after a long uncomfortable night on the floor, it was finally morning. jade and audrey were excited for tonight for a couple reasons.

1) they get to wear makeup tonight and wear dresses
2) they might see those boys again
3) food

they got up, got dressed into comfortable clothes for the day and cleaned up the mess they made.

"what should we do"? jade asks audrey out of boredom.

"how about the coffee shop"? audrey questions, braiding her hair into a french braid.

jade shakes her head, she wasn't a big coffee drinker. but the sound of coffee made jade nauseous.

"aud...im not feeling so hot right now". jade truthfully says.

audrey nods, "do you want me to come with you"?

jade shakes her head. she hugs audrey and grabbed her outfit she wore yesterday. a couple minutes later she was out of audrey's house.

jade promised she would come back to get ready with her later.

jade was beyond thankful to have a friend like audrey.

jade was walking down the street and began craving a Coco-Cola slurpee.

thankfully, she had enough to get a small one. she hurried down the street, turned and saw k-mart(idk if this is a thing).

jade opened the shop, noticing only the female register worker and a friendly-looking boy who probably was a couple years older than her were the only ones in there.

this didn't shock jade.

jade went to the slurpee part of the store, grabbed a cup and lid. she put the plastic lid onto the cup and pressed a button on the slurpee machine. brown slush began filling up the cup.

pulled away quickly when the slush was almost at the top. she grabbed a straw and started to slurp her version of heaven.

then she turned around quickly and smashed her slurpee into the boy.

"oh my! i'm so sorry"! jade said. "please forgive me".

"no..no..no, it's honestly okay! i have plenty of shirts". he said.

jade drew a deep breath in. "okay that makes me feel better".

"i'm jon by the way". jon said.

"i'm jade". then she recognized him, he was one of the boys in the group she saw yesterday.

"wait, is there any fun things to do around here? my friends and brother are keep bugging me about going to the beach everyday". he asked.

"well, tonight at the community center, everyone in town are going to go to eat dinner and dance". jade exclaimed.

"thank heavens". jon said.

then they left k-mart, going opposite directions. jade was on cloud nine, now her crush will there later.
