Manvi woke up in the evening as she was
feeling thirsty. She got off her bed and look
out of the window. It was drizzling outside.
She came out of her room and peeped in
MaNan's room as it was not locked but she
saw them sleeping peacefully. She quietly
came down and walked towards the kitchen.
She was about to drink water from the
dining table when she saw something white
in the garden from the kitchen window. She
walked towards the garden. And she again
got a glimpse of that white thing it jumped
in one of the bush.
"What is this?"she thought sucking her
thumb confusingly. "I think mjy check karna
chye..!!"She again thought wisely and
walked towards that bush now it was
raining heavily and she drenched in the
rain. She kneeled on the floor and with her
tiny hands she shoved the bush away and
the white thing in front of her made her
gasp once. She was taken aback for a second.
It was a small baby milky white rabbit it too
was all drenched in rain and was shivering
badly. It's were red and glittering in the
dim light of the evening.
"Haww..!! Laabitt..!!(Rabbit)..!! What ale
(are) you doing hele(here)? Tmhly(tmhry)
Papa Mama kahan hain?" She asked sadly.
"What to do? Mano maybe usy bhooki lagi
ho? Haan? And usy thand bhilag lagi hai...!!
But Mama..! Ohooo Mama ko pta ni chaly
ga..!! I will hide him..!!"Manvi talked to
herself. As all the soil was ruining her pink
polka dot pajams and shirt but who cares
she gently picked up the little one in her tiny
hands and run inside. She quickly grabbed a
kitchen towel which was to her luck
accidentally fell on the floor by Nandini or
else it was impossible for Manvi to reach it.
She wrapped the rabbit in it and tried to dry
him although she herself was drenched.
"Tum paleshan ni ho labbit(tum preshan ni
ho rabbit)..!! You will be fine soon..!!"She
kept rubbing his body with the towel and
soon the body temperature of rabbit came to
normal. Manvi smiled. It seems rabbit too
liked Manvi it snuggled in Manvi's arms.
"Ale you hungly?(are you hungry)? Cookies
khayen..?"She asked the rabbit and it just
kept sniffing it's nose. "What should I call
you? Smurfy? Ok..!! So lets eat cookies
Smurfy..!!"Manvi herself suggested it's
name. With one hand she held smurfy and
with other hand she tried to reach the
cookies jar which was placed on the dining
table. She tried to held the jar in one hand
but the jar was too much big for her so to
her bad luck the jar fell on the floor and
with a large bang it shattered in pieces.
Manvi's eyes widened.
"Haww..!! Aiyappa..!! Smurfy..!! Jal(jar) toot
dya(gya)..!! Mama nahi choolain(choorain)
ge..!"She said in a panicking tone but smurfy
didn't care about Mama's "dant" and he
jumped off her hand and started
munching one of the cookie. Manvi was in a
fix now what to do? Suddenly she heard the
footsteps. She quickly peeped from the
kitchen door and saw Manik coming
towards the kitchen. She gulped her sliva.
"Aiyappa..!! Smurfy..!! Papa is coming..!!
Chalo..!!"She picked up Smurfy and locked it
in an almost empty cabinet it had only few
utensils in it and it was in her range .she
herself stood in front of it trying her best to
act normal although due to fear she was
breathing heavily meanwhile Manik entered
the kitchen.

Manik was sleeping holding Nandini close to
him. Suddenly a sound disturbed his sleep.
He opened his eyes and look at Nandini she
was still sleeping. He gently adjusted her
head on the pillow and sneaked out of the
bed. He walked out of the room and look in
Manvi's room she was not in her room.
"Manvi kahan chali gai?"Manik murmured to
himself and came downstairs. He heard
noise in the kitchen. So he walked towards
it. He entered the kitchen and saw the
cookie jar broken on the floor and Manvi
was standing with a fake smile on her face
in front of a cabinet. Manik with in a second
recognized that something was fishy.
Moreover Manvi was all drenched. He
walked towards her and sat kneeled in front
of her.
"Baby..!! Why are you all drenched? Ap
barish main q gye?"Manik asked wiping her
wet face with his fingers.
"Wo Papa..!! Main..!!"Manvi was trying to
figure out some excuse. "Meli na bowl bahal
galden main gil gai the(meri ball garden
main gir gai the)"She lied and again faked a
smile.
"Hmm..!! Baby you are not good
at lieing just like your Mama..!!"Manik said
in a serious tone. He was sure Manvi was
hiding something. "What are you
hiding?"Manik asked and Manvi's eyes
popped out in horror.
"Papa ko kesy pta chala..!! Mano Papa ko
bta day maybe he will help you?" she
thought raising her eyebrow and then she
nodded to herself.
'Ok..!! I will tell you..!! But ap plomish
(promise) kalo kay usy ghal(ghar) say ni
nikalo gay..!!"She said in an innocent but
sad tone.
"Kis ko?"Manik asked in a surprising tone.
"Smurfy ko..!!"Manvi said casually.
"Ab ya smurfy kon hai Mano?"Manik asked
in a confusing tone and suddenly they heard
a loud sound from the cabinet in
which smurfy was. Manik look at Manvi and
she bit her tongue between her teeth.
"Manvi Malhotra..!! Kya chal raha
hai?"Manik asked with tongue in cheek.
Manvi look down and she quietly opened the
cabinet and Manik saw the little one. He
smiled at Manvi she was looking down he
instantly understood the situation. Manik
picked up Smurfy in his one hand and with
his other hand he picked up Manvi.
"Papa..!! Please..!! Smurfy ko hamry sth
rehny do?"She pleaded as Manik was now
walking out of the kitchen.Suddenly Nandini
came down stairs and look at them. She look
at smurfy and smiled.
"Ya kahan say aya?" Nandini asked patting
his head. Manvi smiled that means her
Mama liked Smurfy.
"Ya tou Manvi he btaye ge?"Manik said
smilingly and walked towards Manv's room
Nandini followed him. Manvi became happy
as her Mama Papa didn't scolded her. She
very proudly told MaNan that how she
rescued Smurfy. Nandini changed Manvi's
clothes meanwhile Manik washed Smurfy
with an anti-bacterial soap so Smurfy's
germs don't do any harm to his daughter.
Then with a hair dryer he slowly dried
Smurfy and after that he handed over
smurfy to Manvi.
"Papa..!! Myny theek kiya na Smurfy ko
ghaal(ghar) la kay..!!"Manvi asked happily as
she was sitting in Manik's lap and Smurfy
was in her lap.
"Bilkul theek kiya princess..!!"Manik said
lovingly kissing her hair and she smiled
widely.
"Papa..!! Granny kahan hain?"Suddenly
Manvi asked and Manik became surprised.
"Jaan..!! Granny ab nahi ayen ge..!! Ap
preshan nahi ho..!!"Manik said calmly.
"But Papa..!! Family tou granny kay without
incomplete hai..!!"Manik said looking at
Manik's face He became confused what to
tell Manvi. She was so innocent so naive.
Luckily Nandini was not in the room.
"Hmm..!! Ok we will talk about it
tomorrow..!! Abhi
ap mjy ya btaoa kay dinner may kya khana
hai?"Manik tried to divert the topic and he
succeeded Manvi started talking to him
about other things. Suddenly Manik's cell
phone buzzed. Manik made Manvi sit on her
bed and excused himself for the call.
"Hello..!!"Manik said in an attitude as it was
his PA on other side.
"Good Evening Sir..!!"He heard PA's
trembling voice.
"Tum ny is wkt mjy good
evening kehny kay liye phone kiya hai?
Kaam ki baat karo..!!"Manik said angrily.
"S-Sor-Sorry S-Sir..!! Wo-Wo actually
Mr.Singhania has to leave urgently
tonight..!! S-So the meeting can't be held
tomorrow..!! You have to attend in
now..!!"PA was hell scared and hearing this
Manik frowned.
"What the hell..!"Manik shouted angrily.
"S-Sorry Sir..!! But it's imp-important..!!"He
again fumbled. Manik knew it was a very
important meeting and he had to attend
it."So Sir ar-are y-you com-ming?"PA again
asked.
"Hmmm..!! Ok I will be there..!!"Manik
finally said and hung up the call. He went
back in Manvi's room and the sight was
damn cute. Nandini had a blindfold on her
eyes and she was trying to catch Manvi.
Manvi was running here and there while
Smurfy was busy in exploring Manvi's toys.
When Manvi saw Manik she run towards
him and hide behind her.
"Uffoo Mano..!! Where are you?"Nandini
asked frustratedly and bumped into Manik.
She immediately took off the blindfold and
Manik smiled.
"Mama haal(haar) gai..!! Mano jeet
gai..!!"Manvi shouted happily and Manik
picked her up in his arms. After kissing her
madly he started.
"Acha..!! There is an urgent meeting at
office..!! So I have to go now..!! Manvi ko
dinner karwa daina aur khud bhi kar
laina..!!"Manik said to Nandini. Hearing that
he was leaving Nandini and Manvi became
sad. Manik noticed it and took Nandini in a
side hug. "Come on my beauties..!! I will be
back soon..!!"Manik said smilingly. Both
nodded sadly.
"Chalo Nandini mery zara kapry nikaal
do..!!"Manik said to Nandini and she left.
Manik engaged Manvi with her toys and
Smurfy. He himself run towards his room.
Nandini was busy in arranging his clothes.
He took her in a back hug and placed his
chin on her shoulder.
"What happened?"Manik asked and nuzzled
his face in her neck.
"Mani..!! Jana zarori hai?"Nandini asked
ruffling his hair.
"Haan Mani ki jaan..!! Zarori hai..!! And I
will be back na two or three
hours..!! Dkho abhi it's 7 na I will be back at
10..!!"Manik said lovingly.
"I wish kay main har wkt tmhry pass reh
skti..!! Har wakt..!! I don't want you to get
away from my sight..!! Not even for a
second..!! Mjy bohat dar lagta hai Mani..!!
In chaar saloon ki dori nay mjy insecure
bna diya hai..!!"She said sadly as tears
brimmed in her eyes making Manik restless.
"Shhh..!! I promise..!! I won't leave you
alone..!! Please jaan don't cry..!!"Manik said
lovingly and wiped her tears. Nandini fused
her lips with his and he readily gave in.
Both kissed each other entiwing theirs
hands,feeling each other close..! They broke
gasping for oxygen. Then Manik planted a
kiss on her forehead. Nandini hugged him
tightly and he hugged her back.
"Ab main jaoan?"Manik asked lovingly and
she smilingly broke the hug. Soon Manik get
ready. He came to Manvi's room to wish her
good night as he knew she will be sleeping
when he will come back.
"Bye Papa ki jaan..!! Good night..!! Dinner
zaroor kar laina..!!"Manik kneeled in front
of her as she was busy in arranging her doll
house which was messed up by smurfy. He
kissed her cheeks one by one and then
planted a kiss on her forehead.
"Bye bye Papa..!! Besshht of lcuk..!!"She too
exclaimed and gave him a good luck kiss.
Nandini was watching all this standing in
the door. Then after exchanging a lots of
kisses Manik got up from Manvi to leave. He
came out of her room with Nandini. He held
her hand and came down stairs.
"Mani..!! Bohat carefully drive krna..!! Look
at the storm..!!"Nandini said worriedly.
"Ohh God Nandini..!! Main bacha nahi
hoon..!!"Manik said naughtily.
"Haan haan..!! Pta hai..!!"She said pulling his
cheek. He kissed her forehead and she
kissed his cheek. He sat in his car and after
waving a goodbye Manik left. Nandini came
back to Manvi's room to take her for a
dinner.
