Marinette's Fourth of July in America part 14.2
This part takes place years later, after Marinette's first trip ever to America. It was the day she knew she was wrong about Adrien. It was the day they shared their first kiss. It was the day she felt as if she would never be the same again.
Marinette's POV:
"Adrien, can you believe it?" Marinette asks.
She gets no response from her fiance and gently touches his shoulder. She can over to see him and this is how he behaves. She wonders why he is so quiet. It is as if he has a lot on his mind.
"Adrien, did you hear me?" She asks.
She thinks is he sore at me or something.
Adrien's POV:
Adrien thinks today must be just right. It is the day, Marinette and I get married. Then, we will honeymoon in the same place where she began to love me. He can hardly wait to be the husband of Marinette Dupain-Cheng. He smiles when he sees she still wears it.
"You still wear the necklace after all this time," Adrien comments.
"Yes, it did come from someone very dear to me," She answers.
"I am glad you like it, sweetheart," Adrien replies.
"What was it you were saying?" He asks.
Marinette's POV:
Marinette thinks he must be distracted in some way. She hopes it is just because it is there wedding day. She admits it makes her feel excited too.
"Adrien, can you believe it? Today is the day we return to the spot where I first noticed you, or rather first discovered my true feelings for you," She remarks.
"Ah, yes, and I can hardly wait," Adrien remarks with a wink.
Marinette looks at the clock and gasp. "Goodness, look at the time, you better go so I can ready," She tells him.
She receives a quick kiss on the cheek and laughs.
Adrien's POV:
Adrien kisses her cheek and hears her laugh. "See you soon, darling," He says.
He leaves to go get himself ready for the big day. He arrives a few minutes later at the chapel.
Adrien sees the bridesmaids, Bridgette and Katie walk past, then the maid of honor, Alya, and finally, he sees his beautiful bride. He grins when she lets go of her father's arm and stands beside him. He listens as her father gives her away.
The ceremony goes by fast to him, but he is glad. He has so much to be grateful for at this moment. As the preacher says, "You may now kiss the bride!" Adrien reaches up, lifts the veil, and kisses Marinette. He does pull away as the crowd cheers and claps for them. He continues to kiss her and notices she kisses him as well.
"Awe, so cute!" Sabine says. She is happy for her son-in-law and her daughter. She can hardly wait for grandchildren but does not say as much so as not to embarrass them.
Adrien pulls back after Sabine's comment and blushes just a little.
Marinette's POV:
Marinette all dressed in white joins Adrien at the front of the chapel. She listens to the prayer, then says her vows right after Adrien completes his. She smiles at him as they exchange rings, and she blushes as he leans in to kiss her.
She kisses him and does not notice the kiss lasts longer than it is supposed too. She hears her mother shout and notices Adrien pull away soon afterward. She sees the cute blush reach his cheeks.
The wedding ceremony is over at last. She can hardly wait to spend her life with him by her side. Next is the reception, then the honeymoon.
Narrator's POV:
The wedding was small since Adrien's parents were both deceased, and most of those in attendance were Adrien's cousins, Marinette's mom, dad, twin sister, a few cousins, and her uncles and aunts, along with her paternal grandparents, Alya, Katie, Luka, Nathaniel, and Chole.
The reception went well for all of them. The menu was pimento cheese sandwiches, ham and cheese sandwiches, tuna salad with crackers, a cheese ball with more crackers to go with it, grapes, strawberries, kiwi, and blueberries. There were also a few mints, the wedding cake, and some punch. The punch was bright red since it was made from raspberry sherbet, raspberry ginger ale, fruit punch Gatorade, and cool whip.
Lots of photos were taken by the photographer, Luka. He was glad to have gotten an invitation especially ever all that had taken place. He was grateful for the fact Adrienette did not hold a grudge against him. He was glad he got a chance to show off his photography skills. He had gotten lots of photos at the wedding ceremony, along with a few videos, and now was taking pictures at the reception.
Luka saw a lovely woman who caught his eye. He knew he could recognize her from anywhere, his Bridgette. He did not know yet if he should announce the news. He had some to share but was not so sure the timing was not off. This being Adrien and Marinette's special day and all. He felt like he should save that for some other time.
Bridgette's POV:
"Come on let us dance, Luka," Bridgette says.
"I would but who would take the rest of the pictures?" He asks.
"I will take of it, man, you go dance with her," Nathaniel offers.
"Thanks, man, I owe you one," Luka replies.
Bridgette smiles when Luka joins her on the dance floor. She is so glad to spend this time alone with him. She knows they are not alone, but to her, they might as well have been.
Adrienette's POV:
After they greet all the guests at the party, eat some tasty food, and cut the wedding cake, they announce, "Thanks all for coming and sharing in our moment."
Adrien wraps an arm around his wife as she hands him a slice of cake. He eats some then offers her some as well. He smiles as she eats it. He never did think the tradition of smashing cake in the bride's face made much sense.
Now, Adrien drinks some punch and so does Marinette. They say, "Okay, anyone who wishes to give a toast, do so now."
Adrien and Marinette wait to see how others respond.
Just as they thought no one would Sabine raises her glass, and says, "I want to make a toast to Adrien and Marinette, I thank you Adrien for marrying our daughter, Marinette. To Marinette, I thank you for coming to your senses and seeing he is the one for you."
Tom raises his next, "I toast Adrienette to have many years of a blessed marriage, to leave in unity with each other, to have many children, and to settle any arguments they might have in a kind manner."
"Here, here," Luka agrees.
"I second that toast," Bridgette says.
"Also, I might add that you take good care of my sister, Adrien Agreste," Bridgette remarks.
"I toast that they have a happy life, full of God's little blessings," Alya says.
"My toast is that the couple remains faithful to one another no matter life throws their way," Katie states.
"My toast is for them to love each other always," Chole states.
"My toast is for them to love each other as they ought to, but forgive each other when forgiveness is sought," One of Marinette's cousins, Lissy says.
"I toast them to have a blast on the honeymoon if you get what I mean," Felix states.
Adrien and Marinette smile as they thank them for their kind words. They feel blessed to have so many great family members and friends. The two walk away hand in hand out to the car. They climb in as the crowd blows some bubbles instead of throwing rice.
Narrator's POV:
Adrien and Marinette arrive a few hours later at the nice place they plan to stay in for the trip. They go inside and take a look around them. The two think this place has just about everything.
"Wow, we are back here at last," Adrien blurts out.
"Yes, we sure are," Marinette squeals.
Marinette and Adrien arrive at the beach just in time to see the fireworks. This is because they got married on July 4th so many years later after their previous trip to America. The two watch them pop in the sky and grin.
Adrien turns to Marinette and kisses her. He thinks yes, at last, I get to share a kiss with her on the Fourth of July at the beach in the USA. He gets a kiss from her and feels the sparks fly just like they did years ago when they shared their first kiss.
Adrien's POV:
Adrien carries his wife back to the room once the firework show ends. He thinks this way we can have some fun without the other visitors to the beach disturbing us. He locks the door, once they are inside and smirks at his Marinette.
"You are a sight for eyes, my firecracker," Adrien says.
He sings the same silly song he did once before and sees her blush.
As soon as he finishes the song, he removes his t-shirt and lets it fall to the floor, then removes her sandals, her coverup top, and his shoes... He kisses her cheek, then her chin, her neck, and her lips. He feels her response with a nice kiss.
Adrien deepens the kiss and thinks man, she is so hot and she is my woman.
Marinette's POV:
Marinette notices when Adrien deepens the kiss and moans a bit. She pulls away just to tease him and lays on the bed, she sees him walk over to her and grins. She can not wait to make love to him for the first time. She knows it is okay because she loves him, he loves her, and they are one at last. She is Mrs. Marinette Agreste.
She moans as he kisses her and deepens it as he did previously.
the end...
