Chapter 2: ~The plane incident~

Lui sighed impatiently as he waited at the airport. His friend was standing quietly beside him.
"Lui are you sure you want to go?" Gabe asked. The flame haired blader rolled his eyes. "That is a stupid question! Of course I want to go! It will get me as far away from the hell hole I call my home...." He trailed off, leaving his friend confused and concerned. "Lui, is there something going on with your family?" A scared shock rippled through the flame haired blader's eyes. Then he was silent the entire way to the plane. As he took one last look at Gabe, he snorted. Not realizing that this might be the very last time he saw him. He got onto the plane and found his seat. Then, Lui watched as other passengers walked into the plane. Then he saw him. The albino hair, the red eyes. Lui stood up and set his hair on full flame, causing everyone to look at him.

"Shu Kurenai!" He spat. The albino glared at him. "Lui Shirosagi." He replied. "What are you doing here?" Lui asked, distan dripping in his voice.
Shu narrowed his eyes, his scar glowing red. "I could ask you the same thing...." He said. Lui smirked. "Well as a matter of fact, I got in invited for a vacation~" He said. Shu blinked. "I did too..." He mumbled. Lui sat back down, muttering. Shu sat across from him. "Hello passengers! The plane will be lifting off momentarily! Enjoy your flight!" Shu heard a lady's voice over the speakers. He could feel Lui glaring at him. His Violet eyes burning into his skull.

"Just because you're coming with me doesn't mean we're now magically friends!" Lui snapped. Shu rolled his eyes. "Ya well the feelings Mutual!" He snapped back. "God why are you such a pain In the ass..." Shu mumbled. He felt the plane take flight.

3 long hours into their flight, Lui began taunting the albino. He threw small objects at him. "Fuck, Lui! Will you stop?!" Shu snapped. Lui chuckled.
"How about...no!" He threw another rock at the albino. Shu sighed and caught the rock. "Enough." He said. Lui rolled his eyes and mumbled angrily.

There was a short, blissful silence. Most of the plane was asleep. Then, the plane rocked. And faltered. Shu sighed as he woke up. He looked out the window, and he almost shrieked in terror when he saw what happened. The podded engines on the wings, had burst into flames. Shocked gasps echoed around the plane. Then a panicked shriek. And terrified screams. The plane was tilting down. "Attention passengers! We will need to make an emergency landing as the plane has caught on- AHHH!"

Shu heard the sound of a knife slicing into skin over the speakers. A tall man holding a bloody butchers knife in his hand walked out of the cockpit. The plane went silent. "Wow...What an idiot of a pilot you have if he let me in! A murderer? Stupid!" The man said slyly. He looked at the sea of terrified passengers. "Well would you look at that! We're going down!"

And with that the plane began to plummet down at rapid speed. Shu shrieked, as did everyone else. He clung onto the seat in front of him as the plane began to rip apart. People were flung around. Blood splattered the walls. Shu flinched when he saw someone's baby be whipped violently to the back of the plane and smash into the wall. It all happened so fast. The plane smashed into the water. Instantly shattering all windows and flooding the plane. The watery abyss was closing in. Shu floated to the top of the sinking plane, trying to breathe in what little air was left.

Soon it felt like it was no use. The water was at his neck. He'd die if he didn't swim. Shu never told anyone, but he was a rather weak swimmer, only taking one lesson. The albino kicked feebly in the churning white water. He gulped in a long breath of air and plunged underwater. The albino blinked open his eyes, seeing nothing but a murky, blurred sight of the plane. Lifeless bodies bobbed around in the salty ocean water, causing Shu to fight the urge to scream in fear. He swam upwards, through the top of the plane, and towards the surface. He shot upwards as fast as he could, fearing his lungs would burst with the prolonged absence of oxygen. Just before he was about to lose consciousness, Shu's head broke the surface, and he took long gasping breaths.

He looked around him, moving his arms to stay afloat, but he could see no other heads popping out. Only bodies, blood, and debris. The albino felt lost. Alone in a sea of death. Am I the only survivor? I feel light headed... He turned to look behind him, and what he saw almost made him faint from relief. It was an island, a gigantic island. His crimson eyes lit up with delight, and he swam over to the vast landmass. It took him about 10 minutes, and by the time he felt sand under his fingers, he felt exhausted. Shu hulled the rest of his body out of the sea water and collapsed onto his stomach, panting. He laid his face into the warm sand, only to immediately gag on the harsh stench of blood.

Shu lifted his head to see he had rested in a small spot of blood. About the size of a tennis ball. He blinked, then looked farther to see smaller spots of blood; each about the size of a quarter, leading up the beach to a palm tree. He slowly scrambled up and tried to follow the trail of deep red spots. That's when Shu felt a stabbing pain in his right foot. He winced, and limped the rest of the way to the palm tree. I probably twisted my ankle when we crashed. I hope there's some sort of medical help on this island. He paused when he heard a pained groan. The albino reached the tree, and gasped in surprise when he saw who was sitting agenst it. "Oh my god Lui?! What happened?!" Shu yelped, crouching down to the injured blader.

It wasn't the fact that it was Lui who was hurt, it was the extent of the injury that had Shu worried. Lui had a huge chunk of glass stuck through his torso, and every time he exhaled a stream of blood squirted out of the wound. His breathing was shallow, and Lui could barley keep his eyes open. "K-kurenai...Why a-are you here?" He whispered, gasping in pain as the glass moved when he spoke. "After the plane crashed I swam up to the surface, then I saw the Island. Are you alright?" Lui groaned, fighting the urge to cry. "D-do I look alright to you?" He spat, realizing that he was now shaking uncontrollably. He started numbly at Shu, his eyes had a clouded over look, like the flame haired blader couldn't actually see him. "W-when the plane h-hit the water......I was launched out of m-my seat and crashed through a window. ...b-because of the water presser the w-window didn't shatter. I-Instead it snapped clean I-in two. One h-half went through my stomach...I barely made it to the beach..." Before Lui finished speaking, his eyes fluttered closed and his head leaned sideways. He passed out from the pain.

Shu's hatred for the flame haired blader immediately disappeared. All he knew now was he had to keep Lui alive. Without thinking, he slowly unwrapped Lui's scarf from around his neck and padded it into the wound, trying to keep the massive shard stable so he could lift him up. Then Shu dug one arm beneath Lui's legs, the other under his neck, and slowly lifted him off the ground. Shu looked off into the forest in front of him. Please...please someone else be in there. I can't let him die.
