Flutters
With Mark sitting in the higher seats in his lecture class, he had a great view of everything and everyone. He was able to see the tops of their head or even what they're searching online when the professor nags and goes on about his day. Nobody was in the position to care. Even Mark himself dozed off in class a few times because of the professor's boring stories. At least make it a little more entertaining.
But today was different. He felt like as if the room had a bright aura for some god damn reason. Everything seemed to be the same. Same professor in a grey blazer. Same sets of students. Same occasionally sleeps surrounding him. However, the positively mysterious atmosphere was not enough to keep him awake. The voice of the professor seemed to faded away in the distance. But then he made a loud sigh which caused Mark to be half aware of what was happening.
"Who here enjoys having dreams?", he asked out of the blues.
Silence.
"I do", a voice called out softly. So soft but it was clear enough in Mark's ears.
Mark then shot his eyes wide open and scanned the room. The looked from left to right repetitively until he spotted a boy with a brown-red hair sitting on his far right in the third row. His voice was way too familiar to be ignored but his hair colour was different to the boy from the convenient store and dream boy.
When class was dismissed, Mark had his eyes glued in the boy who claimed to "enjoy having dreams" and followed him out the door from behind.
His steps got faster and faster, trying to dodge the crowd to avoid losing him out of his sight. Mark was a meter behind the boy. He took his courage and reached the boy's right shoulder. And he turned around.
Mark didn't say anything, but his smile just grew wider and wider. The other was in shock for a moment then a smile crept on his face causing him to scratch the back of his nape in shyness.
"New hair Haechan?", Mark ruffled Donghyuck's hair. However, Donghyuck was a little hesitant in responding because he remembered that he had introduced himself as 'Haechan' to the older.
"Yeah, I thought the red was a little vibrant. Needed to tone it down"
"Ohh, I see. But it really made you stand out though"
Donghyuck just smiled.
"Oh, I'm not saying that you don't already"
Mark cursed to himself for coming off a little flirtatious.
"What are you saying?", Donghyuck laughed.
"Uh- nothing. So we're in the same class? Same neighbour hood"
"Oh you're in my class?", he gasp. "The professor is so damn boring right? I just wanted to shut his mouth up! All he talks about is how his wife doesn't make him chocolate cake. It has been a week already!", before Donghyuck knew it, he blew up. He wasn't apologetic about it though. The truth just had to be said.
Mark enjoyed learning the new personalities of Donghyuck much rather than what he was meant to be studying. He thought maybe the reason why he moved to Korea isn't just for an international career but maybe something more. It was too soon to figure out what it was.
Mark gestured to walk around with his head, and so they did.

Mark's pov
I like where this relationship is going. Not romantically but friendship wise. His eyes seemed to be even brighter than the other night. The guy is a little too quiet for my liking but who am I to blame? He probably thinks that I'm some stalker but in all honesty it's just coincidence and I, myself, was curious.
"You enjoy having dreams?", I started.
"Yeah, don't you? It's so fascinating...", he scanned my eyes a little too long. At that moment, I felt the electrifying sting shot in my eye. I closed my eyes and groaned softly. But when I opened my eyes his too was shut as he winced in pain. Strange.
"Ah, stupid summer bugs ain't it?", I swatted the flying insects in the air.
"Yeah, I love summer though"
"I can see that", I smiled.
"W-what do you mean?"
Haechan was different. He's no ordinary guy. He likes feminine things. Not that I'm against it. It's new and interesting.
"You're like glowing... and... bronzed... permanently"
"It's makeup stupid", he glared at me then smiled.
Ah right. Makeup. It really does enhances his features, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't pleasing to look at.
"Pretty isn't it?", he fluttered his eyes while he was slightly grabbing onto my arm.
"Pfft, no. What?", I shrugged him off.
"You're not any better"
"Didn't need your approval"
I side eyed the boy and he rolled his eyes at me.
"You have something on your face..."
"Where? Here?", he touched the right side of his face.
"No, on the left"
"Here?", he touched the right side of his face getting closer to the little eyelash fall out but not close enough.
I reached my hand towards his face, he hesitantly moved backwards but soon enough allowed me to remove the subject. My fingers hovered around his left cheek gently before removing the eyelash that was coated with a thin layer of mascara. My eyes traced from one mole to another forming a constellation of stars.
Our eyes met once again as our bodies were so close to one another. The only thing that was between our lips was my index finger with his eyelash.
"Make a wish", I whispered.
Donghyuck's pov
To find true love again...
I blew on the on one of my "detached feathers", sending it away into the air as well as my breath on his lips.
I looked past Mark's shoulders and I saw Jaeno around the corner on his phone waiting for me. Ah shit. I forgot that I was meant to be meeting up with him after class.
My phone buzzed in my pocket and I took it out and received a message from him saying that he was waiting for me. As expected.
"I- uh- I have to go!"
I panicked and pushed him to the side and running the the opposite direction to where Jaeno was standing, so i could make a full circle to meet him without having Mark to see.
"Wait!", he shouted.
Before he could say anything further. I was already around the other end of the corner.
Why did I hide it from Mark though? I could've just told him but I didn't.
----
Sitting across Jaeno in this cozy cafe, I realised that my feelings towards the man who was sitting infront of me did not correspond the same way like the cafe did.
I started to fiddling my hands in the pockets of my jacket and it was found to be empty. Fuck. I dropped my lipstick.
