:you're coming over later for the fourth right? You and your mom?

The blonde sent

:yeah if she doesn't get wrapped up in the alt shift again :(

The brunette replied

:are you coming over now though?

The blonde sent

:why do you miss me already? Lol

The brunette sent back

:yes I do. Now get over here lol

The blonde sent before hitting his phone off. That's when he realized that he hadn't seen his parents all day. It was only 11:00 in the morning so he didn't think anything of it. That's when he heard the front door open

"Hey it's me!" The sound of the brunette filled the house

"Hey Colby!" Allison said form downstairs.

They talked for a minute before the brunette made his way upstairs to the blonde's room.

"Hey you," the brunette smiled while walking over to the blonde who was reading a book. He planted a light kiss on his cheek before flopping down next to him

"Hey," The blonde smiled back

"So what are the plans for today," the brunette asked

"Well we're having a barbecue later and your mom will come over and then we'll just hang around here until fireworks and so we'll all go and watch them but we can sneak away from everyone if you want," the blonde grabbed the collar of the brunette's shirt and pulled him closer before kissing him gently

"That works fine," the brunette said quietly before kissing his blonde once again
