    "Mommy,"  Emma says.

           "Yes, Emma?" Marinette asks.

             "I want a dad for Father's Day,"  Emma says.

                 Marinette is taken aback by the statement from her child.  She is about to say something about the unrealistic expectation when Adrien talks to Emma.

                "Emma, you know you can not just expect something so gigantic for father's day," Adrien tells her.

               Emma sighs then begins to frown as she puffs her lower lip out,  "I know you want to be happy too, "  She sobs.

                "It is not up for me to decide," Adrien says.

                    The nurse enters the room and says, "Sorry, but you two need to leave.  You are upsetting the patient."
 

                    "What but I am her mother," Marinette protest.

                           Adrien gently grabs Marinette's arm and walks towards the door.  He is glad to see she did not drop her purse on the way out the door.  He does not say a word as he walks to the elevator and pushes in a button. 

                           Once on the elevator, he lets go of her arm and selects the floor for the parking area.   "Adrien, why did you do that for?" Marinette asks through gritted teeth.

               "Marinette, stop it!" Adrien blurts out.

                   "Oh, yeah, and just tell me why green-eyed boy?" Marinette states this in a mocking tone. 

                   Adrien grabs her wrists and says, "Mari, I  love you."  He speaks so softly she almost does not hear him.  He looks into her eyes and sees she is scared.   He gently cups her chin in his hand and kisses her.  He does not care if she hates him later for it.  He just knows in that moment he has to get her to be quiet.

                  "Wh-what was the k-kiss for A-Adrien?"  Marinette stutters.

                    "To get you to shut up!" Adrien states with a smirk.

                  "Why Adrien Agreste, I ought too..." Marinette says.

                    "Ought to what Mari?" Adrien asks. 

                         Marinette pulls her hands out of his grasp and places them on his cheeks. She hears his sigh as he asks, "Mari, what are you doing?"

                          Marinette leans in and kisses him. She does not know what came over her. She just kisses his lips. She sees tears fall from his eyes.

                           "Mari, I-I  can not do this anymore," Adrien says sadly.

                           "Shh, shut up and kiss me now," Marinette tells him.

                              Adrien looks at her in surprise but kisses her. He feels her give in to the kiss and smiles as she kisses him in return. He deepens the kiss. He hears the doors open to the elevator but does not care. He pulls away and mutters, "M-Mari, wh-what does this m-mean for u-us?"

                            "Adrien, I love you," Marinette responds. She looks at the buttons on his shirt in shame. She feels so silly about how she treated him all this time.

                          "Mari, you do not know how long I have waited to hear you say those words," Adrien replies.

                        "What words?"Marinette asks with a grin.

                           Adrien smirks at her as she says, "Oh, you mean these words, I love you, Adrien."

                            "Mari, will you be my girlfriend?" Adrien asks. He looks into her eyes as he speaks.

                           "Yes," Marinette says.

                            "Good because a minute there I was afraid you would say no,"  Adrien states.

               "Haha, Adrien, I can not turn you away anymore,"  Marinette responds.

                       Adrien and Marinette notice the elevator went back up. They laugh as they both reach for the button at the same time. Their hands' touch and they blush.  The doors reopen a few minutes later on the correct floor. They exit together with Adrien's hand over Marinette's.

                     "Here is your car, girlfriend," Adrien says.

                       "Yes, and there is your car, boyfriend," Marinette says.

                            Adrien kisses her on the cheek, then climbs into his car. 

                               Marinette feels her cheek turn a nice shade of pink as she climbs into her car. 

                Later, that night, Adrien is at his place with a grin on his face.  Marinette has the same grin on her face as well while in her home.

               You know if you were not so cute, I would have given up on you years ago.

             Marinette's text to Adrien

              Oh, yeah if you were not so cute, I would not have fallen for you.

                 Just kidding, I fell for you because of your kindness over the years to me and Emma.

               I can not wait to tell Emma that we are together.:)

      Back to Emma...

          Emma sits there wondering after the nurse finishes how soon her mother and Mr. Adrien will make up. She hopes it is soon.  She hates to see them at odds with each other.  She knows they are in love. She smiles at the knowledge that maybe soon those two will be together.

         Emma falls asleep and has a rather nice dream.
