Pizza Anyone? part 1 (Adrienette)

Marinette looks around her in dismay.  The front lawn outside her place is a big mess. The thing is she can not figure who would do this or why they did it.  It is not like she has many enemies or friends.  She is a bit of a loner is what most people say about her.

Adrien goes to Marinette's house with a pizza.  He glances up at the small home and wonders if he got the address wrong.  It is not like him to make such a mistake. He shrugs his shoulders, walks to the porch, and rings the doorbell.

"Whatever you are selling I am not interested,"  Marinette retorts.

"Look, Miss, I am just a delivery boy," Adrien remarks.

"Ha, you sure look the part,"  She scoffs.

"Miss, it is my job," Adrien sneers.

"Fine, you got me there,"  Marinette responds.

"What kind of pizza is it?"  Marinette asks.

"It is a large thin crust pizza with pepperonis on half, black olives, mushrooms, and bacon on the whole thing,"  Adrien replies.

Marinette feels the drool form in her mouth at all the mouth-watering ingredients.  "I will be right back,"  She says.  She comes back and hands him a small tip.

"Thanks, but it is already paid for and..." Adrien starts to say.

"It is just a tip, so chill," Marinette blurts out.  She sees him cringe and feels bad she yelled at him.

"Sorry, it is just lately people have been coming by trashing my lawn or attempting to give me useless junk,"  She explains.

"Awe, that is a shame since you are rather pr-pretty," Adrien says suddenly feeling shy.

Marinette rolls her eyes, walks inside the house with the pizza, and slams the door. She does not even take the time to thank him for his compliment.

Adrien shrugs his shoulders as he thinks I suppose it is all in a day's work.  He climbs inside his car and drives to the next stop on his route.  He is glad to see the next place is in better condition than the last one.

"Yes, you brought my pizza!" A girl with blonde hair and blue eyes shouts.

"Uh, I suppose you could say so," Adrien mumbles.

"What was that boy?  I hate it when people mumble," She tells him.

The whole time she stands there with gum in her mouth, and one hand on her waist. The other she uses to point at the box.

"Here, is what I owe you and keep the change for your tip, I insist," She says as she smacks her gum.

"By the way, I am Chole," Chole remarks.

"Nice to meet you, Chole, I am Adrien,"  He says.

"Adrien, wow that is great, " She giggles.

Adrien leaves in a hurry ever so glad to get away from Miss giggle box. The whole time as he delivers pizzas to the rest of the folks who ordered it he wonders what was with the gruff behavior from the bluenette.  He sighs as it dawns on him he likes her. Leave it to him to have a crush on someone who seems to hate him.

Later, he arrives home to have his younger brother Plagg grab his ankle.

" Plagg, do not be like that you know Adrien works hard for all of us,"  His sister Andrea whines.

"Andrea, could you tone it down?  I had a rough day," Adrien tells his sister.

"Sure, sorry, Adrien,"  Andrea states as she hands Plagg a teddy bear.

Plagg releases his grip on Adrien's ankles to hold the bear. He sure seems to like it a lot.

Adrien washes his hand, then serves dinner for himself, and his two siblings put in his care after the unfortunate death of their parents. It was something that haunted his thoughts often as he was the one to witness the whole thing.  He did not discuss it with anyone.

After the meal, Adrien goes to his room and reads a book.  Andrea thinks it strange that Adrien should read so much, but not date anyone. It is not like she has not tried to set him up with anyone.

Andrea thinks maybe I am just a hopeless romantic for a sixteen-year-old.  She is glad Plagg is too young to remember their parents.  This way he can not be sad enough to be upset about the whole thing.

             Back to Marinette...

Marinette takes a bit of the pizza with a grin. She thinks maybe I should have been nicer to him.  She shakes her head.

"Ah, pull yourself together, Marinette, you do not need anyone," She tells herself.

"He was rather cute though,"  She remarks with a small blush across her face.
