I am writing this story to participate in NightHooves's writing contest.

To take part in the contest you have to choose a horse from their story "Travelers: The Torn Lands" and create a story about them. It can be anything from an adventure story to a background story.

With that said, I want to admit I do not own any characters in this story. Even the characters I make up for the story (such as Sun Leap's parents: Stone Star and Bird Mane) I relinquish ownership of them and offer them to NightHooves since this is a story based off of theirs.

Also fair warning, this story is going to be pretty short so don't expect it to reach 15 chapters.
