"I still have no idea why you wanted me to come here," Marinette remarks. She scowls.

"This should be easy enough for you to understand, you are a party planner are you not?" Gabriel replies.

"What does that have to do with anything?" Marinette scoffs.

"I want you to plan a party for my son, Adrien," Gabriel explains.

"He did so well with his grades that he was accepted into Harvard Law School," He tells her.

"Look, Mr. Agreste, Adrien and I are not on speaking terms and..." Marinette begins to say.

"Oh, it is you!  What are you doing here?" Adrien says angrily. He is not to happy to see her.

"Father, can not you tell her to leave?" Adrien retorts.

"Adrien, I have important business to discuss with her," Gabriel says.

"Fine, but she better be gone by the morning," Adrien says in disdain and walks off.

Adrien goes to his room and thinks, why on earth did my father invite her here.

Meanwhile, Mr. Agreste goes onto to say,  "I will pay you  a fair price to plan the surprise  party for my son."

"Why of all the party planners in town did you pick me?"  Marinette asks angrily.

"I hear you are the best party planner in all of Paris,"  Mr. Agreste comments.

"Miss Chloe Bougerious even says as much herself," Gabriel brags.

"The mayor's daughter, recommended me?" Marinette asks with her eyes lifted in surprise at the statement.

"She told me you did the best job helping her plan her father's sixtieth birthday party!"  Gabriel goes on to say.

"Fine, I will help with the party, but Adrien and I are not friends," Marinette says threw gritted teeth.

"I assure you once you finish getting the plans made for it there will be no further need for you to come here,"  Gabriel reminds her.

"Well, now that we agree on something, I shall start at once on this college bound party," Marinette replies.

Unknown, to Adrien his father and the girl he hates work together for several weeks to ensure his party was one of the best ones in Paris.

The day before the party arrives, and Marinette still has not been paid. She shows up furious as she rings the doorbell.

Mr. Agreste allows her to come inside and asks,  "What brings you here anyway?"

"Ugh, you never paid me for my services," Marinette yells at him.

"Here, you go, Miss Dupain-Cheng," Mr. Agreste says as he hands her the amount agreed upon.

"Thank you, Good day, Mr. Agreste!" Marinette says, then she runs home.

Mr. Agreste thinks, to bad Marinette and my son do not get along. He thinks, she would be a great asset to our family.

"Father, why did I hear that clumsy girls voice here earlier?" Adrien demands to know.

"Son, she has finished her business discussion with me that is all," Gabriel tells him.

The next day, is Party Time!

"Hey, Let's get this started!" Nino says and begins to play some music.

" I say it is about time," Alya remarks.

"Adrien, congratulations in your college acceptance!" Chloe says.

                       "Harvard is it?" Nathaniel asks.

"Thanks for inviting me to the party," Luka says.

"Adrien, why is not Marinette here?"  Lila asks.

"Yeah, I hear she helped organize all this," Kagami adds to the conversation.

"I think it is strange the party planner never came," Kim says.

"What?  It is not possible because Marinette and I are not even friends," Adrien says.

"Adrien, your father hired Marinette do this," Natalie tells him.

"Natalie is right, after all she is the best!" Gabriel remarks.

"I refuse to believe she has anything to do with this," Adrien scoffs.

Marinette goes to her balcony and sighs. She thinks, I can not go to the party because Adrien would not like it.

The day after the party, Adrien packs his things to head off to college. He finishes and comes out of his room all set to go.

"Well, I am off to college now, father!" Adrien says.

"All right son, hope you have safe travels there," Gabriel responds.

"Bye, Adrien!  I bet you will make a great lawyer," Natalie tells him.

Adrien goes on his way to law school.

"Hey, watch it Agreste!" Marinette calls out when Adrien bumps into her.

"Is it true?  Did you help my father with the party he held for me last night?" Adrien asks angrily.

"Yes, but only because he insisted on hiring me and even paid me for the job," Marinette yells at him.

"You never came to see what people about it, why not?" Adrien asks in a less tough tone of voice.

"Like you care!  We have not been friends since the day you met Lila," Marinette retorts.

"Marinette, I do not love Lila. I tried to tell you, but you stopped speaking to me," Adrien says gently.

"Could we be friends again?"  Adrien asks.

"Yes, I would like that very much," Marinette answers.

" See you in a few years, friend," Adrien says. He hugs her and sighs as she returns the hug.

Marinette smiles as she waves at Adrien who boards the train to head off to law school.
