The Vampire genre covers the spectrum of literary work concerned principally with the subject of vampires. The Werewolf genre denotes the portrayal of  and other  man/woman-beasts. Werewolf literature includes folklore, legend, saga, fairytales, Gothic and horror fiction, fantasy fiction, and poetry. Such stories may be supernatural, symbolic or allegorical. Werewolf fiction is an exceptionally diverse genre, with ancient folkloric roots and manifold modern re-interpretations. While the Paranormal genre focuses more on ghosts and the supernatural, the Vampire and Werewolf genres cover a blanket of genres where the characters are vampires or werewolves. Typically, these stories tend to include both vampires and werewolves, which is why we've combined them into the same genre.
