Back story: Evangeline was born to Hunter Oakwood, a merman, and Amara DuPonte, a human. Their relationship was forbidden, but Hunter would be "human" and spend time with Evie as much as he could. Around the time she was 9, almost turning 10, her dad vanished, went missing, and her mother moved her from the town she grew up in to a town she didn't know. Over the years, Evie grew to hate her mother and severely miss the only parent who actually cared, her father. She often wondered why he just left without any trace.
Fun Fact: She has no idea she's half-mermaid from her dad's side.
