Dear Readers, 

          I thought about it and decided to write a Lukanette Mother's Day Special.  Not sure what brought this on, but I hope you manage to enjoy it as I put a lot of work into it.

      Marinette woke up with the feeling that today was special, but she was not sure what was so great about it. She looks at her calendar and sees it is May.  She shrugs her shoulders with uncertainty.  

    "Oh, there you are sweetheart," Luka, her husband says.

     "Luka, do you know what day it is today?" Marinette asks. She yawns to show how tired she is right now.

     "Dear if you are that tired you can always go back to bed," Luka replies.

     "Mom, it is alright if you need extra rest we understand," Her son, John tells her.

      "Yes, mom we have got this,"  Her daughter,  Olivette says.

       " I will bring you breakfast in bed, now go on and get back in there," Luka demands.

     "Oh, okay, if you insist," Marinette responds.

         Luka fixes the waffles, orange, and coffee.  John prepares the strawberries since he knows they are his mother's favorite fruit, and Olivette sits down to read a book.  It is the least they can do for her on this special day.
