded out."
"No, go ahead." She patted my arm. "I don't judge."
"This..." I pointed at us, "...this feels like a date."
There was silence for a first few seconds before she burst out laughing.
"It's actually so cute." She smiled widely.
"Is it, huh?" I chuckled, staring at her with a soft smile.
We walked up to the railings and stood by the Han river, watching the view. There was a comfortable silence between us as we just looked in front of us.
"Jaem?" She called out.
I looked at her, "Yeah?"
"What's your biggest regret?" She asked.
I was slightly taken aback by this question.
"Uh, I don't know...why?" I asked.
"I don't know." She shrugged. "I wanted to make a conversation."
She looked at me, and I was already looking at her. My expression had changed all of a sudden.
I wasn't smiling anymore. I don't really know what I was thinking.
"Are you okay?" She asked, softly.
