How did you feel when you were informed that you won the song inspiration contest?

“Reminisce” was one of the first stories that I actually felt proud of after completion, so winning the song inspiration contest made me feel like the progress I saw in my writing was real.

Which song inspired your story?

The short story was inspired by John Mayer’s “You’re Gonna Live Forever in Me.”

How do you handle harsh criticism?

As long as it is criticism, I like to think that there will always be a takeaway that will help me improve. Of course, I can still get self-conscious about my work when the response isn’t what I had hoped for.

Have you had any challenges so far, and how do you manage them?

My biggest hurdle has always been time management. Probably because I don’t manage my time...

State one memorable quote from your story?

“What memory would you like to re-live?”

I swear, it’s more meaningful with context.
