Serena's POV

'No! I can't lose another one!' I gritted my teeth in anger.

But wait.

Another one?

Did this happen before? Wait no it can't be-but why did I-no this isn't the time to ponder! I need to find Ash.

I look behind me and saw the frightened youngsters.

"A-Are we gonna be okay?" One of then asked in fear.

I close my eyes and took a deep breath. I need to stay calm, especially now. I open my eyes once more and beamed a smile at them, even if it was a little bit forced upon.

"Yes! As long as I'm here, we'll be okay. For now let's head back to camp alright? I'll tell Prof. Oak about this and we'll figure out what to do about it" I informed them.

As much as I want to go deeper into the woods, I can't let the kids get hurt because of my stupid decisions.

'Not again'

A sudden wave of guilt rushed through my body.

Why am I feeling this?

Then out of nowhere shone a bright light. An image of a young girl and a raven haired boy standing near the edge of a cliff. The girl held out her pinky, saying something I cannot hear, the boy smiled and nodded. The two stepped back and then-

"Miss look out!!" One of the kids cried out.

My body jumped by instinct, which I was thankful off, I look to my side and saw a Houndoom growling at me. I glare at it and threw out a Pokeball.

"Delphox use flamethrower!!" I commanded.

Delphox let out a a strong one, and I immediately went back on my feet and told them campers to head back. They all ran back to camp, and I followed behind them.

"Keep running!!" I yelled.

I glance at my back and saw the Houndoom chasing me and Delphox, who was running beside me after using flamethrower, and it looked like it wanted revenge.

"Delphox use psychic!" I told my partner and she immediately followed the command. The Houndoom was unable to move for a short amount of time. Once it was able to move we were already at a good distance away from it.

After running for our dear lives, we managed to all get back to safety. Well...minus Ash.

I told the kids to go back to their cabin while I call Prof. Oak.

*ring*

"Yes Serena?"

"There's an emergency professor! Ash needs help!" I exclaimed rather loudly.

"What happened?!"

I then told him a summary of what happened earlier.

"I see..." he murmured.

"What should we do Professor?!" I asked him desperately.

"I hate to say this but, you need to stay there for the time being. We need Gary and the others to save him"

"But Pro-"

"No butts! You're the Kalos Queen Serena, not a police officer. If you're going to save Ash you will need help. Stay there and watch the kids okay? We'll be there as soon as possible!" And he hang out.

I sigh in frustration and looked at the forest that I was at mere minutes ago.

'Watch the kids' echoed in my mind.

'But Ash needs you' I say to myself.

I grit my teeth and shook my head. I took a deep uneasy breath and slap my cheeks. I put on a determined look and went back to camp.

'Don't worry Ash, I'll save you'.
