"Did you know why sunflowers are called sunflowers boo?" Ali asked me habang binabaon yung buto ng sunflower sa lupa.

Malapit lapit lang sa view deck yung pwedeng taniman ng sunflower, buti nga tumila na yung ambon kaya minabuti naming bilisan itanim yun.

"Hmmm.. dahil yellow sila?"

Tinawanan lang ako ni Ali habang tinutuloy yung ginagawa niya.

"Silly" she mumbled.

E bakit ba kasi sunflower tawag sakanila kasi mukhang sun diba.

"It's because they follow the sun's path, from east to west everyday" she explained.

"So at times like this they're just waiting for it to rise again so they can go on with their lives once more"

Is she telling me na pareho sila nung sunflower?

"If I haven't told you boo, this is lolo's favorite flower" kwento niya.

"He discovered its beauty when he paid sa visit sa Ukraine for a business trip, kwento niya andami dami daw ganto doon.."

"He was amazed by how it followed the sun sa araw araw, pinagaralan niya yan. He made a small sunflower box sa backyard sa Batangas dati"

"It was really special for him, he even brought one home from Ukraine and inipit niya sa paborito niyang libro"

I observed how smart Ali's grandpa is sa mga kwento niya. Traditional bright man.

Ali sighed bago tumayo at pagpagin yung kamay niya.

She scoffed while still smiling.

I laughed at her silliness, she doesn't know how to take a landi seriously, laging may pambara e.

"If he did not choose to forgo the operation, maybe you could've met him" Ali said while looking at the sky.

Is that how her grandfather died?

I choose not to ask Ali about it since it's a sensitive topic, I want her to open it up herself, like this.

I looked at her showing her that I'm listening to whatevet she says.

"He was a healthy man.. but Lola was a health conscious, that's why they have regular check ups here and there.."

"Until he was diagnosed with CHD.. his siblings pushed him to get a transplant asap so he could live longer"

"But as you see.. it didn't do it's job properly"

"Nagkaron ng complications during the operation, they said they got the best doctor kasi doctor din yung sister niya so she knows.."

"If only hindi nalang niya nalaman.. hindi sana siya napilitan mag pa opera"

Is that why she doesn't want to have a check up, kaya ba binabalewala lang niya yung nararamdaman niya?

That if she did have health issues, mabuti nang hindi niya alam?

"The night before the operation sabi niya babalik siya, babalik siya kasi kayang kaya niya yun.."

"Na mas malakas pa siya sa kalabaw"

She smiled habang yumuko.

"If only I was a little bit older than I was back then, I could've done more"

I cupped her cheeks and smiled softly.

"It happened the way it should boo, someone once told me.. to not fret about the could haves, because if it should have, it would have.."

She kissed my forehead before smiling.

I was hugging her nang biglang bumuhos yung ulan.

"Oh shittt, anggaling naman tumaming"

Ali covered me with her jacket before we ran papunta sa kotse niya.

Hindi niya parin ako nakalimutang pagbuksan ng pinto.

"Arghh saglit lang nakisama" sabi niya pagkaupo sa driver's seat.

"Ayaw ko pa umuwi boo" I told her.

She smiled before turning on the music.

She removed her wet jacket and I caught a glimpse of her abs through her wet shirt.

Nilagay niya ito sa likod ng sasaktan at parang may inaabot pa sa back seat giving me a full view of her wonderfully carved body.

"Di mo naman sinabi saking batak ka boo hahaha"

She laughed bago umupo ng maayos.

"Parang di mo pa naman nakita" she said teasingly before using a paper towel to wipe her face.

Nanlaki ang nga mata ko, naalala ko nung mga sessions namin ng muay thai and boxing kasama Bri na nakaoversized shirts siya.

Pawisin si Ali kaya she'll get sweaty over the second round, everytime na nasa locker room na kami and she'll remove her shirt leaving her in  her sports bra and revealing her 11 line abs.

"So inaamin mo na tinitingnan mo nga" lalo niya pa akong inasar.

"What?" I asked startled.

"Ahh.. ipapakita lang?" I whispered.

She moved closer to me that our nose touched.

"You smell like perfect" I can feel her breath hitting my lips.

"B-boo.. anlapit mo ata-"

She crashed our lips together.

She kissed me passionately and I made sure to reciprocate every move.

The moment is getting too hot, buti nalang umuulan.

She continued to kiss me down to my neck pulling me closer to her hanggang makarating kami sa back seat.

She was on top of me caressing my waist while her tongue was tracing down my abnomen.

I couldn't stop a moan from escaping my mouth.

"A-ali.."

She hummed still not stopping.

She held my cheek and kissed me harder sa leeg.

I can feel her leaving marks down to my breasts.

I feel drugged, like I was swimming in cloud nine.

Her touch was everything I longed for, the way she treats my body makes me feel so treasured.

She went gentle but passionate, I felt how much she cared and loved me.

The car was filled with echoes of our moans and deel breathes, this was the first time she touched me like that.

"You didn't tell me you're such a good kisser" I teased her while we were driving back to her condo after the rain.

She chuckled.

We were laying down sa kama ni Ali, she's busy with her phone so I decided na magpost muna sa social media.

Nasa braso ako ni Ali trying to sleep when she talked.

"Am I not enough boo?"

"Huh? what are you saying?" ano nnaman kayang pumasok sa isip niya.

"Cause that only means hindi na enough kung anong meron tayo para ipaglaban.."

"We fight Ali.. we do, we hurt each other, we get disappointed, frustrated.."

"But we keep on going, which only proves na mas pipiliin parin nating maging anjan para sa isa't isa rather than giving up"

She smiled softly.

"Pag dumating yung araw na pakiramdam mo hindi na sapat yung meron tayo to keep on going.."

I looked at her confused.

"Please let me know.."

"You'll always be enough boo" I assured her.

She hugged me and I was intoxicated with her smell.

Was she kidding kanina, SHE smells like perfect.

We were disturbed when Ali's phone rang.

I watched her answer it bago umupo sa gilid ng kama.

"Hello Ave?"
