Happiness

He looked at the mirror once again, adjusting his tie for the countless times again. He bit his lower lips, god damn it he's so nervous. He's been waiting for this day for his whole life and he's sure that it's going to be a perfect day but he still wants to make sure that he won't be the one ruining it. But of course why would anyone ruin it.

He's wearing a well-made white in color tuxedo, the fabric is silky really comfortable. And there’s a black tie neatly tied hanging on his neck.

“Ah I'm so beautiful” he sighed at how beautiful he is while looking at the mirror in front him.

“Hey Oikawa are you ready yet? You're in there for a few century already! The ceremony is about to start!”

“That's so mean of you saying that! I've only been in here for a few hours only! I'm coming now alright”

He checked his style once again, making sure his hair is in perfect shape as well as his tie and his tuxedo. He walked out of the private room prepared by the church. And he smiled when saw the familiar messy, dark, curled hair.

“Woa you can actually look good in that” Mattsukawa, his bride's man gasped.

“Hey! I look good in everything please” He made a “I’m fabulous” face.

“Yeah yeah whatever, your mother is waiting for you”

By hearing that his beloved mother is waiting for him, he quickly walked towards the direction where his mother is.

She had beautiful chocolate hair just like Oikawa and a beautiful smile too. She looked so happy as soon as she saw her son in a tuxedo, making him much more handsome than usual.

“I'm so happy and proud of you, Tooru.”

“Mom… thank you…” all the words that had bottled up in his heart, he wanted to tell her all of it but as soon as he opens his mouth to speak, thank you was the only words left.

“Honey, I know there may be some relatives that just couldn't accept this, it's alright, just let them be. We aren't born to satisfy others, we're born to search and live our own life happily even if the whole world thinks you are wrong. I'm sure that your father is also proud and happy for you in heaven. Both of us love you, for who you are and all we wanted was you to be happy for the rest of your life together with the person you love, the person who can make you happy. And I am very grateful that you chose a great men as your partner.” His mother just know what he is thinking about, every single time.

“Mom… I… I love you so much” he tries his best to hold back his tears and hugged her tightly. She's always so wise, always leading him to a right path whenever he’s lost. He felt sorry for all the things he had done that hurted her, even so she's still there by his side no matter what happens and always encourage him with a warm smile on her face.

“No crying Tooru, let's go now. Hajime’s waiting” His mother gently holds his hand and started walking. He noticed that her hands were more rougher than they used to be, it must be all the houseworks she's been doing for a long time, alone.

They are now standing in front of the gigantic brown church door. Nervous is all he felt.

“You ready Tooru?”

“Oh god I'm so nervous mom”

“Don't worry, I’m here” The words she always says when Oikawa feels unsure, those words that make him feel safe.

She placed her palm on the door and together, they pushed it open. As the door opens, sounds of clapping can be heard, flower petals gladding. They walked on the red carpet, and at the end of the carpet stood the one he loved ever since young. He’s handsome as ever, standing there in his black tuxedo that Oikawa chose for him with that gentle smile which only Oikawa get to enjoy everyday.

As they walk past the guests seats, many familiar voices can be heard…

“This is what I told you Makki, he's stunning today”

“And so is Iwaizumi”

“True, so when will it be you guys turn?”

“What erm no we uh….”

“OoooOooooo The grand king is so handsome today!”

“Shut up Hinata you boke!”

“Oh this reminds me of the day we did this it's so beautiful Daichi”

“Yeah but you're more beautiful, Suga”

“Ooooo I wanna be the one walking on the red carpet Asahi-san!!”

“Uh yeah sure Noya…. Wait does that mean you'll marry me?”

"Oh no Asahi is going to faint!!? Someone do something!!"

Those are the friends who supported them all this while, he's grateful to have them even though some who were enemies back then and there’s some arguments in between but hey true friends stay for you even after all the up’s and down’s.

“Alright now, I'll pass Tooru to you, please take good care of him, Hajime”

“I will, don’t worry.”

Iwaizumi gently took Oikawa's hands into his, holding it tightly as they listen to the pastor.

“Well then, will you, Iwaizumi Hajime, take Oikawa Tooru as your husband and promise to cherish him no matter what and be together with him through thick and thin?”

“I do.” He smiled at Oikawa. It was the brightest he ever saw.

“And will you, Oikawa Tooru, take Iwaizumi Hajime as your husband and promise to cherish him no matter what and be together with him through thick and thin?”

“Of course I do!”

“Now I announce you both, a married couple. You may exchange rings and put them on each other's finger”

Iwaizumi took the ring he had prepared and slide it into Oikawa's finger and Oikawa did the same as well.

Then with a swift move, Iwaizumi pulled Oikawa into his embrace and kissed him passionately. Oikawa was shocked at first but then fell into the sweet kiss. The crowd went crazy as the two kissed.

Iwaizumi took the microphone and cleared his throat, he looked at Oikawa, who is his lover and now his husband and smiled.

“Hello everyone, thank you for coming to our wedding. As you know I'm a guy that who aren't good with using my words to express my feelings. But now I would like to say that I am a very very very lucky guy, probably the luckiest person on the world to have this charming person to be my partner. He's my world, my shining star, my pillar of strength, and my one and only out of this world dork.”

Oikawa began to tear up, he hugged Iwaizumi tightly. It's true that Iwaizumi is never good in using his words to express his feelings, his action speaks for him. Those gentle kisses, hugs that pull Oikawa close to him, playing with his hair softly, always caring about him in the way that no one could…… All of these, he love every single side of Iwaizumi, those sides of Iwaizumi that only he knows… these will be treasured by Oikawa for the rest of his life. Forever treasured in his heart.

“Aunty well I mean mom, thank you for bringing Tooru to this world, I promise that I'll take good care of him, I'll cherish him and love him with all my heart, you have my word.” Iwaizumi bowed at Oikawa's mother. His mother nodded while wiping her tears off. She's happy that Tooru found the person that will love him as much as she does or even more, and she's glad that person is Hajime.

“Hey you old man, your son got married today. He's so handsome in his tuxedo, just like you when we got married. He's happy, really happy. His husband, Iwaizumi Hajime, I'm sure you remember him when he's little. And hey I won the bet didn't I? From the day I saw them together, I'm sure they'll be together for the rest of their lifes. You don't need to worry about Tooru anymore, he got Hajime. We all missed you, wait for me, I'll probably join you after twenty years or so…” Oikawa's mother whispers. She stands in front of her husband's grave, the picture on his grave, his smile is like sunshine, this charming smile is the one that makes her fell for him. She do miss him very much but hey she's not alone even if he left her earlier. She got Tooru and now Hajime.

“Mother!” The familiar voice bring her back to reality. She turned around and saw her son along with his husband.

“Tooru, Hajime” she smiled. “I'm so mean aren't I? Today is a happy day where you two got married but I came here after the ceremony ended.”

“Mom, there's nothing bad about coming here and visit dad. See? We came too. I want to share my happiness with my old man” Oikawa pouted.

“That's right, aunty. There's no such thing as having a bad luck or so when you visit your beloved here after the wedding ceremony.”

“Hajime, how many times do I have to remind you to call me mom?” She smiled again.

The wind blowing gently, the sun begins to set. Three of them sat there, watching the beautiful sunset together.

“He sure chose a great place to be buried” Oikawa's mother closed her eyes, taking a trip down the memory line. The time where they first met, the time when he proposed to her, simple yet contained all of his love, the day when their beloved son was born, the times they had fun together as a family, the times when she see him in pain, and the last goodbye from him…

Before he closed his eyes, he handed her a piece of paper, a drawing of this place. “I want to lay down here. I'm sorry, I love you.”

She always thought that he's weird for choosing this place but now she understands. He love the sunset, he love watching the sunset with her and Tooru, so he chose this place, where they can watch it together again.

“Hey Tooru”

“Yes Iwa-chan?”

“You know you're Iwa-chan now, too”

“Oh gosh you're right…” Tooru dramatically gasped, making both Hajime and his mother to laugh.

“Iwaizumi Tooru, sounds great” Hajime laughs.

“Why not Oikawa Hajime then?” Tooru pouts

“Tooru, Iwaizumi Tooru sounds better” His mother smiles as the sun setted completely, stars became visible.

“See mom says so”

“Mom why”

The sound of their laughs echoed. They lay down on the soft grass on the hill, enjoying the view of the beautiful stars shining brightly. It was a wonderful day.

“We aren't born to satisfy others… mom this sounds familiar”

“I quoted it myself, I'm smart Tooru”

“No wait… Isn't this what dad used to say before?”

“Whoops you found out huh”

“Tooru…”

“What is it, Hajime?”

“I love you”

“Wow Iwa-chan is being extra cheesy today”

“Son, you're Iwa-chan too”

“Mom!”

That's right, we aren't born to satisfy the others. We are born to search our own ways to live, our own happiness. The true happiness can only be obtained by searching it yourself. One day, you will also find that rightful person in your life, I’m sure of it.
