after driving around for a couple minutes in silence, jade spoke up. "joey...are you part of a band called new kids on the block"?

joey licked his lips and sighed, "yes jade. i'm sorry for not telling you about it. it's just your the first girl i met that didn't go all bonkers when you saw me".

jade looked at him. "i'm not mad—well anymore. and i forgive you but if your keeping anymore secrets from me, then i don't know! i'll think of something".

joey laughed and gave a genuine smile. no more secrets. he finally felt free. and jade still didn't go crazy. or ask for an autograph.

"wait i'm just asking a question but how did you not notice i was part of the band that the whole world could recognize"? joey truthfully asked.

"i guess it's because this town is kind of really religious. like we only can listen to religious music, unless you have a radio". jade said and every thing clicked.

she almost recognized jon because of his voice! because of audrey's radio!

"so...what now"? jade asked.

joey thought for a moment. "we go mini golfing".

jade smiled. she loved golfing.

but mini golf reminds her of her summer job. working at the amusement park that opens next week.

once they got there, joey pulled in to the closest space to the opening. they walked in, picked their clubs and golf balls. jade picked one that was yellow and a had a faded smiley face on it, however joey picked one that was neon green.

they started at hole one. jade went first. she delicately put the ball down. she took a breath and swing her club but stopped. then she hit it. the yellow ball went through the moving panels and got a hole in one. joey cheered.

next it was joey's turn. he tried to copy jade, since he never did this before. he wanted to impress her so he hit the ball with great strength. but the ball went off the mini course and landed onto the gravel.

jade began to  chuckle. she ran up to the ball and gave it back to joe.

then he tried again but slower. and he had to move several times so jade won.

after jade won a couple times, they were on course five.

which was really hard. it was a house and you have to hit it in a certain direction to get a hole in one.

jade decided joe should go. joe turned and hit it.

jade looked at the hole and the green ball was directly in it.

"joey! it's in!" yelled jade,

joey eyes widen. then jade said "i don't think i can do this...can you help"?

joey smiled. he moved so he's right behind her and wrapped his arms around the club.

it was perfect. joe hit it and jade looked at the yellow ball and it was in as well.

then someone yelled, "winner"! joe and jade looked over to see a family. probably the girl with them was around their age.

joe and jade kept playing. they were laughing. just have having a good time.

then it was time to go. joey drove her back to his house, got her bike and dropped her off at her house.

"thanks joe". jade said, then she kissed his cheek.

now joey is more confused than ever.
