"Does this mean that the love you once had for me no longer exists?" Marinette asks.
   
           Marinette looks at  Chat with sadness in her eyes and voice. She thinks I must know how you feel even if it breaks my heart.

          "M-Marinette, I  brought you something,"   Chat says.  He hates to see her sad expression.

      "What is it Ch-Chat?" Marinette asks sadly.

     
      "Here,"  Chat replies as he hands her an envelope and a box.

         Marinette rips open the envelope and sees a letter from him again.  This time the letter is on paper that has a rose petal border to it.  She sits back down to read it.

        Dear Marinette,
     
       Princess, I know lots of time has gone by since I last wrote to you.

       I  wish I could forget so many things. There is one thing I never wish to forget though and it is you.

      Marinette, you mean so much to me.  I feel as though time could stop around me and I would notice as long as you were there to share it with me.

      I love you!

   Marinette finishes the letter and thinks, he still loves me after all this time. She looks at him in surprise.  She can not believe it her Chat still cares for her. She thought he forgot all about her, but it turns out his love grew stronger for her over time.

     Next, Marinette opens the box and looks inside it.  She smiles, and says,  "Chat, it is too much.  I mean why would you spend so much for me?"

     "Only the best for you, princess," Chat replies.

  "Marinette, it is a promise ring.  It is to show that I love you, "  Chat says.

"Wow, Chat!  It is lovely,"  Marinette says as he slips it on her finger.

"Lovely, no that would be you, princess," Chat responds.

  "Oh, Chat you always have a way with words,"  Marinette replies.

    "Does this mean since you wear it that you love me?"  Chat asks. He looks at her with one ear tipped a bit to the side.

      "Yes, I love you!"  Marinette tells him.

        Marinette and Chat kiss each other, then they go downstairs to speak to her parents.

          "Mom and Dad, look at the promise ring, Chat gave me,"  Marinette says.

      "I think it is a nice gesture,"  Tom says.

     "Nice, it is romantic.  Chat that ring looks expensive, but I say you have good taste," Sabine says.

     "I approve, Chat. I can see our daughter loves you very much,"  Tom says.

    "Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Cheng,"   Chat says.

         Chat and Marinette go on a date, then later, Chat gives Marinette a quick kiss on the lips and her mother snaps a photo.

       "Mom, what was that for anyway?"   Marinette asks.

  "Oh, you will see!"  Sabine says.


       Sabine and Tom go to bed to give Chat and Marinette some privacy.
 
         "Chat, I am so glad you are alive and thank you for the ring,"  Marinette says.

          "Oh, I knew you would like it, your welcome princess.  I am glad I am alive too, so I can do this," Chat says.  He leans in and kisses Marinette again.

          "See you soon, sweetheart," Chat says and jumps away into the night.

           "See you soon, my Chat,"  Marinette says.
