Chapter 1

Oh god *sweats* Oh god this book's name sounds so much like Pokemon Sun and Moon. YEET I SHALL TRY MY BEST, PEOPLE. SO SORRY. ÚwÙ btw, that's Solarkit but with a longer tail :D

Solarkit's P.O.V.

Solarkit narrowed his eyes at his sister sleeping beside him. He huffed before turning and standing up, shaking up bits of moss from his pelt. His bright green eyes shone from the morning light seeping into the nursery entrance. Solarkit grinned. Today is a brand new day. Solarkit sighed happily before climbing out of the den. He perked up his ears, excited.

Solarkit and Lunarkit seemed to have opposite personality, despite them being siblings. Solarkit was eager, always excited and ready to go on an adventure, or play pranks on cats. He's talkative and is always the cat to take the first step. Lunarkit, on the other hand, is quite shy, but observant. She's quiet and only social when it is mandatory.

Solarkit bounced around camp the whole, diving into the fresh-kill pile, getting stuck in a hole, and being scolded at the medicine cat for messing up his herb-piles. Solarkit's heart swelled at the mere thought of how the sun was shining brightly, the sky clear and cats busy. He stopped to peek at the nursery. Lunarkit was awake already, her blue eyes and white pelt standing out. However, she stood in the dark by herself, being shy and anti-social. Solarkit pouted. Why is she always outside and awake when I woke up in midnight to go to the dirtplace? What does she like about the quiet camp, the eerie atmosphere, and the dark night-? The sun is way more beautiful than the moon, anyways. He thought. Sure, he'd very much like to interact and play with his sister, but they're just so different, that they don't seem to have much to talk about. And even when they have, Lunarkit always kills the conversation with short and straightforward replies before moving away to a quieter place.

It wasn't long before Solarkit encountered one of the warriors he liked most in Pineclan : Sparrowstorm. Sparrowstorm blinked at Solarkit before grinning. "Well, well, if it isn't Solarstar." He smiled warmly. "What kind of mischief are you up to again, hmm?" Solarkit giggled. "Oh, the usual, my loyal deputy." He waved his tail. Sparrowstorm raised as eyebrow. "What, may I ask?" Solarkit grinned. "No, unless you want to get involved in it." Sparrowstorm pretended to look frightened. "Oh, no, Solarstar, I'm sorry. I need to go on a patrol." He winked at Solarkit before padding over to another warrior Solarkit likes, Feathermist.

Solarkit moved on. All the afternoon, he played, listening to elders talk about the legends of how the sun came to be, annoying Feathermist and Sparrowstorm once they got back from patrol (even though they laughed it off and even taught Solarkit a few hunting moves), and even further annoying the medicine cat, Lichenpool. It was evening before he knew it, and Solarkit suddenly felt exhausted as he flopped down on his nest. Lunarkit, however, seemed to gain more and more energy as the sky gets darker and the moon rises higher. Her blue eyes shined, and she moved out of her spot in the corner. Solarkit and Lunarkit's mother, Mapleshine started grooming the tired Solarkit staring at Lunarkit. At the soft grooming of his fur, Solarkit's eyes drooped more and more until he drifted off into a deep sleep.

Whoa, guess I'm having inspiration time.
