Take Me Home
2 hours have passed the morning and we all didn't care about going to the movies. We decided to stay at Ted's place throughout the entire day. Pretty much nothing new we're talking about. It was just a normal day like any other day, except I'm here in 1989 with a DJ and two metal heads. Bill and Ted told me their story about how they almost failed history and how they won battle of the bands. It was nice to hear but Ted mentioned something that made us excited about. "Summer vacation is close dudes. Next week is the last week and we're out of school," said Ted with excitement. He's totally right. Summer is just around the corner and it is calling to us. Immediately, I grabbed a flyer that was on the table and a pencil out of my pocket. I wrote on the back of the flyer, "Lists to do for Summer Vacation." We begin to think of what to do for the summer. Obviously the two top choices are going to Disneyland and Waterloo. I added in events and concerts that are happening during the summer break, especially the tour of AC/DC, Iron Maiden, and Black Sabbath. From the looks on Bill and Ted's face, I can tell they're totally excited as they did their celebratory air guitar. Jack grabbed the pencil from my hand and wrote, "Santa Cruz." I was shocked because I did mention to him I wanted to go to Santa Cruz to check out the boardwalk. Bill and Ted looked at Santa Cruz and thought for a second. "Don't you know someone who lives in Santa Cruz?" asked Ted. Bill shrugs and answered, "No. I don't remember anyone who lives there but I do know a most excellent comic book store there. They're run by two kids who looks like they just got out of boot camp." Me and Jack look at each other and shrug it off. We continued to list places and stuff to do in the list for our vacation. Jack looks at me, Bill and Ted and asked, "how about we all go to 2016 for 4th of July? We can go to Long Beach and watch the fireworks." We agreed on Jack's idea as I said, "maybe we can check out the most famous Queen Mary. Maybe we can scare Bill and Ted while checking out the ship." Bill and Ted looked at each other and gulped nervously. "Ha! You can't scare us!" said Bill. "Yea. Me and Bill have seen a ton of horror movies and we know when there will be a jump scare," said Ted as he stick his tongue out at me. I chuckled and said, "oh but me and Jack won't scare you." Bill and Ted lost their bravery as Jack closed the garage door and I turned off the lights, giving a dark feeling. I grabbed a flashlight and shined it under my chin, making Bill and Ted try to be brave but became puss-weeds. I began to spoke softly but intense, "you see, if you have paid attention in history class you would've known about the Queen Mary. The Queen Mary was once a ship before she became a museum/hotel. In 1967, Long Beach bought the ship and turned it into what you already know. But before Long Beach bought it, in 1966 "Door #13" crushed at least two men to death, at different points during the ship's history. The most recent death, during a routine watertight door drill, crushed an 18 year-old crew member. In the first class swimming pool, which has been closed for more than three decades, women have often been seen appearing in 1930's style swimming suits wandering the decks near the pool. Others have reported the sounds of splashing and spied wet footprints leading from the deck to the changing rooms. Some have also said there was a spirit of a young girl, clutching her teddy bear." As I was talking about the spirits to Bill and Ted, they got closer to each other, almost wanting to hug each other in fear. I gave them an evil smirk and continued, "In the second class poolroom, the spirit of another little girl named Jackie is often been seen and heard. The unfortunate girl drowned in the pool during the ship's sailing days and reputedly refused to move on, as her voice, as well as the sounds of laughter has been captured here. In the Queen's Salon, which once served as the ship's first-class lounge, a beautiful young woman in an elegant white evening gown has often been seen dancing alone in the shadows of the corner of the room. Yet more odd occurrences have been made in a number of first-class staterooms. Reports have been made of a tall dark haired man appearing in a 1930's style suit, as well as water running and lights turning on in the middle of the night, and phones ringing in the early morning hours with no one on the other end of the line." "Ok," said Bill, nervously, "you can stop now." "Oh? But I have one more that will send you chills and nightmares for the rest of your life," I spoke with a devilish smirk. Bill and Ted gulped and pulled each other to a tight hug, not wanting to let go as I spoke my last words, "and finally, in the third class children's playroom, a baby's cry has often been heard, which made everyone thought it was an infant boy who died in his birth." When I whispered the last word, Bill and Ted felt more scared than ever. Imagine seeing their reaction when they watch Josh Gad dress up as Donald Trump in Lip Sync Battle. Blech. I think I'm gonna be sick. Anyways, I look at Bill and Ted and whispered, "now that you know the truth behind the dark secrets of the ship, make sure you think twice before spending a night there. Who knows who will be waiting for you?" As I smiled widely, Jack came out behind Bill and Ted and screamed as Bill and Ted jump in fear with a loud scream at the same time. Me and Jack began to laugh as I turned on the garage light and turned off the flashlight. We were dying as Bill and Ted looked at us and Bill said, "you dudes are dickweeds. You made Ted scratch his arm." We saw Ted covering his arm as it showed blood coming out. Jack runs to get the first aid kit and walked up towards Ted. "Oh bogus dude," I said. "We didn't mean to scare you like that." Ted looked at me as he began to laugh. Bill started to laugh with Ted as I became confused. "Why are you dudes laughing?" Ted uncovered his arm to see it was ketchup that was falling out of his arm. I couldn't believe I got tricked by the Wyld Stallyns. I clenched my fist and punched Ted in the face so hard, he fell unconscious. I glared at Bill as he took a couple steps back in fear. I open the garage door, run out and run back to Jack's house. I couldn't believe I punched my hero. Bill is also my hero but we're talking about Ted here. Anyways, I couldn't believe I punched Ted. Dammit. That was a dick move. I hope he's alright. I can't turn back now. What will Jack say once he finds out? Oh man. I wish I was back home in 2016. I just want to stay there and never come back here. I miss Los Angeles already. I miss looking at the buildings. Oh wait. Jack has a most excellent view to see the L.A. buildings from the distance. I got to his place, grab a ladder and start climbing to the roof. Once I reached the roof, I sat on the edge of the roof and saw the buildings of Downtown Los Angeles. The sun was still shining but it was worth a view. I pull out my phone and noticed I got a text from Jack. Dammit. He's gonna kill me. I ignored the text and went to my Instagram page. I looked through my feed and posted another photo of Bill and Ted with words that I just put on my photo. I hit post and I started to get likes and comments on there. I'm glad I made a Bill and Ted page but I feel even more guilty to be gone from 2016, especially once I punched Ted. I hope I didn't give him a black eye. I should buy him an apology gift later but right now, I just want my head clear and try to be calm.
