It was a bright and sunny day, apparently Apollo had to be in a good mood for the sun to be shining bright and warm. Not a cloud to be seen, which also meant Zeus was in a pretty good mood too. The birds were chirping in the trees, butterflies and bees occasionally buzzed by, looking for flowers to pollinate.

People were going about their business as usual, talking on phones or to others. Couples holding hands and being romantic. Kids were either horsing around or being obedient and parents doing some shopping. Street vendors were at every corner, selling food or things to buy. The occasional cop car would drive by, followed maybe by a firetruck. Dogs barked at other people or inanimate objects.

Stephone was chilling at a local cafe, she was visiting an old childhood friend of hers, that she hadn't seen in like forever. She kept glancing at her phone, that had been monster proofed by Athena, Hecate and Hephaestus kids, after they were tired of Iris messages not always working to contact demigods that had left the camp. Yes it still had many, many glitches, she just hoped it would catch on fire or explode. She was with being the tester of the phone.

She was licking on an half melted vanilla ice cream cone, waiting for over an hour for them to show up. She was so happy to spend some time with her friend. Plus they could talk and eat after all food is life. She was so happy she had got in contact with her after a long time. She never thought she would see her again. "Come on..." She mumbled looking around.

She softly bit her then she picked up her phone as soon as it buzzed. Her smile soon turned into a frown and read the text. She quickly texted back and slowly set the phone down on the table. Well, that wasn't what she was expecting. She ran her had through her hair as she looked at her half melted ice cream.

"Well, I should have known." She said, giving a long heavy sigh. She rested her elbow on the table, then rested her cheek in her hand. She licked up the ice cream dripping down the side of her cone. Stood up, as usually. She should have known other things were more important than her, because that was how it was always.
